《Cuore Mio》Chapter Fifty Eight - It's Her

Dante's POV:
It has been a few days since we confessed our love to each other. In all honesty, I was so scared to tell her because I was afraid that she wouldn't feel the same but clearly, I was wrong.
She loves me too. I felt my cheeks become red in excitement. It was 9:30 pm right now and the love of my life is in the kitchen.
She told me not to enter in there so, I am on the bed in my room, doing work.
"Are you busy ?" Azalea asked me, peeking her head through my bedroom door.
I discreetly kept my phone down, hiding the fact that I was doing work. I didn't want to tell her that I was busy. I can make time for my girl.
"No." I nodded my head sideways. "Why ?"
"I'm making pizza. Do you want to help to do the toppings ?" She asked, holding her floury hands together in the front.
Although, her hair was messy and her face was covered in flour too, she still looked beautiful.
The outfit she was wearing right now was more than enough to make me crazy. Azalea was wearing sweatpants with a cute cropped-like sweater.
Moments later, I came back to my senses and realized that she had just asked me something and I had to respond. "Yeah, I'm coming."
She smiled in satisfaction. I got out of the bed and walked with her to the kitchen.
"Sooo...I made the dough already, all that is left is the toppings." She explained, gesturing her hands to the pizza.
"Okay, then." I said, rubbings my hands together. "Let's do this."
"Uh, uh." She stopped me. "I ain't gon' let you touch the pizza. Wash your hands first."

"Okaaay, Mom..." I groaned and walked towards the sink to wash my hands. When I did, I wiped my hands on a towel and turned around to help her.
I saw her stretching and standing on her tip toes to reach something in one of the cupboards.
Oh. My. God.
That....tattoo. That tattoo...on her waist. It's the same one that the woman on that night had. She had helped me when I was stabbed.
It's her, it has to be. It's been her, my Stellina, all this while.
"Are you okay ? You look like you just saw a ghost." Azalea's voice spoke.
Without a second thought, I took a few long strides towards her and enveloped her in my arms, burying my face in the crook of her neck.
It's her.
"Is everything okay ?" She asked again, wrapping her arms around me too. At this point, I didn't want to let her go but I had to tell her.
Pulling away, I asked, "A little more than a year ago, did you help a man when he was stabbed ? You stitched up his wound, gave him a sandwich and even a blanket."
She looked baffled at my question. "Yeah, I did. How did you kn-" She stopped when she connected all the dots.
"That was you. Dante." Azalea whispered, smiling at the memory of when I told her my name.
I nodded. "You helped me even when you didn't know me. You're my angel."
"How'd you know ?" She asked, furrowing her eyebrows.
I looked down and placed my hand on her waist. "I saw this."
She looked too and saw the tattoo that had strength on it and smiled. "My parents and I had gotten matching tattoos. I mean, not my real ones, but you get what I mean."

I lifted my shirt and pointed to the tiny red heart tattoo that I had gotten on the scar that was a result of the stab. "I got this in memory of you. You literally saved my life that night."
Azalea smiled, touching the tattoo in my torso. "I can't believe you did that."
"Well, I did." I said, holding her face. Smashing my lips onto hers, I poured out all the love I had in that one kiss to let her know how much she means to me.
She kissed me back too, twirling her fingers in my hair. I love this woman so much.
Without breaking the kiss, she jumped and wrapped her legs around my torso. I carried her to my bedroom and placed her on the bed.
When we pulled away, her lips were red and swollen and I'm pretty sure mine were too.
She looked up at me with those alluring ocean blue eyes of hers and....yawned. Why is she so adorable ? What is trying to do to me ?
"Sleep, Stellina." I said, covering her petite body with my quilt.
"No. We have to eat." She grumbled, trying to take the quilt off.
"Don't worry about that. I'll do it." I said, once again covering her with the quilt.
"Mmmhmm....." She hummed, half asleep.
Walking back to the kitchen, I finished putting the toppings of the pizza and left it in the oven to cook.
Then, I cleaned the kitchen and woke her up to eat.
Azalea woke up and had a shower and then the both of us ate dinner....and then slept again.
A few hours later...
It was about 4:00 am now and I couldn't sleep again. I turned to Azalea and saw her sleeping peacefully.
I couldn't help but gaze at her with my own two eyes. It was more than perfect, she is more than perfect. It reminded me why I love her so much.
She doesn't need makeup; she doesn't need lipstick, she doesn't need her hair done. My Stellina is beautiful the way she is.
We're best friends and I'm so lucky to have her. At times we laugh with each other for no reason until we cry.
She is my everything. She can take on anything by herself. She is strong but she knows that when she can't, I will take care of her.
My life hasn't always been easy and neither is love. But, I'm going to love her with all my heart; until death and even after that because my love for her will never end.
