*Beep beep beep beep*
Why do good people get punished?
Reaching over to my wooden nightstand, I blindly hit against it until I come across the torturous device that is my alarm clock.
I grumble and turn it off, rolling onto the other side of my bed. I remind myself that I've got a class to go to, but the darkness of sleep seems to inviting.
Seven am classes are for try-hards anyway.
Before I know it, my eyes are slipping shut and any thoughts of classes get carried away by dreams.
••••
"Wake up, for god sake." A deep voice commands me.
Rob.
My eyes slowly open, I groan at the brightness and bring the covers up to my face.
"Okay, I give up. You try." Rob says, I hear his footsteps slowly walking away.
I hear someone grunt and step closer. I stay under the covers, keeping my eyes shut.
Don't leave me, sweet, blissful sleep.
Suddenly I feel a hot breath on my ear, whoever is beside me must be crouching by my bed.
Before I can even react, a husky voice begins talking. "The first time I imagined seeing you in bed was not like this, funnily enough."
I immediately begin to blush and sit up straight in bed, letting the covers fall and expose my face.
"There she is!" Rob exclaims, crossing his arms over his chest.
I shamefully look to my side to see Axel grinning like a cheshire cat beside me. "Good morning." He simply says, nodding his head.
I turn to Rob, my face still blood red. "Really?" I ask him, desperation in my tone.
"C'mon Cupcake, it's not that bad." He reassures me, smirking at me and Axel.
"Cute pyjamas by the way." Axel winks.
Oh God no.
I look down to see that I've absentmindedly kicked the covers away from me so that they only one leg.
And just to add to my joyous morning, I see that both boys can also see my very short shorts.
"You are a dickhead, you are." I say as I point at Axel, before running into the bathroom.
I'm followed by the sound of both boy's laughter.
••••
I listen to the murmur of voices as I push open the door into my second lecture of the day.
Totally did not miss my first one.
On Wednesdays, I have three lectures all about an hour apart. It makes no sense leaving and going back to my dorm, just come back an hour later.

So that means, I have to spend the whole day here.
I think Satan planned my timetable.
My plan for college is to graduate with a Master of Fine Arts in dance, including choreography.
I'm currently concentrating on dance studies theories and it's so interesting.
Said no college student ever.
The thing is, I don't care about the technicalities of dance. I just want to dance. I don't care about how the body works or theories or the benefits of working out.
I just want to dance.
I eventually I want to get into a group, but right now I just don't have the time.
I'm lying, but no-one's gonna know that.
There's a dance group here on campus, but I'm too scared to try it out. Plus, I'm a senior so it's a bit late.
I'm brought out of my thoughts as I look around the room.
It's a basic classroom, the only difference is the seats. My teacher, Miss Poppy, decided that to keep things interesting, she should always change the way the seats are laid out.
There's lots of awkward eye contact in this class....
Today they're in a diamond shape in the centre of the room, the desks pushed against the walls.
I set my sights on Emma, my best friend, and make my way over to her.
"Where the fuck have you been?" She asks, throwing her hands in the air.
I sit down in the seat beside her before speaking. "Good morning to you to." I laugh, before answering her question. "What do you mean?"
"You've been MIA for the the last three days!" She exclaims.
I look back at her face, her eyes shimmering with curiosity. "No I haven't!" I exclaim. Lie.
"Yes you have! I last saw you at the football match when you were on a suicide mission to talk to Axel McSmith and then after that it's as though you've disappeared off the face of the earth..."
"Ohh, yeah, you're right." Looking at the board, trying to avoid Emma's penetrating stare.
"So?! Tell me about it!" She laughs with disbelief.
"Shesh, calm down woman!" I nudge her shoulder with my own before turning serious. "I met up with Axel at his apartment. He agreed to it, by the way. We made some god-awful omelettes and we haven't met up since. Oh! And I got a roommate, he's called Rob."
Why did my week suddenly revolve around two boys?
Emma's jaw looks as though it's about to hit the floor when I blurt all of this out. But, before she can even speak, Miss Poppy walks in.

