I still get jealous cause you're too sexy, beautiful

-Nick Jonas

The music was too loud in my ears. The smell of sweat was extraordinarily prominent than any other party I'd ever been to. The party was being hosted by a junior whose name I couldn't recall, and he was doing an awful job at being a good host. Loudness of the music and alcohol does not make a party good, the atmosphere does.

Theo must have seen my scrunched up face because he bent down to whisper in my ear, "Just an hour and I promise we'll leave."

I nodded, not wanting to force him. He'd just won his first game of the year and I wanted him to celebrate. I wanted him to spend time with his team and his friends and enjoy. I couldn't be clingy, I wasn't clingy. I wanted him to have his own space.

The lusty looks every single girl in the house was giving to my boyfriend didn't go unnoticed by me. Some girls even came up to flirt with him. I could see he was uncomfortable and that made me feel a bit better. Still, it was getting on my nerves.

"Angel, I'm sorry."

"Don't be." I shook my head. "It's not your fault you're hot and everyone's crushing on you."

He smiled, but his eyes were serious. "We can leave right now if you want. You're much more important to me than this stupid party."

"No, it's fine. We'll leave in an hour."

He looked unconvinced but didn't press it further. He could feel I wasn't feeling so great, but I didn't want him to leave because of me. So I pushed at his chest. "Now go and celebrate your win."

"I'm not going anywhere."

"Theo, come on, don't be such a party pooper. Go and have fun."

"I am having fun here with you. I am happy when I'm with you." He said.

"As much as I like that, I want you to have fun with your team. They wanted you to come in the first place. I'm serious. Go, I'll be fine."

"You promise?" He looked uncertain.

I pushed him. "I'm not 5 dude, I'll be fine. Shoo away now."

He took a step back. "I promise I'll be back soon."

I admired the way he walked as he went away. I was still wearing his jersey, and I pulled the sleeves up to my palms, bringing it to my nose and taking a deep breath. My head moved past the crowded room to look at my surroundings, trying to find the way to the kitchen. I danced internally when I found it, making my way over to one of the red cups.

"Amelia?" I turned around abruptly.

"Ethan!" I exclaimed out. "What're you doing here?"

"What are you doing here? I thought parties weren't your thing." He replied back.

I waved a hand. "Oh, you know, the usual. Getting drunk, dancing like monkeys."

"Really now?" He raised an eyebrow and I grinned when he caught my lie. "I know you're here to look after your boyfriend," He glanced to the side, his eyes narrowing. "And by the looks of it you're doing a very shitty job."

I followed his gaze, finding the muscular figure of Theo sprawled on the couch, a blue colored drink in his hand. But that's not what angered me. On both his sides two very showing blondes were seated, one giggling, one grabbing his free hand and placing hers in it. He ripped his hand off the moment she touched it, but didn't get up.

"Go and shoo them away."

"I'm not gonna do that." I said to him, grabbing a red cup.

"What the fuck? They're clearly trying to seduce him."

I sighed. "I want him to have his space. I don't want him to feel I'm crowding him and not letting him enjoy. And I trust him."

"He's literally cringing away from those girls. He needs you to crowd him at the moment." Ethan replied back to me, sarcasm heavy in his tone.

At that moment the girl who'd been giggling grabbed my boyfriend's chin and turned his face around and smacked her lips on his. My blood boiled and before I could do a thing Theo pushed her away and got up quick as lightning, a very furious expression on his face visible to me even from this distance. He shouted something at her but I couldn't hear it, and walked away.

Ethan glanced at me with an unimpressed expression.

"Yeah, I'm gonna need something stronger than this." I said.

"Stop scowling. It's not their fault because in their eyes you can actually never settle down." Cameron chuckled.

"Can't they see that I'm not interested?" I huffed out. "I literally have no interest in anyone now except one girl."

"Well, since you've always played kind of hard to get at the first meet, it's not new to them. Besides, it's not like you guys have made a public announcement of your relationship. You've left that to people's imaginations and they can very well think she's just a fling to you."

"Well, she isn't." I snapped out.

He raised his hands in surrender. "I'm saying what people might be thinking."

I sighed, somewhat getting his point. The cold beer bottle in my hand stayed frozen by my side when I thought of what could have happened if Mia had seen the stupid girl kissing me. She'd blow apart and there could a very high possibility of me losing her, something that terrified and angered me at the same time. I'd just gotten her, there was no chance I'd let her go now.

"Theo!" I heard a loud voice booming through the walls and I didn't need to turn around to know who it was. "Come with me."

"What is it?" I asked.

"Your girlfriend." That was all it took for me to whip my head back and stand up as fast as lighting.

"What happened?" I asked Rider.

"She..uh..look for yourself." He scratched the back of his neck, looking kind of nervous.

