Ellie wanted to tag along with Titus and Kohl when she found out they were going into town. They left about twenty minutes ago, and ever since then Alex has been on my tail going on about nonsense. "Wouldn't it be cool if they're mates?"

"Sure." I mumbled nonchalantly as I continued walking.

"Why aren't you excited about this?" I stoped in front of the pack house and sighed. "Because I they aren't I don't want anyone to get hurt. You know how she plays tricks." I said referring to the moon goddess.

Alex furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "What do you mean?"

I ran my hand over my face with a deep sigh. "Look, I love Titus, but you can't tell me our pairing wasn't odd." She looked off into the distance as she thought about my statement.

"A little." She finally admitted.

"Just let them enjoy their childhood okay?" She nodded in agreement.

"You're right." She linked her arm in mine as we walked towards the pack house.

"So how short are we cutting it?" Alex asked as we entered her and Ryan's bathroom. I examined my hair through the mirror and contemplated the length I wanted to go. My hair was a couple inches away from touching my butt and it was beginning to annoy me. I placed my hand directly above my bra strap and said, "Here."

Alex tilted her head to the side as she stared at my hand. "You're cutting off a lot of hair." I shook my head then sat in the seat in front of the mirror. "It's about to be summer in a couple of months. I'm tired of my hair being in the way."

She shrugged then pulled out a brush and hair scissors. "Okay." She began brushing my hair then sectioning it off into sections as she cut my hair.

I groaned as she pulled out the curling iron. "Alex." She chuckled, "Oh come on, just let me have my fun." I shook my head. "Fine, but nothing too crazy." She smiled eagerly then got to work.

I wasn't one for experimenting with different hairstyles. I liked to keep my hair nice and simple.

"Not bad Alex." I said in awe after she finished my hair. It ran in lose spiral curls above my bra strap.

"Glad you like it." I stood and stared down at the hair that used to be attached to my head. "I'll clean that up later. Let's go get something to eat, I'm starving." She grabbed my hand and lead me towards the dining hall.

Before we reached the dining hall we came to a stop as we saw Seth having a conversation with a blonde she wolf. We both gave each other a questioning look. Alex was the first one to go up to them as I awkwardly followed behind.

"Oh hey Seth, who's this?" She asked, as we both glanced between the two. "Oh this is my friend Paisley." Paisley's gaze dropped as the words "friend" left Seth's mouth.

Huh...

"Paisley, this is our Luna Brinn and our Beta's mate Alex." We shook hands after he introduced us. Seth's eyes met mine as he held a look I couldn't quite understand. He was the first to break eye contact as he looked down and ran his hand through his hair.

What was his deal?

The small exchange didn't go unnoticed from Paisley or Alex. "Okay well Brinn and I have food waiting on us so see you two around." Alex interjected after a long and awkward silence.

"Yeah uh bye guys." Seth added as Alex led me to the dining hall.

"Well that was awkward." Alex stated as we sat down with our plates of food. I shrugged as I took a bite of my chicken wrap.

"Why didn't you tell me Seth had the hots for you." Alex's comment caught me off guard as I almost choked on my food. "Because he doesn't."

Alex tilted her head to the side and stared at me. "Bítch..."

"He doesn't." She shook her head. "Whatever you say Brinn." She took a bite of her salad as she eyed me through the corner of her eye.

I was so glad when Titus and the pups walked through, ending this uncomfortable conversation. I turned in my seat as Kohl ran to hug me.

"I got lots of stuff for school!" He said excitedly. "Really? You can show me everything you got once we get home." He nodded with a smile.

A few seconds later his gaze directed to Ellie then back to me. "Can Ellie and I play outside?"

"Please say yes, I need a nap." Alex pleaded. I chuckled the nodded. "Go ahead, but stay in front of the pack house." Alex sighed in relief as they took off.

"Well, my bed is calling me. See you two later." She said as she stood and walked out of the dining hall. I stood and placed a kiss on Titus's lips.

"I like your hair." He said as he grabbed a strand. I smiled as a blush made it's way onto my face.

"I have to get some work done. Will you join me?" I nodded as he led me to his office.

I stared out of the window behind Titus's desk, keeping an eye on the kids as they ran around playing tag. Titus had his back towards me as he typed on his computer. "What are you doing?" I asked as I placed my hand on my stomach, not keeping my eyes off the pups.

"Setting a deal with Terry." The unknown named peeked my interest. "Who's Terry?" I asked.

"One of the humans I do business with." I looked away from the window and stared at him in shock. "You do business with humans? Does he know what you are?"

It was against werewolf code to reveal ourselves to humans. Doing such thing would resolve in severe punishments.

He sighed then swiveled his chair around to face me. "Yes I do business with humans and no they don't know what I am." I sighed in relief. "So why did you do business with humans?" I asked, still confused.

"You see the thing we have?" He asked as he gestured at the pack. "Where do you think the money comes from?" I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know. I guess I never thought about it." I admitted.

He leaned back into his chair and sighed. "I have a few business in New York and Ontario. That's where our assets come from." My eyes went wide with shock. Woah."

He chuckled, "Your Dad and I actually share a business." I crossed my arms over my chest then eyed him suspiciously. "How do you manage the pack and the business?"

