《Cry For Me》Chapter 39

Camryn's POV

I wake up to my alarm going off and I groan at the thought of going to school. It takes me a few seconds to realize that someone else is in my bed and it isn't Colton. It takes me another few seconds to remember that I'm skipping school, so I turn off my alarm and fall back asleep.

When I wake up again, it's because I feel movement on my bed. I open my eyes to see Aimee going into the bathroom. I sit up and wipe the sleep from my eyes and stretch my arms out.

Memories from the night flood my mind and I'm instantly upset thinking of the address that I have on my computer. I shake the thoughts from my head, today is supposed to be a good day.

"Good morning," Aimee smiles, exiting the bathroom.

"Good morning," I yawn back. I walk into the bathroom and brush my teeth and wash my face.

"Dude don't you have school?" Aimee calls from the room.

"Nope," I call back. "Colton and I are skipping so we can all hang out." I throw my hair into a ponytail and go back into the room to make my bed.

"Ooooo, what are we gonna do?" She asks.

"How about breakfast and a movie?" I suggest.

"Sounds great!" She cheers, "I'm gonna get ready."

She goes back into the bathroom and I can hear her digging underneath my sink trying to find a curling iron I assume.

I grab my phone off of my counter and call Colton as I sit down on my now made bed. He answers on the second ring.

"Good morning," he mumbles. His voice is raspy and twice as deep as usual.

"Good morning, have I ever told you that you sound very sexy in the morning Mr. Sommers?" I say in a very matter-of-fact tone.

"No, you haven't," he laughs loudly. "Maybe you should make your way over here and hear my sexy voice in person," he suggests.

"Hmm, I'd rather not," I laugh.

"Why not?" He asks, sounding shocked.

"3 reasons," I tell him. "1. Aimee is here 2. I'm pretty sure your voice won't sound the same in person and 3. I'm almost positive you haven't brushed your teeth yet, so no."

Colton laughs again, "Fine, can you at least tell me why you woke me up so early?"

"You're taking Aimee and I to breakfast and a movie, we're getting ready now so come over when you're ready."

"Alright, I'll be over soon." We exchange I love yous and hang up. I join Aimee in the bathroom to start my makeup. I do my usual routine and curl my hair once Aimee was done using the curler.

"Is this cute?" I ask my cousin, holding up an outfit.

"Yes, very, what about this?" She asks me, holding up her outfit. I nod and we both change. I'm wearing a cream colored dress with lace detailing that stops just above the knee, paired with a brown jacket that's almost as long as my dress, along with brown boots and my favorite leg warmers.

Aimee is wearing light washed skinny jeans with a white tank top and a thick Aztec printed cardigan. Her long hair is curled loosely and she's wearing little mascara and a nude lip gloss.

As we're putting the finishing touches on our looks, there's a knock on the front door. Aimee and I both go downstairs to let Colton in. I open the door to see Colton leaning against the frame with two flowers in his hand.

He's wearing all black. Black jeans, black T-shirt, black leather jacket and black Nikes. On most people it would look a little much, but on Colton it looks absolutely perfect. His hair is perfectly styled in his own messy way and his face is flawless, well almost. The bump on his head is still a little visible.

"You look great," Colton says, eyeing me up and down, making me blush. He's biting his lip and I want to tell him to quit it because Aimee is right behind me, even though she can't see him, but I enjoy seeing the affect I have on him.

"You don't look too bad yourself," I smile. He steps forward, moving his free hand behind my neck, pulling my lips to his. Our kiss is brief but it's enough to keep me wanting more. I love my cousin but I really wish she was somewhere else right now.

Colton looks me in the eyes, and as if reading my mind, he whispers, "Later." He winks and takes a step back. "This is for you," he says, handing me a flower. "And this one is for you," he says to Aimee who was thankfully staring at her phone the whole time.

"Wow Colton, that's very sweet of you," she smiles, sniffing the flower.

"Aren't these to flowers from my mom's garden?" I ask, raising my brow to him.

"Hey, it's the thought that counts," he laughs. "Now let's leave, I'm starving."

I grab my keys and lock the front door. I toss them to Colton and Aimee and I both get into my car. We drive off and Colton heads toward the only shopping center we have in this town. It has a movie theater and a few places to eat along with a bunch of clothing stores.

We all agree on eating at Denny's and when we pull up, there's only a few other cars in the parking lot. Were seated right away and Aimee and I sit next to each other in the booth while Colton sits across from us.

Aimee and I order pancakes and eggs and Colton orders some type of breakfast sandwich.

