"Bash??"

She stood there like her world froze. To be honest it did froze. When she realised that he is staring at her intently, the only thought that ran through her mind was to get away from here. And that's what she did. She left the restaurant not caring about the date.

Luckily she found a cab soon enough, she gave her address and she can't help but keep looking behind and soon the restaurant faded away from her vision. What she didn't know is that Sebastian saw her and recognised her to be familiar. When she left away hurriedly, his suspicion turned out to be true and he followed her closely.

As he was following he wondered how this could be true?? Sarah is alive?? He knew the moment he saw her that she was Sarah, the one he treated like his sister and best friend. But how is she alive when they saw the warehouse in flames. Several questions clouded his mind and the only one who can answer all those questions is her. Sarah!!

Sarah rushed into her apartment as soon as she left the cab after paying him. She banged on the door frantically. Soon Rose opened the door and stood shocked.

"What are you doing here??" Sarah ignored her question and moved past her into the bedroom to find her son playing with his new car toy. She ran to him and hugged him tight as her emotions fled back.

"I didn't expect you to bring another one home instead of your date??" Rose asked standing in the doorway crossing her arms across her chest. Sarah heart started beating fast at her words. He is here!!!

She controlled herself and decided to face this. She took deep breathes to calm herself down. She stood and turned to meet him. Her brother/bestfriend.

"Where is he??" She asked Rose.

"In the living room. Is everything alright??" Rose asked concerned.

"I am. You just stay here and just don't come out whatever happens and don't let Ric too." Sarah instructed and Rose nodded reluctantly.

Sarah walked slowly into the living room to see Bash sitting in the couch. She coldly walked towards him.

"How can I help you??" Sarah asked and Bash looked towards her taking in her features as to how much she changed. Her hair is short and dyed. She is using contacts and her face is not chubby but a V shaped one.

"You changed a lot" He said still taking in her features.

"Excuse me?? Do I know you!?" Sarah asked crossing her arms.

Bash let out a humorous chuckle."Just because you cut your hair short and dye it doesn't mean you can hide from us. Sarah!!" He emphasized her name.

He knew!! She thought but she can't let her guard down.

"I don't know about whom you are speaking and I am not Sarah. My name is Katherine" She spoke coldly.

"So you changed your name too. To your mother's. Why!? Why have you been hiding when we all thought you died in that blast??" He spoke this time emotional.

"I am so sorry for your loss. But I think you are highly mistaken and taken me for another person" She spoke.

His anger rose.He can't take this anymore.What Sarah didn't know is that she took their calmness and warmth along with her. All of them were no longer same. They became ruthless once again. Even among themselves they were not normal. It's as if she took their everything away.

"ENOUGH!!" He said pulling out his gun and aiming at her. "ENOUGH OF YOUR BULLSHIT SARAH!! JUST SPEAK THE FUCKING TRUTH!!!" He roared in anger and his voice echoed throughout her apartment.

"Mammaa!!" She saw her son holding on to her leg.No!! He shouldn't be here. Bash can't know this. He can't know about her son. She bent down to her level to see him annoyed. He was always annoyed when someone shouts or talks loudly.

"Why is he shouting??" He complained in his sweet voice.

Sarah glared at Bash who looked confused still aiming his gun. "Put it down!!" She hissed hugging her son with his back to Bash. Bash didn't even budge nor put his gun down.

She can't let her son know about guns and all. She wanted him to be a normal child. "Bash!!" Bash's eyes softened. "I said put it down!!" She warned and he immediately put his gun back into his holster.

"Ric??" She said softly and he nodded. "Can you go inside and stay with Aunt Rose for a while and I will come to you after talking to this uncle."

He slowly nodded his head and turned to see Bash. Bash facial expressions changed as soon as he saw the small boy.

"Who is he?!"Ric asked.

"He is your uncle. Uncle Bash!!" She said and Ric approached Bash. He tugged on to Bash's pants asking him to bend. Bash did so.

