I slowly opened the door to my apartment, with a flushed look on my face.

While I was taking of my shoes, Lucy came and greeted me with a warm hug.

"Hey, how was work today?" She asked, gently smiling at me.

"I-It w-was f-fine" I said giving her a fake smile. She eyed me carefully, squinting her eyes.

"Okay?" She asked, unsure of my answer.

The kiss....

The kiss that I shared with my boss, is all that has been in my mind for the entire day. That's literally all I can think about.

And the weird thing is, that I liked it. I promised myself that I wouldn't fall for my boss and I feel like that's exactly gonna happening just after one kiss.

A vey good one, might I add.

"Let's have a movie marathon!" Lucy exclaimed, breaking me out of my thoughts.

Lucy and I were sitting on the couch, watching Jumanji. It's the best movie ever!

Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Lucy curiously watching me and I know that she knows that there's something going on.

"Okay, that's it!" She said as she reached over for the remote and paused the movie.

I looked over at her.

"What's wrong?" I asked ask if there's nothing going on.

"You know what's wrong. You've been acting weird ever since you got home. What's going on? Did something happen at work?"

I avoided eye contact. I'm not really sure if I should tell her about the kiss. Because then she'll start to tease me about falling in love with my boss.

But then again, she is my best friend...

"Riley?", Lucy said making me eye contact with me, "you know you can tell me anything, right?"

I nodded at her.

"What's bothering you?"

Without thinking, I blurted it out.

"I kissed him!!!"

Her eyes immediately widened.

"Him? Who's him? Who did you kiss?" She said, a smile forming on her pretty face.

"Well technically, he kissed me!" I kept going on.

"Who?"

"My boss!"

"Oh my god really? You have to tell me everything. I knew something was gonna happen between you two but I didn't think it would happen this fast"

"Well, we just casually talking and then it happened. He said I looked hot-"

"Wait a minute, he said you look hot. He's totally into you"

"And after he said that, he kissed me!"

"How?"

"What do you mean how?"

"How was the kiss?"

"Oh, it was great. Actually...it was the best kiss of my life"

"Did you kiss him back?" She asked smirking at me.

"Of course! It kinda turned into a make out session where I somehow ended up on top of his desk, with his hands running up and down my body while my hands were tugging and gently pulling at his hair!" I said very quickly but somehow Lucy was able to pick up.

"What?!!", she said completely surprised, "You're telling me that you made out with your hot boss...in his office"

My cheeks flushed bright red as soon as my mind went back to our passionate make out.

I probably look like a tomato right now!

"Aww Riley, you love him!!" Lucy squealed.

What?!

"Lucy, in his assistant. There's absolutely no way that I love my boss just because we made out in his office!!" I glared at her.

"Oh come on"

"Lucy I can't," I said as I got up from the couch, "As much I'd love to kiss him and touch him all the time, there's no way that we'd ever be together. I don't deserve someone like him"

I responded, saying the last sentence quietly. I left the living room before Lucy could say anything else.