"What movie are we seeing?" Aimee asks, her mouth full of food.

"That new horror movie looks good," I suggest.

"Oooo the one where that one lady dies and comes back to haunt everyone? Yea lets see that," Aimee says and Colton agrees. We all finish our food and I reach into my purse for my wallet.

"What do you think you're doing?" I look up and Colton has a fake confused look on his face because he knows exactly what I'm doing. I wave my wallet at him and he lets out a laugh. "Oh no you don't. This is my treat, and as if I'd ever let you pay for anything," he laughs.

"Hey, we are equals so I want to help pay," I say pulling out some money.

"Let him pay, he's being a gentleman," Aimee says, grabbing the money from me and putting it back in my wallet.

"Thank you Aimee," Colton says triumphantly, handing his credit card to the waitress who has been looking at him the whole time we were here. Every time she came to the table, she'd smile at him and bite her lip. I want to smack her, but I'm a lady.

She comes back to the table and gives Colton his card back, "Have a nice day, come back soon," she smiles, twirling her hair in her fingers.

"Thank you," Colton says to her. She walks away and I roll my eyes. "What's the matter?" Colton asks as we walk to the car.

"Nothing it's just rude to hit on someone's boyfriend right in front of their eyes," I say as if its not big deal, getting into the passengers seat.

"Oh come on, she was just being nice," he defends her, starting the car.

"What do you think Aimee, was she being nice or was she hitting on him?" I ask.

"Oh she was totally hitting on him, who says come back soon like that? Ugh." This is why I love my cousin, we're always on the same page.

"Fine, but can you blame her? You do have a pretty hot boyfriend," Colton smirks and I can't help but laugh.

We find a parking space close to the entrance of the theater and I try to buy our tickets, but Colton beats me to it. We walk into the lobby and get in line to buy snacks. There's only a few people in the lobby total.

"I'm going to run to the restroom real quick before the movie," Colton says, kissing me quickly on the cheek, leaving Aimee and I in line.

"Dude he's perfect for you," Aimee swoons.

"Right?" I agree, laughing. The line is moving pretty quickly and I forgot to ask Colton what kind of snack he wanted, so I look towards the restrooms but he's not out yet. As I'm looking I make eye contact with a boy a few feet away. He smiles and starts walking towards me and Aimee.

"Hey, how are you ladies doing today?" He asks. There's something about his smile that doesn't seem genuine to me, it makes me nervous. He looks like he's my age, maybe older and that makes me wonder why he isn't in school. For some odd reason he looks familiar but I can't think of how I might know him.

"Hey," Aimee smiles, "We're fine, how about yourself?"

"Great, now that I have myself a date to this movie," he says, putting his arm around my shoulders.

"Excuse me, knock it off," I say, shocked at how forward this guy is being. Aimee's smile turns to disgust as I push him away. What kind of creeps come to the movies this early.

"Oh come on baby, don't be like that," he says, this time putting his arm around my waist, pulling me to his side. I try to push him off and I'm surprised the people around us don't notice our struggle.

"What the fuck?" I hear Colton behind me and relief runs through my body, but the boy still isn't letting go of my waist as we turn around to face Colton.

Colton's eyes go wide and I'm not sure why, other than the fact that this guy won't let go of me. Meanwhile Aimee is just staring, waiting for something to happen.

"Let her go Penn," Colton growls. Penn? The guy who Colton sent to the hospital?! Didn't they just get into a fight at the last party Colton went to?

Instead of letting me go, Penn pulls me closer. He's stronger than he looks. "Aw is somebody getting angry?" Penn teases. Colton's hands turn to fists and I finally realize why he hasn't made a move yet. If he hurts this guy again, he could get in serious trouble.

"Tell you what, let me take your girl to the back alley for some fun, then we'll call it even," Penn laughs coldly. He turns his head and tries to kiss my cheek but as I'm about to push his face away, Colton's fist connects with his jaw.

Penn releases me, taking a few steps back. I hurry to get out of the way and Aimee pulls me to her side. The people in line notice and gather around.

"I was waiting for you to do that," Penn says, spitting out blood. He charges Colton and tackles him to the ground. I scream for them to stop, but it does nothing, as usual.

Penn gets in a few punches before Colton pushes him off and starts pounding on his face. A few male employees run to the scene to try and break up the fight, but they all seem too scared to try and pull them apart.

Penn's face is covered in blood, but he's still fighting back.

"Colton stop it!" I scream. "Do something!" I yell at the one of the employees. I'm about to try and stop it myself, but Aimee holds me back.

