You know, you should really calm down on those jelly shots." I shout into Emma's ear as she laughs.

"You silly bean, these sweet potatoes won't hurt me." She coos as she strokes a jelly shot.

They're silent killers, I know that from experience, and Emma is going to regret this in the morning.

I take another sip of my vodka and lemonade, my first one of the night. I'm trying to take it slow so that if Emma need help, I'm not completely hammered.

We've been here for a total of an hour and a half but it feels like we've been here for five hours.

Just like gym class.

I scan the crowd again, hoping I can find a familiar face and get help with Emma.

I'm going to need it.

After Axel complimented my outfit, tweedle dee and tweedle dum came round and grabbed both of his arms, dragging him off.

Yes they were girls but it annoyed me, so I'm going to stick with those nicknames.

I'm so petty.

I spot Rob over by the DJ area and catch his eye. Motioning my hand to come over, he nods and makes his way through the crowd.

Rob's about halfway through the crowd when he suddenly trips and falls.

Onto his face.

I begin laughing and Emma turns round from the bar. "What?" She asks.

I'm laughing to hard to speak so I just point in Rob's direction. Emma gazes over and sees Rob's bright red face pop up from the floor.

She and I carry on laughing as Rob reaches us.

"So, how are you girls doing?" He asks smoothly.

I smooth out my face and wipe any trace of humour off of it. "Great, especially because we just saw you face plant." I say, bursting out in giggles all over again.

"Ugh, worth a try." He groans as he sits by the table we're all at. He rests his forehead against the table and shuts his eyes in embarrassment.

"Why aren't you drunk?" I ask, fully expecting Rob to be at the level Emma is at.

"I'm not some alcoholic, Cupcake." He smiles, taking his head off of the table. "I'm designated driver."

"Oh, makes sense." I nod, smiling.

"Well, somebody's going to need to get her back." Rob nods to three feet away where Emma's dancing.

"Since when did we become parents to her?" I laugh.

••••

Rob and I sit round the table for another half an hour until I stand up and go to head to get another drink.

"Remember the jelly shots!" Emma shouts as I walk away.

"It's like you want to die." I call back laughing.

I walk through the crowd of tightly packed bodies when a hand wraps round my arm.

"You look sexy tonight." I rough voice shouts.

His hand digs into my arm harshly, his hair is long and greasy, covering half of his face. He looks no where near the age of the rest of the party.

"And you look like you should fuck off." I shout back, shrugging off the random guys hand.

"We got a problem here?" A deep, familiar, voice says.

The creep that has his hand round my arm quickly lets me go, his eyes widening in fear. Scurrying off, he disappears into the crowd.

I whip round, my eyes met with bright blue ones penetrating right through me.

"Axel, hey." I say.

Damn I'm smooth.

"Hey, you here for a drink?" He asks, standing in front of the bar.

"Yeah, need to reach Emma's level to at least be able to tolerate her." I shrug, letting out a quiet laugh that he probably can't hear.

He smiles and wraps an arm round my waist. Quickly pulling me in front of him, his body is pressed to my back and I'm now facing the bar.

"Can't let any other creeps get any ideas." He mumbles in explanation.

Axel keeps his arm round my waist as his head rests on top of my own, due to our extreme height difference. His body is pressed firmly to my own, sending sparks across my body.

Once I get my drink, I take a risk, and slowly turn around to face him.

Our faces our inches apart and our noses are just about to touch.

Axel smirks and grabs both of my hands in his.

Goodbye ovaries.

"Dance with me?" He asks, his voice husky.

Since we're so close to each other, he doesn't need to shout.

I don't trust my voice to answer his question so instead I just nod, leaning back a bit so that our mouths don't touch.

He grins at my response and immediately begins leading me through the crowd.

Girls try to grab his arms to stop him from moving. One even goes as far as to grab his leg.

