Author's pov:

Diya woke up at 7am. Turning to her right she saw her husband...

He is sleeping on his back, with hands under his head. He looked so calm while sleeping.

After admiring the view for some time, she then made her side of the bed and went to get ready for the day.

She's going to wear a saree today. So she took that and other essentials to the bathroom.

After a shower, diya wore her pink color floral saree with a matching blouse.

For jewelry she wore a simple earrings, two bangles on each hand. She just wore her mangalsutra on my neck.

For makeup, she applied a nude lipstick also some eyeliner.

She also did a simple hairstyle.

She planned to arrange her things in the closet later. It will be easy for her to use.

Going back into the bedroom she saw Arjun still sleeping, without disturbing him she placed her things back.

There is big mirror near the bedroom door, she adjusted her saree looking at the mirror.

Suddenly, she realized something

oh no

She forgot to apply sindoor. But she didn't have any. She was going to ask mom.

But something caught her eye on the tv cabinet. She went near the cabinet to look, it's a small gold Color box, there was a note under it. It said from mom.

She opened the box, it's full of sindoor.

Mom you are my savior. She thought.

She took some and applied it on my forehead.

When she went downstairs, the living room is full of relatives. They were having their morning tea. She gave a smile and said good morning to a few.

She asked for mom to someone, they said she is in the kitchen.

She then went to the kitchen, mom is instructing someone about breakfast menu.

She called "mom". Mom turned to look at her and said " Diya, Good Morning, why did you woke up early dear. You went to bed so late".

" Good Morning, it's okay mom. I always wake up early, so no problem". Said diya

Mom smiled and said " come here Diya, let me introduce you to our staffs".

She introduced diya to some of their staffs.

Kamala aunty is 45 yr old woman. She is a cook, talked so sweetly and gave her blessings for her marriage life.

She got a instant liking towards her.

Then, mom and diya had some tea while talking about their family and everyone's routine.

" Arjun usually wakes up early, he goes to our home gym or jogging".

That's why he is so fit. Thought diya.

" Already getting information about your husband ah..." said Nikhil coming to the garden where both of them were having tea.

Diya's eyes widened, she said " no bhai, it's not like that".

He laughed her and said " I am just kidding Bhabhi".

Mom asked Nikhil in a stern voice " Nikhil, did you brush your teeth before coming here".

He said " of course mom, look " showing his teeth.

Mom poured his tea and gave him.

Nikhil gave diya a sheepish smile before starting to drink his tea.

Both of them laughed his behavior.

After sometime, Diya helped mom in preparing the breakfast.

Most of the relatives are going back to their places after breakfast.

After placing everything on the dining table

Mom said " Diya go call Arjun for breakfast".

Back in the bedroom Arjun woke up after a good sleep.

He went to the bathroom for a shower, entering in smell of vanilla mixed with flowers hit his nose.

He then realized, he has wife and who is going to share his room from now on. He sighed thinking that

But he liked this smell. He then did his routine and got dressed.

Before going downstairs he decided to check some work mails in his phone.

He said come in when he heard a knock. He didn't look up to see who that was.

Diya entered the room knocking, she saw arjun doing something on his phone. So clearing her throat a little she said " Mom called you for breakfast". He said " okay " without even looking at her face.

She was a little disappointed, that arjun didn't even look her

After breakfast, the guests started to leave.

Arjun, too went to the home office to do some work.

They decided not to have a reception. Because arjun said that he has some important meetings back to back and he has no time for reception.

His mom and dad tried to convince him but it didn't work.

For lunch arjun's mom asked her to make some sweet as a ritual.

So diya decided to make Kheer. After making it she placed the bowl on the dining table with the other dishes.

Every one assembled for lunch I.e arjun his mom and dad, Nikhil, they had little talks in between. Diya only answered when some one asked a question, but she listened to what everyone were talking.

When it's time for the dessert, diya was super nervous because this is the first time someone else is going to taste her cooking. It's always only her.

After tasting the kheer mom and dad praised her saying, It was so good and gifted her a Golden necklace which is also a part of the ritual.

Nikhil too said " This taste very yum Bhabhi".

Diya said thank you everyone, but she was expecting some compliments from arjun. But he just kept eating.

When mom gave him a look, he just said " It's good" without even looking at her.

It hurt diya but she didn't show it. Nikhil rolled his eyes at arjun's behavior.

Later, when Diya and arjun's mom had a talk. She said " Diya give him some time to adjust beta. Arjun is mostly very closed off and doesn't express his emotion or feelings" She said with a apologetic smile to diya.

Diya with a half smile said " okay mom, you don't worry".

Arjun came to their room very late after doing his work.

Diya slept early due to tiredness.