I hurried behind him, desperate to find out what it was. I swear if someone hurt her I'll cut off their limbs and make them wish they'd never messed with her. Rider led me to the den where I'd previously seen people playing pool, but I'd never thought Mia was the girl to play pool so I was a bit confused at that point. Well, maybe she did play.

"What the fuck?"

My girlfriend was standing on top of a pool table, her long legs more prominent than before, a bottle of beer in her hand. She was laughing, her mouth turned into a full blown grin making my heart stop. On her head she was wearing a cowboy hat, where she got it from I had no idea. That is not what nearly gave me a heart attack. My jersey along with her top was gone, lying on the table at her feet. Boys were surrounding her like horndogs.

"Theo!" She screamed when she saw me. Every single guy turned around to look at me, and maybe they saw my clenched fists because some of them backed off.

"Hey everyone!" She shouted, I'd never heard her this loud. That was the moment I saw her cheeks were red, eyes dilated. She was fucking drunk, and I knew how she got when she was like that, and I did not want others to see. "By everyone I mean every girl in this house. Listen up bitches, fuck off!"

I moved forward, people parting away from me as if I were a plague. Every single person in this house could look at my face and understand just how mad I was right now. "What are you doing?" I gritted out when I reached her.

"I'm telling everyone that you are my boyfriend."

"Mia-"

"Yo bitches! He is my boyfriend. You hear that, he's my boyfriend. So fucking keep your lips to yourselves." She practically growled out.

I froze for a second, my anger vanishing away, replaced by guilt and fear. I heard a whistle behind me and that snapped me out of my daze. I turned around sharply, glaring at every single guy as they looked down. Then I grabbed her legs. "Come on, we're leaving."

"No." She groaned. "I don't want to leave."

"Mia, angel, come on. Wear your shirt."

She pouted but complied and picked up my jersey and threw it over her body, making me sigh in relief when her chest was covered from every eye. She giggled. "I like this, it smells like you."

I smiled, holding out my hands for her, motioning her to get down. She tightly grasped my hand, and stumbled down on me. I steadied her, flicking away the hat, tightly holding her waist. "You okay?"

She leaned in my chest. "I don't feel so good."

"Come on, let's take you home." I murmured in her ear and grabbed her top. "My place or yours?"

"Penthouse." She mumbled.

I supported her entire weight as we made our way towards the gate. Since her face was in my neck I could feel her eyelashes moving up and down as she blinked, making me shiver. I didn't even realize when we left the house and reached my car. I opened the door for her, making sure she was settled and then walking to the driver's seat.

When I turned the key to start the ignition, she whimpered, then flinched and slapped her hand over her mouth.

My blood turned cold. "Do not throw up in my car, angel."

She glanced at me sideways, blinking innocently, removing her hand. "What will happen if I do?"

"I will be really, really mad."

She giggled. "You can't be mad at me. I'm your weakness."

"No." I shook my head, turning on the car and increasing the speed. "You're my strength."

A secret smile played on her very kissable lips and she looked out of the window. I took a last glance at her, willing my eyes to look in front on the road or we'd crash. The rest of the ride was spent in silence. Mia had some flinching moments and I was sure I would have to spend the next day cleaning up her mess, but thankfully she didn't throw up.

When I parked the car and went over to her side and opened the door, she looked up at me with a baby like face and lifted her arms up. I raised an eyebrow, bending down, grabbing her waist and lifting her up. She wrapped her legs around my torso, clutching my shirt hurriedly.

"I'm not letting you fall."

"I know." She whispered. "You're hot."

I chuckled. "I know that."

"No, like warm hot. Do you have a fever?" She placed her hand on my forehead, frowning.

I nodded at the receptionist, not missing the way her eyes narrowed on Mia's back and pressed the button to the elevator. "I don't."

"You do, you do. You feel so hot."

"No baby you're cold."

She blinked, her frown slowly disappearing. "Oh."

When we reached to the top level, I punched in the code, hearing the automated voice greet me. I also heard the indistinct sound of a television playing and when I reached the hall the sprawled figure of my brother greeted me.

"Don't even ask." I said when I saw him look at me with a questioning glance. He smirked but didn't say anything.

I pushed open the door to my room, placing her on the center of the bed. She mumbled something and shifted to her side, bringing her legs up. I removed her sandals, lifting her head up to place a pillow beneath it. Placing the blanket on her body, tucking a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear and pressing a soft kiss on her forehead, I turned to leave.

She grabbed my hand. "Stay."

I looked down to find her sleepy eyes already on me, her face conveying she was sad I was leaving. So I took off my shoes, throwing open my closet to wear more comfortable clothes, and got in beside her when she rolled over to give me space. I pulled her closer as she placed her hand on my cheek and smiled.

"Good night." She mumbled.

"You do know you're gonna be sick tomorrow, right?"

"Mm. But you're gonna be there with me, it'll be fine."

My heart soared. I felt something weird, something I'd never felt ever before. "Always, angel. Always."