Saving me from Emma's wrath.
••••
"Okay, I swear, I think I might die." Emma groans, resting her head on the booth behind her.
After our awful theories class, Emma and I made an improv decision to get coffee. For lunch.
There's water in iced-coffee anyway, that's good enough.
"It's you who took the class." I laugh, pointing at her.
Emma's major is in interior design. But because she's so super smart and completed a class early she had to pick up another random class. So she chose one of mine.
Best friend goals right there everyone.
"Yeah, because you said the course is fun! This is not fun. And is taught by someone who's called Miss Poopy." She finishes her rant with a huff, crossing her arms over her chest.
"It's Miss Poppy." I exaggerate. "Anyway, it is fun. This is what I need to do to get my degree. And then I can dance and dance and dance."
"So you like dancing then?" Emma teases.
I roll my eyes whilst taking a sip out of my iced coffee.
The drink of the gods.
"So you and Axel, huh?" Emma questions again.
"We're on this again? We made some bad omelettes, he even had a hook-up answer the door before that. But I haven't seen him since." I shrug.
Why do I feel like smiling?
"Ooo, sounds dangerous to me. I like you two together though, I ship it."
"Ship it?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.
"Uh hu." Emma nods.
"We're not in elementary anymore." I smile and shake my head.
"Might as well be, you're grinning like a seven year old who's just been handed a lollypop." She testifies.
"Am not."
"Sure." She says, dragging out the 'e' in disbelief.
I was about to come back with some sort of sarcastic remark when my phone buzzes.
I grab it out of my bag and open the message up.
Please come to the apartment.
Usually Rob's messages include a load of emoji's and exclamation marks, so when this message comes though I'm immediately worried.
Why? Is everything okay?
Just be quick.
••••
I slam open the door to my dorm room, Emma following close behind me.
"Thank god you're here." Rob exclaims, grabbing my hand and dragging me onto my bed.
I look up to see Emma still standing by the door awkwardly.
"Why did I have to come so quick?" I ask, still scared.
"Because he was driving me crazy!!" Rob exclaim, pointing at the bathroom door.
Suddenly the door opens and Axel walks out.
Axel. Walks out.
"You have a lot of crap in there." He points at me before sitting on Rob's bed, opposite my own where Rob and I are sitting.
"Who's the girl?" Rob asks before I can reply to Axel.
"That girl, is Emma." I say, standing up from my bed and going to stand beside her. "She's my best friend."
"Nice, I'm Rob, Skylar's roommate." Rob smiles, going in for a hug.
Emma looks shocked at the sudden display of affection but returns it nonetheless.
Once Rob takes a step back, Axel meets Emma's eye and waves.
"Axel." He nods.
Wow, how social.
"Okay, good! Now," Rob begins, turning round and looking me straight in the eye. "We're having a sleepover tonight."
"What? Why?" I ask.
"Because I didn't see Axel for our usual meet up today so we're doing it tonight."
I'm gonna ignore the meet up part, I don't even want to know.
"So you want me out of the dorm?" I ask.
"No, I want you and Emma to join us!" Robs proposed, his smile reaching his eyes.
I slowly look over at Emma who's laughing at Rob's enthusiasm.
"I'm up for it." She shrugs.
"C'mon, Skylar." Axel speaks up, his eyes challenging.
"Fine, but I'm not drinking." I say.
"Uh you're such a party pooper." Axel frowns.
"And you're such a five year old." I shoot back, rolling my eyes.
Emma laughs at my glare which is pointed to Axel. Rob spots my glare and clears his throat, trying to break the silence.
"Let's get this party started!" He cheers.
••••
I imagine Rob to be like this when everyone agrees to the sleepover:
Anywayyy, what's our thoughts on this chapter? How do we think the sleepover is going to go?
I love being an author right now because I can decide if it's going to go well of not ;)
Please leave a comment and a vote if you enjoyed, it really means a lot :)
Much love,

The Kiss of Two Moons
The last year is upon us. The world is ending, but you already knew that; everyone does. Spring has come, and the flowers have bloomed here in this small town with no name. Thousands of different colours now paint the field that had been coloured by frost alone just yesterday. The townsfolk have gathered by the field to celebrate the beginning of the last spring with so many smiling faces. Tears too. I can’t help but wonder whether the flowers will bloom again before the sky falls upon us. Others must be thinking the same. There are moments when the smiles fade and their eyes glaze over as they realize just how near to the end we are. They forget it again in moments. They make themselves forget. The children aren’t like that, though. They don’t seem to understand, or they’ve come to accept it in a way that their parents just can’t manage to. This one boy actually asked me why I was sad. I had to wonder whether he was actually aware that the world is ending, but it seemed wrong to mention it. I ended up just telling him that I was waiting for someone, and he scampered off, wearing a silly smile. I can’t help but feel jealous of him. The beginning of next spring; the day that the world ends. It seems so far away, yet so close. Wherever you are now, I have to ask, how are you spending your last spring? Did you get to see the flowers bloom? Did you smile? Did you cry?
