《The Three CEOs》pt40. Love Unconditionally

"Caden! Say hiii!" Izzie yells behind a camera. Caden smiles as she gets her makeup done. She's decided on a soft pink glow that accentuates her facial features and matches her dress.

God, her dress. She loved her dress. It was absolutely breathtaking. It was a light pink, off the shoulder gown, with floral lace and flowers roaming the skirt and waistline. Caden had decided on a big wedding gown, because, you know, why not? After everything she had been through, she wanted her wedding to be a night no one would ever forget.

And one that would make her feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. Silas would argue she already was.

"HI!" Caden replies back to the camera.

"What are you doing right now?" Izzie adjusts the camera shakily as she tries to control her excietment.

"Welll, if you must know, I am getting ready for my wedding." Caden laughs as Izzie rolls her eyes. "Can we take a look of the dress?" Izzie asks.

Caden looks at the makeup artist, waiting for her approval. When the artist finally nods, Caden stands up and looks down, taking a good, long look of the most beautiful dress she's ever owned. No offense, mom, Caden thought.

"You look stunning!" Izzie squeals.

Caden felt stunning. she felt amazing at that moment. And she knew that this amazing feeling would last for the rest of her life.

"You nervous?" Sage asks, having walked into the dressing room of his older brother.

Silas looks up from his mirror. "For the wedding, nah. I'm just anxious to see her." Silas was on his toes this morning, anxiously waiting to see his beautiful bride-to-be in her wedding dress. He was already ready for the wedding. He wanted it to start, dammit, just so he could see the love of his life walk down that aisle. See her put a ring on his fingers and vow to spend the rest of their lives together.

He was more than ready. He dreamt of this moment for years. To have someone to love and someone who loved him back. And he had found her.

He'd never let her go. Ever.

"If you need to throw up, aim for that bucket." Sage points to an Office Depot bucket hidden behind a drawer. Silas doesn't look so amused. "You bought a fucking bucket?" he asks incredulously.

Sage looks up innocently at his older brother. "Well yeah, you know, just in case of cold feet and all. I would hate to see her dress get ruined. And man is that a dress." That comment just made him to want to see his wife even more. Sorry, future wife.

What the hell, he's been her wife since he proposed, with or without a wedding. And the legal documentation.

Silas never was a patient man.

"Or, I can just aim the vomit towards you. You will be right next to me, after all. Closer aim distance." Sage looks at Silas, shocked as can be. "You dare!"

Silas smirks. Always so fucking dramatic. "Don't test me."

Sawyer walks in a minute later, looking slightly grumbly that Sage was chosen as his best man and not him. He'll get over it, Silas thought.

"You look dapper," Sage comments, knowing damn well why he's upset. "Shut the hell up, Sage." Maybe more than grumbly.

Silas smiles at Sawyer, not particularly trying to comfort him but kind of comfort him. None of the brothers ever admitted which was their favorite but no words were needed when Silas decided on his best man.

"Oh, lighten up, Sawyer," Sage says happily. "When it's my wedding, you can be my best man." He slaps Sawyer on the back while Silas looks up at Sage, outraged.

"Excuse me! I should be the best man, not him. Then what's the point of you being mine!" Silas looks like he's upset, but in all honesty, he doesn't really care that much. It's just fun to rile up his little brothers.

"That is so hurtful!" Sage yells. "I thought you chose me as your best man from the love you have me in your heart. Now I see where your true intentions lie. Alright, just for that, Sawyer will definitely be my best man. So suck. On. That!" Sage angrily stomps away, slamming the door shut.

"He's always so dramatic," Silas sighs, a slight smile hanging on the corners of his lips.

"Yep. Probably got that from all the sitcoms he watched as a kid," Sawyer comments.

A slightly awkward silence ensues. Silas continues to get ready while Sawyer stands by the bathroom.

"You know," Sawyer says, after the silence has become slightly unbearable. "You kind of have me to thank you for her."

Silas quirks an eyebrow. "How do you figure that?"

"Well, you were ready to kick her out. Even after the whole hacking computer thing. And I was the one to suggest the PA job to her. Sooo, I am basically the mother of your relationship."

Silas coughs a laugh. "Mother of our relationship?" Just the sound of those words together makes a laugh bubble out of Silas.

"Don't laugh. It's true. Without me, it would be highly unlikely that any of this would have happened." His hands gesture to the room and most likely, to the woman in the hall across from them getting ready.

Silas falls silent, thinking for a bit. "I suppose you're right." Silas never thought of that. Sawyer was the one to pitch the idea of Caden working for them, which he completely rejected. But Sawyer went along and did it anyway. And there weren't a million thank yous to express how grateful he was that he did.

"So really, who should've been the best man?" Sawyer looks at Silas knowingly. Silas just rolls his eyes. "Fine. Fine, it should've been you." Sawyer smiles triumphantly.

Silas's breath is robbed when he sees his wife standing there. The guests haven't arrived to the ceremony yet. It is just them. A private first-look.

And thank God for it because Silas can already feel tears burning his eyes at the sight of his wife. At the sight of her dress. She looks breathtaking. Absolutely breathtaking.

The dress hugs her perfectly around the waist and the train spreads out in the back of her. She looks like a goddess. His goddess.

"You look- you look," he tries to say, but there are no words to describe the way he's feeling right now. No words to describe the love he has for her.

Caden walks up to him and wipes away the tear Silas desperately tried not to let escape. "You look beautiful, Silas," she whispers into his ear before taking him into her arms. They hold onto each other for what feels like a lifetime.

Time has stopped as the man and woman embrace each other, fully ready to commit each other into their lives. Caden's once fractured heart beats wholly inside her again. And she knows Silas feels the same way too.

So they stand there, embracing each other, savoring this moment until the very end.

Caden's vows

"I can't begin to describe the emotions I feel for you right now. I have never felt so loved when I am with you. You make me a stronger person everyday. There is no other man who I would want to spend the rest of my life with. No other man who will wake me up in the morning just to shower me with kisses. No other man who will make me breakfast in bed every morning. No other man who is so dedicated to me, dedicated to his love, that he'll go to therapy and become the man that I deserve. You are anything but perfect. You are sometimes infuriating, and frustrating, and sometimes, sometimes I just want to rip my hair out when we argue. But you're perfect for me. Absolutely perfect. And I love you. I will forever love you unconditionally. You deserve nothing less."

Silas and Caden put each other's rings on, and vowed to always love each other unconditionally. Because they both deserved nothing less.
