《The Possessive Billionaire✔️》Chapter 17

"Are you sure you wanna stay" Riley said pouting at me. I chuckled. She looked so cute when she did that.
"Yes, I'll be at home soon, I just have to finish up some papers, okay?" I looked at her.
"Okay..." she said giving me a small smile. I smiled back at her and pecked her lips before she left my office.

It's been about 30 minutes since working on the papers in front of me until I got a call.
"Yes?" I answered frustratedly.
"Boss, there's someone here that wants to speak with you" the other person on the line said.
"Who is it?"
"They won't say their name but they said it was important. Should I send them up?"
"Yes, go ahead" I ended the call and patiently waited at my desk before someone started knocking. I told them to come in and since I was too focused on the papers in front of me, I didn't know who was in front of me.
"Hello Zach..."
That voice. Sounded familiar. Way too familiar. I looked up and my eyes widened at the person standing in front of me.
Cara? What is she doing here?
"Cara?" I ask, standing up in disbelief. Why was she here now?
"Long time no see Zach" she smirked at me.
"What are you doing here?"
"I came to talk to you"
"About what?"
"I heard you got yourself a new girlfriend? I'm surprised I took you that long to move on"
"It's been 2 years Cara! Why are you here now?!" I yelled, letting my anger get the best of me.
"What's her name?"
"That's none of your business!"
"Isn't it Riley?"
"How do you know her name?" I asked her as she shrugged her shoulders.

"I have my sources. Anyways I just came here to tell you that I miss you and I want you back" she said flirtatiously.
I chuckled at her.
"Really? Well you're two years late for that. Plus I'm taken so that's not gonna happen" I scoffed at her.
As soon as I said that, she stayed quiet for a moment before talking again.
"You know she's eventually gonna leave you, right? After she realizes the kind of guy you really are. You used to sleep around with women and then break their heart as if nothing ever happened. I was the last person you ever had a thing with. I know you guys had a fight about a week ago, where she commented about you sleeping around like it's a game?"
The words that's came out of her mouth made me flinch. I'm used to being called jerk, a cold heartless man, and a player. And it never affected me. But it did when Riley said that during our fight.
"Zach" Cara said walking up to me, "She will leave you and break your heart and I know that you really don't want that to happen, do you? Because you love her. You told her you love her. But she's not the only one who you told you love before. You told me that too, a long time ago. She's gonna find out about me soon, will know that you still love me and eventually dump you. So it's probably best if you just end it first. Because she doesn't deserve someone like you"
Cara's right. She doesn't deserve someone like me. A player, someone who plays around with women's feelings.
Cara put a hand on my shoulder.
"I hope you make the right decision before it's too late" was the last thing she said before she walked out of my room.
I do need to end it with Riley. I just don't know when and how.