Axel literally shakes his leg so that the girl will let go. Once she does, he gives her a sarcastic smile and begins walking again, dragging me with him.

We reach the dance floor as Kesha's Tik Tok comes on. We both shrug and follow the crowd example of dancing even more wildly.

Due to my major being dance, I'm weirdly automatically at ease dancing in the middle of the room.

I close my eyes and run a hand through my hair, letting all of my worries go.

A muscly arm suddenly wraps round my waist again and my eyes fly open.

Axel dances in sync with me, obviously used to the party standard of dance.

He placed both hands on my waist as I wrap my arms round his neck. We're smiling at each other as a group of girls in the corner of my eyes catch my attention.

They're staring at Axel, basically drooling over him. I suddenly feel very self-conscience of my dancing.

I need to get my shit together.

Axel notices the sudden difference in me and turns round to see the girls.

He leans into my ear and whispers, "Ignore them, you're so much better than them."

I will my confidence back up and lean into his ear. Our cheeks brush as our heads rest against each other. "Oh yeah?" I ask, my voice sounding husky to my own ears.

"Yeah," He says, as he pulls back his face from my neck to look me in the eye. "In fact, I'll show you how much better you are."

"Huh?"

"No other girl would make me do this, that puts you way above them." He says, nodding his head to where the girls are.

The music ponds through my veins, my heart in sync with it. "What do you me-"

I'm cut off by Axels lips on my own.

His lips are soft and demanding. Axel's arms completely wrap round my waist, slightly lifting me off the ground.

Pure exhilaration runs through my veins. The gasoline that's been lying in my veins seem to have been set of fire, my whole body burning.

I end up smiling, happiness crashing in on me like a tilde wave.

Axel's clearly not finished, however, and nibbles on my bottom lip and soothes it over with his tongue before breaking away.

"Those girls couldn't kiss as phenomenally as that." He whispers as he dips his head to my neck and places a series of gentle kisses where my neck and shoulder meet.

I drag my hands down to his shoulder and dig my nails into his skin in delight.

Jesus, we're just kissing and I'm loosing all common sense.

The fire has consumed my whole body and Axel seems to have had the match.

Leaning back, I let out a breath. "Axel."

"Hmmm." He asks, still staring at my face.

At this point, we're just standing still in the middle of the dance floor. Everyone's dancing around us, but somehow we seem to have our own bubble.

"I'm pretty sure everyone just watched that."

"Let them" Axel shrugs as he begins moving to the beat. "Let's just have a fun night."

"Still not getting laid tonight." I point out, wanting to make sure Axel's on the same page as me.

"We'll see, Skylar."

••••

Axel and I dance for about another half an hour before my feet wear out in my high heels.

Limping back over to the bar, I sit down and look around.

Axel arrives not a minute later, his cheeks flushed and his smile beaming.

"Hey, you disappeared." He frowns as he comes to stand in front of me.

"My feet were about to break." I huff, crossing my legs.

Axel then smirks and places a hand on my lower thigh, his hand igniting heat wherever he touched.

"Aw, poor Sky-Sky." He laughs. "If your feet hurt why did you even wear them in the first place?"

"Because I didn't know they were going to hurt, idiot." I say, standing up and flicking him on the forehead.

"You shou-" Axles cut off by an almighty yowl from the crowd.

Like animals, the football team suddenly come through the crowd and grab onto Axel. Dragging him by the shoulders, into the crowd.

Axel disappears before I can even mutter so much as a goodbye. His football team, including him, disappearing into the crowd.

I stand in shock for a moment before realising I look like an idiot.

Leaving the bar area, I move past the crowd of dancers and spot Rob looking as bored as ever.

He spits me at the same time and walks over to me.

"There's no hot guys here that are gay!" He shouts in distress.

I laugh and pat him on the shoulder.

"I think it's time to go home."

••••

Rob watching Axel and Skylar kiss like:

Nah, he was probably pushing people out of the way to see :)
