I was jolted awake as my head met the right side of the door. I sat up then brought my hand to my head in pain. "Ow!" Titus and Ryan began laughing hysterically.
"That's not funny. You almost gave me a concussion."
"Sorry, we're on a bumpy road." Titus explained with a smirk. I rolled my eyes then rested my head on the back of the seat. "How much longer?" I slept majority of the trip, but between the constant pit stops I was growing irritable.
"About five more hours." Ryan said after he checked his phone.
A groan escapes my mouth. "Titus I'm bored!" I whined.
"Read a book." He suggested.
I rolled my eyes then crossed my arms over my chest. I stared out of the window for a good five minutes until I noticed the sound of trumpets blaring throughout the car. "What kind of sorcery....?"
I look down and see my phone laying on the floor. Disconnected from the aux cord. Following the trail of the cord, I scowled when I found it to be connected to no other than Titus's phone. "Hey!"
"What?" Titus asked casually.
"What happened to listening to MY music?"
Ryan scoffed, "You fell asleep."
True... But still!
I grabbed my beats headphones and started up my playlist again. We made another stop at a gas station to use the restroom and get gas. We were back on the road for another hour, leaving us with about four hours to go.
I removed my headphones and leaned in between Titus and Ryan. "So Ryan..."
He turned and stared down at me suspiciously. "Yes?"
"How's my friend Alex?" His face lit up at the sound of his mate's name. "She's good. Ellie's a piece of work."
Ryan and Alex have a four-year-old named Elianna. She's was one of the cutest things I've ever seen. "Aw, I'm sure you two are great parents."
He smiled. "Thanks Brinn. You'll be a great parent one day too." I scoffed and rolled my eyes.
The thought of being a mom freaked me out. I mean there's an actual baby growing inside you. And don't get me started on birth. Oh goddess those poor she-wolfs. "Please, I'm not having pups...ever."

The car came to an abrupt halt. Before I could go flying forward, Titus placed a protective arm in front of me. The car behind us honked then swerve into the next lane. "Titus what the fuck!"
"Watch your language Brinn!" He snapped.
I sunk back into my seat and stayed silent. I didn't like it when Titus was angry at me. It rarely happened, but when it did it was scary. Ryan eyed him through the corner of his eyes as they spoke through their mindlink.
I placed my headphones back on my head as we drove off.

I didn't realize I had fallen asleep until I was woken up by bright lights shining in my face. I rubbed my face then sat up. I looked around and realized that it was dark outside. I stretched out my arms then glanced outside. We were definitely in Titus's pack.
I stepped out of the car then shook out my legs. Looking around, I noticed no one was around.
These assholes left me here by myself.
I jumped at the sound of footsteps on the gravel. I instantly got in a defensive stance. I had no fighting skill whatsoever, but I had no problem socking someone in the eye then taking off down the road. "Who's there?"
"Calm yourself, it's just me." Titus walked behind the car holding my bags. I released a shaky breath I didn't know I was holding.
"Who's house is this?" I asked, pointing to the house we were standing in front of. It was a nice two story house with white paneling and grey stone.
"It's mine."
I furrowed my brows. "When did you move out of the pack house?"
He gestures for me to follow him inside while we talked. "A few months ago."
I nodded. "Why?"
We entered the house after he unlocked the door. "I wanted my mate and I to have our own space." He said as he shrugged his shoulders.
"Okaaaay. So why am I here?"
He tensed at my question. "You're my responsibility so you're staying with me." He said as we walked up the stairs.
I shrugged my shoulders. "Okay."
He leads us into a room with a queen-sized bed and light grey walls. He placed my bags against the wall then looks at his watch and faces me. "We have to go to the pack house for dinner. Everyone's expecting us."

"Did you say food?"
He shook his head and chuckled lightly. "Come on."
He leads us out of the house and we started our walk to the pack house. On the walk to the pack house, I caught him sneaking glances at me. I stare up at him in confusion. "What?"
He shook his head. "Nothing, just glad you're here."
I rolled my eyes. "Alphas."
When we entered the pack house I was hit with the smell of food. I raced towards the Dining hall, not bothering to wait for Titus. Everyone smiled at my arrival. I raced towards Zander and his mate, Rachel. Titus took feature from the both of his parents. Rachel had long beautiful brown curly hair and dark brown eyes. She had striking Latina features and overall looked like someone out of a magazine. Zander has a woodsy look to him, with his hazel eyes and dirty blonde hair.
I wrapped my arms around the two of them. "Hey guys."
This was my second home. I was comfortable with everyone here.
Rachel placed a kiss on my temple. "Hello sweetheart."
I released them and took a step back. "You're getting so tall kiddo." I glared at Zander. He and I both know I stopped growing a long time ago. Titus took his seat at the head of the table.
"Brinn!" I snapped my head towards the door as Alex came racing towards me. I wrapped my arms around her in a tight hug.
She smiled then pulled me to sit down next to her. Rachel placed a plate of food in front of me with a smile. "Thank you."
"You're welcome sweetheart."
Titus sat at the head of the table. To his left was Ryan then Alex and I. The chair to his right was reserved for his Luna. It was an unspoken rule that no one was allowed to sit there. If anyone even dared to try and sit in that spot, there would be consequences. I thought it was cute how he guarded her spot. I hope the moon goddess blesses him soon, and he would find his mate.
After dinner, I waited for Titus to finish up his conversations with some of the warriors, so we could go to the house. I was becoming annoyed waiting for him. If my body didn't reach that pillow in the next ten minutes, I was going to pass out on this floor.
Alex came around the corner holding a sleeping Ellie on her hip. I placed a kiss on Ellie's forehead. "She's so precious."
Alex pulled me into a side hug. "Night." She walks down the hall to her and Ryan's bedroom.
Ryan and Alex were both twenty-one. After we met, Alex and I became extremely close. She's the older sister I've always wanted.
I look down at my watch and realized that five minutes had flown by. I let out a huff of breath. I was getting annoyed.
I could just walk into his office and demand that he take me to the house now. But that would probably not end well.
Screw it.
Before I could stop myself, my feet were moving slowly towards his office door. I raised my fist to knock when the door flew open. I took a step back and stared up at the huge warrior in front of me. Titus was bigger but I was used to Titus. This guy just looked downright intimidating. "Hello L-Brinn."
I furrow my brows at him. What the h*ll was he about to call me? "Uh...hi."
The warriors all began piling out of the room, leaving to return to their homes. When I walk into Titus's office he was scribbling something down on a piece of paper. "Hey T I'm really tired so I'll just get one of the warriors to take me home. Since you're busy...and I'm tired"
He snapped his gaze toward me. "No."
I sighed. "Okay well, hurry up then."
He growled at my demand.
Okay maybe bossing him around wasn't a good idea.
"Please." He sighed then stood up from his desk. He turned off his lamp then walked towards me. He grabbed my hand and lead me out of the pack house.