Finally two men that were in line drop their popcorn and pull the boys away from each other. Colton shakes his guy off and starts walking towards me and Aimee while Penn is screaming, struggling to break free from his guys hold to come after Colton again, but luckily the man keeps him away.

Colton grabs my wrist and pulls me outside, not saying a word and Aimee follows closely behind.

I hadn't realized I was crying until I touch my hand to my face and feel that it's damp. We reach the parking lot and Colton searches his pockets with his free hand for the keys. When he finds them, he opens my car door and closes it for me once I'm in. Aimee gets in on her own and Colton gets into the drivers seat.

Colton lets out a frustrated groan and punches the steering wheel. I flinch and I hear Aimee gasp quietly.

"Are you okay?" Colton asks, looking at me. I nod quickly. "He did that on purpose, he did that to spite me!" He yells. "He knew I wouldn't fight him over something stupid so he went after you!"

"Colton it's okay-"

"No it's not okay! I've been trying so hard Camryn, I've been trying so hard to be good for you and he fucked it up!" Colton covers his face with his hands and groans angrily again.

"Colton," I say, pulling his hands away from his face. "This isn't your fault, he was being an asshole. You did what you had to do to protect me so don't tell me that you think you're not good for me. I knew what you were risking to help me and I love you for that, do you understand me?" I ask sternly. There is no way in hell going to let the love of my life believe that he isn't good for me.

I put my hand under his chin and force him to look at me. I can tell how angry he is by the glossy look in his eyes. "Do. You. Understand. Me." I repeat.

"Yes," he whispers. I bring my lips to his and I can taste blood in our kiss. I pull away and hold his right hand with both of mine as we drive home in silence. The sky is dark and gloomy, it looks like it's going to rain. I hope it does, I always feel better when it rains.

I'm a little embarrassed that Aimee had to go through this with us, I'll need to talk to her about it when we're alone.

We pull into my driveway and Aimee quickly gets out of the car, thanking Colton for breakfast and the movie since he did buy the ticket.

"I'm so sorry she had to see that," Colton mutters. I take off my seatbelt and climb on top of him, taking his face in my hands. Our faces our only an inch apart thanks to the small size of my car, but that forces Colton to look me in the eye.

"You have nothing to be sorry for," I tell him. I can tell he feels really bad but what else was he supposed to do, Penn wasn't just going to stop.

"I've been doing so good," he whispers. "I was behaving, I'm getting my grades up, I even have a job."

"Colton, this one fight means nothing, you are still doing good, okay? I'm not going to let that jerk make you feel bad about yourself." I press my lips to his. He's tense at first, but then he wraps his arms around me and presses my body to his.

Colton reaches down and the seat falls back so we have more room. I still taste hints of blood as his tongue intertwines with mine, but I don't mind. I take off my jacket, throw it in the backseat, and place my hands back where they were. I'm careful as I touch his face because I don't want to accidentally hurt him, but Colton doesn't seem to be holding back.

He runs his hands up my bare thighs and slows once he reaches my underwear. "Tell me when to stop, Camryn," he breathes between kisses.

"Don't stop," I breathe back, dipping down to kiss his neck. Even though I hate seeing him fight, there's something extremely hot about seeing how protective he is over me and it makes me feel bold. He takes in a sharp breath once I start rocking my hips. His hands start moving again and grip my behind. His cold hands and my burning skin feel heavenly.

My mouth finds his again and I kiss him harder, tugging on his hair. He groans and begins moving, rocking my hips harder against him, making me moan. I always thought I'd feel nervous or scared doing this, but all I feel is my love and want for Colton.

I take in a sharp breath as his grip on me tightens. Colton's lips leave a trail of kisses from my lips to my neck to my chest. His lips on my body plus his hands, plus my rocking my hips creates a sensation I've never felt before and I let out another moan.

"Fuck Camryn," Colton moans before bringing his lips back to mine. I open my eyes to look at him, but notice a car pulling up into the driveway.

"Fuck," I curse, unsure of what to do. We can't get caught doing this in my driveway!

"I know," Colton moans, kissing me again. I quickly get off of him and fall back into the passenger seat. "Whoa what happened?" He asks, completely confused.

"Someone just pulled up behind us," I say quickly, reaching in the backseat to grab my jacket. Colton quickly turns around to see who it is. I try to pull myself together, but my heart is racing a million beats per minute. My face is flushed and my mind is a little foggy.

I fix my dress and get out of the car to see who else is in my driveway. Colton does the same. The car that pulled up behind us is a grey Toyota truck that I don't recognize. The person driving gets out and closes their door and that's when I see that it's my father.

Great.