"Mamma says you are my uncle. So do you know my Dada??" Sarah felt a pang in her heart. No matter how much she showered her love on him, Ric always asked about his Dada.

Even before Bash could say anything Sarah spoke. "Ric, Go inside and I will be there in a while" Ric reluctantly nodded and went inside.

"He is fratello's son. Isn't he??" Bash asked.

"No!! He is my son!!" Sarah tried to speak confident but she sounded weak.

"He is indeed your son, but fratello is his father. Right??" He questioned again.

Sarah took a deep breath and nodded slightly."What's his name??" Bash asked again.

"Alaric!! Alaric Alexander De Luca!!"She said with a loud sigh.She never wanted to say that loud.

"And he looks exactly like fratello!!" Bash spoke and she nodded. "So will you tell me as to why you have left even when you were alive and made us believe you died there??"

She stayed silent for a while and calmed herself down.She knew she has to face this one day. But she never expected it to be this soon.

"After he kidnapped me, when he came to know that I was pregnant, he kicked in my lower abdomen so hard that my baby died. And soon I managed to escape from the room where I was locked up and killed him. And then I set the time bomb there as I wanted to kill his every single men and escaped from there before the blast. And I didn't want to come back, so I decided to move out of the country. So I changed my appearance and faked my identity and got myself a new passport and came here. And when I found that I have been carrying twins and only one died I decided not to come back at all" She said holding back her tears.

"But you can't change the fact that he is the heir of LIONs" Bash spoke. No!! This is not what she wanted for her son. She doesn't want her son to be a ruthless man whose life will be in constant danger.

"No!! I don't want him to be related to any of those. I want him a normal life without danger." She spoke sternly.

"But still he is born into this world. Did you see him really?? He is going to be perfect one to be the next leader" His words made the ground under her feet crumble.

"N-No no no. He can't b-be" she spoke her voice shivering.

"Fine!! But at least he needs to know about his father about whom he desperately want to know" Bash said and her head started spinning.

"My son is better off without him" she spoke weakly and collapsed on her knees. She held her head in her hands and soon darkness clouded her. "I don't think so La Regina" Is the last thing she heard before darkness took over her.

When she woke up she was shocked to see herself tied in the car. Where am I?? What happened to me??Why am I tied up like this?? Where is my son?? Questions flooded in her mind.

She looked around to see Ric in Bash's arms sleeping peacefully. She was relived for a second and soon she panicked at her state and saw Bash smirking.

Even before she could say anything, She felt something prick into her skin and liquid filling inside her.

"I am sorry for this Sarah. But I know you are not going to hate me for this!!" Bash spoke to unconscious Sarah. He knows this was wrong. But he doesn't have a choice. She is the only one who can fix everything.

As they thought that Sarah was dead, Alex collapsed and stayed lifeless for weeks. He locked himself in their room. He didn't let anyone near him.Not even his brothers.No one saw him for more than 6 months after the incident except a few times.When he finally came out, he was a MONSTER. He shut all emotions off and turned back to his old self.

This time he was even more colder, more violent and more dangerous. Even the rest did the same. Padre, Stephan, Steve, Nikolai, Damon, David including him has shut the emotions off. They just didn't want to accept the fact that Sarah was dead and no more.

Nothing felt same for them. They just remained silent. They haven't spoken to each other normally ever since. They communicated only when it was related to work and all. It's as if Sarah has taken their souls along with her.

Even though they stay strong and cold on the exterior, only they know how broken they were from inside.When Bash first saw her in the restaurant, it's like all his emotions were triggered. He felt alive and he wanted the rest to feel the same.

She is the only one who can fix them and everything. And this little boy is going to bring their family back together. Bash just hoped everything to be fine and goes just as if he thought.

She opened her eyes again to see all too familiar surroundings around her. She was shocked and terrified to be here again.