He shook his head. "I have help from Ryan and my dad, so it's not too bad." Before I could ask my next question a knock came from the door. "Come in." Titus said as he swiveled his chair back around.

Ryan strolled in with a hand full of folders. "I got all the applications of the wolf's requesting pack leave." He said as he placed the stack on his desk.

"Hey Brinn." He shot me a smile. "Hi Ryan."

Titus scanned through the folders and sighed. "Okay thanks, Ryan."

"Sure thing." He waved goodbye then left the office. "What's the folders for?" I asked as I sat on the edge of his desk. "Wolves that want to leave have to complete an application and I have to approve it. I pretty much approve all of them unless they give me a reason not to."

I grabbed one of the folders and glanced through it. "So why do they leave?" I asked. "Most leave for college or to find their mate. In the end 80% of them end up back in the pack after a few years." I nodded then grabbed the folders. "I can do this."

Titus held a skeptical look on his face. I sat down in one of the chairs in front of his desk then got to work.

"Do not approve anyone under the age of 18. I always get one or two of those trying to rebel against their parents." He shook his head in disgust. I had to bite my lip to stop myself from laughing.

After a few minutes of working in silence Kohl walked in and slumped into the chair next to me. His face was red and his chest rose and fell heavily as he tried to catch his breath. "You okay there champ?" Titus asked.

He nodded, "Yeah." He said through breaths.

"Where's Ellie?" I asked as I pushed his damp hair out of his face. "She went to go take a nap." I nodded then continued going through the folders.

"I'm hungry." Kohl finally said after a couple minutes of silence.

I glanced towards Titus waiting for him to do something. He met my gaze then smiled. Pulling out his phone he dialed a number and brought it to his ear.

A few minutes later Maci walked in with a tray of food. "Hey guys!" She said in her cheery voice. We all smiled at her as she placed the tray on the table next to Titus's desk. "Okay see you guys later." She said before she left.

Kohl jumped up from his seat and walked towards the table. I sighed as he tried to reach for the food for the third time. Smiling, I stood up and placed the chicken tenders and fries on his plate then handed to him.

"Thank you." He smiled then sat back into his seat.

We worked like this for an hour, when I noticed Kohl began to get restless. He started kicking his foot against Titus's desk out of boredom. Titus and I both shared a glance. We were both annoyed by Kohl's behavior but tried to not to show it.

Do something. I demanded through our link.

Titus opened a drawer in his desk and pulled out his iPad. He unlocked it and handed it to Kohl.

"Here." He instantly stopped kicking the desk and reached for the iPad. His eyes lit up as he began to watch YouTube videos. Titus and I both sighed in relief.

We finally had Kohl occupied so we could finish our work. When Titus had fallen asleep on his desk I knew it was time to head home. Kohl had his knees to his chest as fought the sleep slowly approaching. He tried his hardest to focused in on the little boy showcasing his transformer toys on YouTube. I stood and instantly felt weird, but shook it off.

I was about to shake his arm when his words halted me to a stop. "Oh fúck! Just like that Brinn." My eyes went wide with horror. I shot my eyes towards Kohl. "Kohl cover your ears!" He instantly brought his hands to his ears, confusion written all over his face.

I smacked Titus against his head. "Get the héll up!" He snapped his head up with his eyes wide as he took in his surroundings. "What happened?" He asked clearly panicked. I stared down at his pants then at him. He looked down and his face instantly turned red. "Oh fúck. Just like that Brinn?" I said, mimicking his previous words.

He smiled awkwardly. "Sorry."

I shook my head and walked towards Kohl. "You can remove you hands now baby." I said as I placed my hand over Kohl's, pulling them down to his side. "Come in let's go home." I said out loud.

Titus stood, knowing I wasn't taking no for an answer. Especially after the stunt he just pulled. Titus placed Kohl on his hip then grabbed my hand as we walked towards our house.

It was dark outside when we left, most wolves were settling into there homes at this point. Titus unlocked the door then let me enter. Once we were all in he closed the door then locked it. He followed behind me as we walked to Kohl's room.

Titus carefully placed a sleeping Kohl's on his bed. "He should take a bath, he was playing outside." I stated.

Titus shook his head. "Brinn he's tired." He said as he stared down at him. "Well at least change his clothes." He sighed then nodded.

I left the room and went to go take a quick shower. Titus joined me in the shower a few minutes later. He placed a kiss on my lips then began washing my body.

After our shower we turned off the lights and climbed into the bed. Titus pulled me to his chest as usual and I was out within a matter of minutes.

"Ew! What is this?" Titus shouted.

I opened my eyes to stare at the alarm clock and saw that it read 3:12 AM. I groaned placed the pillow over my face as the light flickered on. "Baby you peed in the bed." He said, concerned.

I turned to glare at him. "I haven't peed in the bed since I was eight, but nice try." I buried my head back under the pillow in annoyance. "Oh fúck!!" This time I sat up as panicked filled his voice.

"Oh fúck! Oh fúck! Oh fúck!" He shouted as he ran his hands over his face. "What is wrong with you?!" I snapped.

His eyes met mine, a serious look to his face.

"Your water just broke."
