"I think you didn't get what I said. I made one each for everyone of this family which makes them eight!!"

Flashback continues

"Eight??" Alex whispered barely. He couldn't even believe what he just heard.

"But Sarah never mentioned this being with her??" Alex asked Andre.

"Because the pendant I made for her was lost while Katherine died in the attack by the rivalry gang" Andre let out a sigh.

"What actually happened then??" Alex questioned again as that incident was never mentioned again.

"Russians happened" Andre is trying hard not to get affected by the trauma he faced back then due to his wife's death "Russians turned out to be our rivals due to this incident"

"What do you mean by turned out?? We were friends??" Alex asked confused.

"My father and John's grandfather David are very close friends that they wanted me to get married to their daughter and make our alliance stronger"

"Katherine is John's aunt??"

"Not really but yes. Katherine happens to be the adopted daughter of David, but he treated her like his own. John's father, Daniel, and Katherine were best friends too"

"But why don't we know any of this??"

"Because I didn't want you guys to know anything related to that night or about that dark past"

"So what happened back then??"

Andre sighed heavily and continued speaking.

"We got married and everything was perfect. We had 4 boys and she named her younger son David in memory of her father as he died a year before Damon and David's birth. And Daniel took over the Russian Mafia. I am more than happy to have all my family complete. This happened 20 years ago when your parents died. Everyone thought it was an accident, but we got information that they were killed by Russians"

Alex's anger rose after hearing about his parents. He always thought that his parents died in an accident but were not killed. He fisted his hands controlling his increasing rage.

Andre observed Alex and squeezed his fist due to which Alex took deep breathes to remain calm.

"But we didn't believe it as we were well aware that other gangs have been trying to break our alliance and create a drift. So we let it slide and Katherine became pregnant again a few months after the accident. And months later she gave birth to Sarah"

Andre's eyes filled with tears reminiscing that moment.

"I should say, I never felt that until I held her in my arms. Not even when I held all 7 of you. I never thought I will be lucky enough to be blessed with a girl. But there she is, so tiny and beautiful holding my finger with her tiny hand. And the smile she gave me after seeing me provided warmth to this cold man's heart."

Andre wiped his tears quickly even before Alex could notice them.

"I don't think you remember this, but you know what you said after seeing her??"

"I knew her before??" Alex asked surprised and then flashes of him holding a baby came into his mind.

"Yes. All this happened just a day before everything changed in our lives. You came to the hospital along with the others to see Sarah. I still remember that moment as if it happened yesterday" Andre chuckled at the memory.

"Everyone saw her and you were not ready to hold her as you were afraid that you might hurt her. She started crying and every one of us tried to calm her down by taking her into our arms. Do you know who made her calm in a second??" Alex shook his head.

"You!! You couldn't hold back yourself hearing her cry and took her into your arms from me. As you took her into your arms, she stopped crying and started to calm down as you started cooing her. The words that escaped from your mouth after the smile she gave you made me hesitant for a while"

"What did I say??" Alex asked curiously as to what he said that even his Godfather hesitated.

"You said and I quote "MINE!! She will be my Queen when I become the King, Padre" Pride was clear in Andre's eyes for his eldest son. "I laughed at your words as I thought that would not happen, but fate has some other ideas I guess. You indeed made her your Queen"

"Maybe this was the reason why I felt so connected to her the very moment I saw her first time months ago. And if there is someone who can be my Queen then it's her.No one else can be what she is to me" Alex said.

"I know, but I really think you should move on. As much as I know Sarah even she will be wanting the same. You should-"Alex cut him off.

"What happened next, padre?? Why can't I remember any of this??"

"The next day while we were returning back from the hospital, Russians attacked us. But the number of men we have was very less, so all I could do is keep you guys safe and Katherine sacrificed herself so that I could get time to take Sarah to a safe place. And the last wish she asked me is to keep Sarah far away from this and I did the same and only then I have lost her pendant" Andre let the tears flow this time.

Alex reached him and took him in his arms. Andre broke down completely. He couldn't take it anymore.

"Sarah, she was the only one who kept the demons in me not to overtake my senses. She is my princess, my little princess. What would I do now without her??"

"Calm down padre. Please calm down" Alex patted his back to calm down and after some time Andre controlled himself soon after.

"And then you all were so traumatized by that incident that I was forced to say that Katherine died in the car accident while you were saved" Saying that Andre stood up abruptly.

"I think I should leave now" Andre spoke coldly which sent a shiver down Alex's spine. Alex knew that look in his eyes. He became the cold-hearted ruthless person who can make you weak in your knees just by his glare.

Alex was alone in this office deep down in his thoughts. He moved out of the room and reached his room and got ready to leave for Poland. He is missing his son and Sarah badly and he wanted to share this new revelation with her as soon as possible.

It was late night by the time he reached Poland, so he entered inside the house silently with the spare key he had. As soon as he opened the bedroom door, he was met with the most adorable scene he has ever seen.

His son is sleeping on his mother's chest peacefully while Sarah slept in the sitting position itself. She might have slept while breastfeeding him. Alex always felt guilty that he couldn't be there for her and share their son's responsibilities.

No matter what Sarah says that she was fine with doing all that alone, Alex never felt at peace. He silently closed the door behind and took his son in his arms without disturbing their sleep. He kissed his son on the forehead and laid him down on the bed.

Now he reached Sarah and adjusted her properly so that she would be comfortable. He changed himself into sweatpants and laid down beside Sarah and laid her head on his chest and pulled her into him.

He carefully took his son and placed him on the other side of his chest. He closed his eyes with a smile on his face. This moment brought him peace. Soon, sleep took over him.

As Sun rays are falling into the room making their way, Sarah squeezed her eyes shut. Then she felt strong arms around her waist and she doesn't need to open her eyes to know in whose embrace she is in.

But what surprised her the most is when and why Alex came here without informing her beforehand. She opened her eyes, she saw her son cuddling with Alex and sleeping on his chest while Alex has held him protectively.

She tried to move slowly not to wake them up as she understood that Alex is sleeping peacefully and soundly. She doesn't want to wake him at all. She loosened his grip and kissed her son's forehead and pecked Alex and moved out of the room.

She freshened up in another room and started making breakfast for them and a pair of strong hands encircled her waist and hugged her from behind. She leaned into his touch and rest her head on his chest.

"You didn't wake me up??"

"I didn't want to. And you were looking so cute with Ric cuddling on your chest" Sarah spoke. "Why are you here?? Aren't you supposed to be in Rome??"

"Can't I come and meet my wife and son whenever I want to??" Alex shows his fake hurt eyes.

"You can, but you know what I mean. Did you get-" They were cut off by the cry of a baby.

They both rushed out of the kitchen to the bedroom where their son is moving on the bed crying searching for something. When he saw his mother and father, he immediately stopped crying and gave a huge smile.

Alex and Sarah's hearts melted looking at his smile. They couldn't take their eyes off the beautiful baby they have made out of their love.

Alex took Ric into his arms and Ric was clearly happy to be in his father's arms.

"You know, I thought he wouldn't recognize you as you will not be here every time with him. So I thought of making him recognize you by showing your picture and I think I did a good job in that" Sarah said lying her head on Alex's shoulder looking at Ric.

"Of course you did" Alex said side hugging her feeling complete.
