It has been about a week since I started working as the new PA at Lockwood Industries. Today was Saturday, which means I don't have work.

I was currently cuddled up on my couch, eating a bowl of delicious oatmeal and watching Gossip Girl on Netflix.

Halfway through my current episode, my phone started ringing. I checked the caller ID, it was my mom. I actually haven't talked to my parents in a while. So I answered the phone.

"Hey mom" I said smiling to myself.

"Hi sweetie, how are you?"

"I'm great. How's everything going?"

"Everything's going well. Your father and I are fine. I actually called you to ask if you wanna have lunch at Kelsey's today with me and your father. We wanna talk to you about something and just catch up"

"Oh, um, sure. What time do you want me to be here?"

"12:30 is fine. Think you could make it?" I took a look at the time and it read 11:34am.

"Yeah, I'll be there. See you soon, mom. Tell dad I said hi"

"Of course! See you later, honey" I ended the call and continued to watch the episode of Gossip Girl.

I wonder what they want to talk to me about...

I was currently walking towards the entrance of Kelsey's to meet my parents. Once I entered the building, I noticed a familiar pair of faces. As I walked towards them, a smile grew on their faces. I gave them both a hug before sitting in front of them. After we ordered for our food and drinks, I decided to bring up the subject about the talk.

"So...what did you guys wanna talk about?" I ask, trying to not make it too awkward.

"Honey, we think it's time to find someone" my dad started. I looked at them, confused.

"What do you mean?"

"Honey, we want you to forget about James" my mom continued. As soon as I heard his name, I started to avoid eye contact.

"Sweetheart, we know he's the reason why you're shielding yourself"

"Mom, I'm fine. Seriously. James may have been a bad person but, honestly I'm not sure if I'm ready to find love again. I mean, what if the person I fall in love is just like him?"

"Honey, not everyone the same"

"I know but once I find someone, I promise I'll let you know"

"Good. Remember honey, we just want to to forget about him and move on"

I smiled at them and we soon started to eat when our food arrived.

My mind immediately drifted of to Mr. Lockwood. This week, he's been making me feel something. But I don't know what it is. I've caught him a few times staring at me, with an intense gaze.

My parents want me to find someone that would love me, for me. Someone that I could trust. Someone that I could spend the rest of my life with. I thought James might have been that someone. But I was wrong.

My parents are right. I need to put him behind me and move on. All I need to do is find someone that makes me happy and makes me feel loved. So that I can make them happy and love them with all of my heart.

I just don't know who that might be..
