《The Claim ✔️ *Editing*》17. Training

I was the first one to wake up the next morning. I rose my head and stared up at Titus. He was sound asleep. Light snores filled the room while his chest slowly rose up and down.

I placed a kiss on his forehead then eased off his chest. I stared at his naked body and blushed. My eyes travel slowly down his naked chest all the way down to his-

Wait what am I doing? Get a grip Brinn! I mentally scolded myself.

I went to place the blankets over him when I saw the crimson red blood. Evidence of my lost virtue.

I shook my head then walked towards the bathroom. I was a little sore, but nothing unbearable. I wouldn't dare admit that to Titus. His ego was already too big for his own good.

I turned the knob for the shower, letting the warm water cascade downward. I walked over to the counter to grab a towel when I caught a sight of my appearance.

I pulled my hair behind my left ear and examined the mark. I placed my fingers against the tender flesh. I couldn't feel anything, as if the area was numb.

A slow smile formed on my lips. My wolf took pride in being claimed by her alpha wolf.

A few seconds later Titus walked into the bathroom. Our eyes locked through the mirror. I brought my hand back down to my side. He walked towards me until he was standing behind me.

He grabbed my hips and pulled me closer to his chest. I gasped when I felt his hard member against my back. He placed a kiss on my mark, sending sparks through my body.

I grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the shower.

This should be fun...

After our shower, I changed into an olive green oversized sweater and black ripped jeans. I wore my hair in a messy bun at the top of my head, to showcase my mark. That small action made Titus extremely happy.

I slipped on my white converse then joined Titus in the bedroom. He stood and walked towards me. "I need to head to the training grounds." I nodded.

He pulled me to his chest and placed a swift kiss on my mark. "I'll see you later." He mumbled into my neck. "Okay."

He gave me one last glance before he pulled away and walked out of the room.

Yup, I've got it bad.

I pulled out my phone and sent Alex a text.

I rolled my eyes at the Adele reference.

I grabbed my jacket then headed for the front door.

I placed my hands over my ears to drown out Ellie's cries and screams. This was exactly why I was not having kids.

She was lying on the floor, pounding her fist against the ground and screaming at the top of her lungs. "Can't you just put tape over her mouth?" I asked as I took my hands off my ears.

Alex stopped rubbing Ellie's back then glared at me. "I'm praying for your future pups."

I shrugged, "No need."

She scoffed. "Does Titus know you don't plan on having pups?" She picked Ellie up and places her on her hip.

"I think he has an idea." I started biting my bottom lip. Deep down I knew this would be a fight I didn't look forward to.

"I think you and Titus are on two different pages. You need to have a conversation with him about it." She laid Ellie's head against her chest. Ellie's screams were replaced with light snores.

I sighed. "You're right." Alex carefully placed Ellie in her daybed. She placed the blankets over her small body, then straightened. She silently gestured for me to follow her out.

"So where are we going?" I asked as we left Ellie's room.

"To go help prepare lunch."

"Ugh work." I complained.

She chuckled, "You're going to make one interesting Luna."

I rolled my eyes and proceeded down the hall.

I don't know how, but I managed to peel ten potatoes without getting injured. Today was a good day. I left the kitchen feeling extremely proud of myself.

I was heading for the training fields in search of Titus when I ran into Maci. "Hey."

"Hey where you off to?" She asked.

"Training fields."

Her face lit up. "Oh cool me too. Mind if I tag along?"

I shook my head. "Not at all."

As we began walking down the trail to the field, Maci directed her gaze to my neck. "He marked you." She stated.

I nodded. "Yeah."

Her lips formed into a smile. "I remember when Al marked me." She gushed.

Here we go again... I mentally rolled my eyes.

"It was-"

"Oh, there it is." I pointed to the field, cutting her off.

Titus, Ryan and two other warriors were watching the trainees run laps. "Oh, there's Al!" She pointed to a bald man who had muscles for days. He was standing beside Titus and Ryan, his eyes focusing on the group of wolves.

Oh f*ck! I wouldn't mess with him.

Maci grabbed my arm and pulled me towards them. As if sensing us, all three of them turned around.

Maci runs right into her mate's arms. I turned my attention towards Titus and Ryan, who were staring down at me intently. "So uh-"

Maci grabbed my hand and tugged me towards her mate. Titus's low growl didn't go unnoticed by me or Maci. She released me immediately. "Sorry alpha." She shows him her neck in submission.

He rolled his eyes then walked to my side. Calm down. I said in our mind link.

She was being rough. You're not a rag doll!

I rolled my eyes. I'm fine, don't be mad at her.

He sighed then draped his arm over my shoulder.

Maci moved to her mate's side. "This is my mate Al."

"Luna." I shook his hand, causing Titus to stiffen.

"Alright you are all dismissed for lunch." Ryan announced to the trainees.

The warriors went racing toward the pack house.

Pigs...

I smiled when I saw a familiar face running towards us.

Seth.

He walked towards his sister and gave her a side hug. His eyes lit up when we made eye contact. He released his sister and proceeded towards me.

Titus growled at Seth, stopping him in his tracks. He ran his hand through his hair awkwardly. Titus tightened his grip around my waist.

"Uh well let's go eat." Seth said. He walked towards the pack house with the rest of them following behind.

I went to go follow them when Titus pulled me back. He grabbed me by my arms and pulled me to my chest. I gasped when I looked up. His eyes were gold.

Here we go again...

"Seth is just a friend." I stated.

"I don't care." He replied

"He has a mate already."

He scoffed. "No, he doesn't. If he did, I would know."

"He told me himself." I argued.

Titus shook his head. "Fine, If he has a mate then what's her name?"

I shrugged my shoulders. "He didn't say."

He tossed his head back and began laughing. "Because he doesn't have a mate."

Seth lied? I thought to myself.

Yes baby, Seth lied.

I glared at Titus. Get out of my head!

Not a chance.

I could just put my wall up, but that would just bee too easy.

When we walked into the pack house everyone was chatting and enjoying their food. Lunch is a little different from dinner. Not everyone comes to lunch so it's not as formal as dinner would be. Usually, Titus was too busy to make an appearance so he eats in his office but today was different.

"Everyone I would like to make an announcement." Everyone got quiet. Titus gave me a sideways look, wondering what my next words would be.

"Yes it was I who sliced those delectable potatoes that are entering your esophagus...You're welcome." The whole room burst into laughter.

Titus groaned and ran his hand over his face. "Oh goddess."

He grabbed my arm and pulled me to my seat.
