And you got me feeling like a homecoming queen
-Selena Gomez
I felt something tickling my neck. A while later a heavy arm wrapped around my waist and pulled me against a strong chest. A while after that I felt something poke my cheek and the sound of a deep breath being taken.
Theo buried his face in my neck. "Fuck, you smell so good."
I lazily opened my eyes, feeling the flutter of his eyelashes against my neck, making me giggle. "That tickles."
He looked up, his hair ruffling in all directions, sleep evident in his eyes and gave me a dazzling dimpled smile. "Good morning, beautiful girlfriend."
My heart soared. I felt giddy all over. "Hey."
"What time do you have classes?"
"Post lunch." My breath hitched when he teasingly bit my neck.
"Perfect. I'll drive you because I've got classes the same time."
"Okay." I replied, my voice breathy. He pressed a last kiss on my cheek and got up. The wide expanse of his shoulder blades made his chest look broader. My eyes shamelessly roamed down his perfect abs, to his small button shaped navel. His pants hung low on his waist, making the 'v' dangerously visible. As if sensing my gaze on him, he smirked.
"There's an extra toothbrush in the bathroom. I'll be in the kitchen." He shook his head, his already ruffled up hair ruffling more. He turned around to give me a glance, his expression sly and flirty. "Don't take too long."
I got up from the bed, my eyes widening when I realized I wasn't wearing a shirt. I looked on the ground but couldn't find my top. So I grabbed Theo's black shirt and put it on. His sleeves were much longer than I'd expected, drowning my arms, reaching down till the middle of my thighs. I was still wearing the shorts I'd worn to the party, and they weren't really visible from the his shirt, so I kept them on.
A few minutes later I was happily walking out of the room, into the kitchen. I observed the penthouse more closely, keeping in mind to ask Theo for a tour. His flat was fucking huge. The kitchen was open, attached to the living room, so it wasn't tough to find it.
My boyfriend was standing in front of the gas stove, flipping a pancake like an expert. He looked cute from the side. He was smiling, but since I saw seeing him from the right side the dimple wasn't really visible. His long eyelashes cast a shadow on his cheek. When my eyes left his figure, I saw a similar person sitting on a bar stool in front of him.
Tobias was shirtless, sitting in front of Theo with his back to me. His shoulders were broader, more muscular. "So, I told him to mail me a copy of the document. And-"
As if he heard me, his head whipped back to look at me. His eyes widened, looking at me up and down. I blushed, knowing what he would be thinking. He whipped back to look at Theo. "You sick fuck. All the weird smiling now makes sense. You couldn't tell me you'd already talked? Actually, you've done more than just talking."

"Fuck off, dude. Don't scare her away." Theo laughed, then flicked his eyes to look at me. "Hi baby."
Sweet mother of Jesus.
I'd never been a nick name person, but he'd given me more nick names than anyone ever. And when he called me that, I felt my legs turning to jelly and my breathing hitch.
Tobias looked between us, smirking but still looking confused. "Okay, well, what is going on?"
Theo turned off the stove and walked over to me, placing a hand around my waist and pressing a kiss to my forehead. "You want nutella or chocolate syrup?"
Tobias hollered. I giggled, sometimes I forgot Tobias was older than Theo.
"I don't think I've ever heard you ask that to anyone." Tobias wiped off imaginary tears from his eyes. "My baby brother's all grown up."
"Shut up." Theo shook his head and led me to the counter. I sat down beside Tobias, watching as my boyfriend made me breakfast. His muscles clenched when he flipped another one, and I practically drooled. He was so fucking gorgeous that it hurt to look at him, and he was my boyfriend, mine.
He placed a plate of chocolate pancakes in front of me, holding a bottle of chocolate syrup and a jar of nutella. I smiled, grabbing the nutella and taking a huge spoon out of it. "So, how have you been, Tobias?"
"Well, I'm wonderful. How are you? Oh, I already know the answer to that question. Wait a fucking second," Tobias scrunched his eyebrows as he concentrated on a particular spot on Theo's neck. "Is that a hickey?"
Theo shrugged. "My girl wants to me mark me, my body is hers."
I looked down, my cheeks flaming red. I was sure I looked like a tomato right now.
"What have you done to him?" Tobias chuckled, shaking his head. "You're a gone case, dude."
We had breakfast in silence, well, Tobias continued his teasing. It was a bit new and uncomfortable at first, but then I got used to it and teased him back. From the corner of my eye I could see Theo smiling at me, and when I asked him what the matter was he'd just shook his head and said he was happy.
He'd driven me home, and right now I was pestering him to let me apply some concealer on the bruise on his neck, but he wasn't getting any of it.
"Theo, come on, everyone would be able to see it."
"So? Are you ashamed?"
"What? No! But I just, it's embarrassing."
"Well, come here, I'll give you one and then we could be matching."
"W-what?" I spluttered. "You're a dork. We're not getting matching hickeys, Theo."
"Suit yourself." He shrugged. "You're my girlfriend. You have every right to give me hickeys and if someone has a problem with that they're gonna deal with me."
"But-"
"This is the first thing you've ever given me. I don't fucking care what it is and what people think, I'm not hiding something I'm proud of and have wanted for ages."
I smiled. "Okay."
He smiled back. "I'm gonna be in the car."

I took a last glance at myself, grabbing my sneakers from the drawer and tying their laces. Uncle Mason had already left for work and I picked up a toast, closing the gate behind me and strutting my way over to the car.
"How are your classes going?" I asked him cheerfully.
"Good." He nodded his head. He didn't glance at me, nor made any move to continue the conversation. His eyes were on the road but I knew his mind was somewhere else. He wasn't in a good mood.
"Will you drive me back home or should I-"
"I will." He gave a curt response.
"Is-is something wrong?" I asked hesitantly. I grabbed one of his hands from the steering wheel and placed it on my knee. He intertwined our fingers.
"Would you leave me if someone asked you to?" He asked.
"What are you talking about? Where did this come from?"
"Just tell me. If someone asked you to breakup with me, would you do it?"
"Why would someone ask me to breakup with you?" I asked.
"Because they don't...like me." He replied, his voice soft. "Please don't leave me, angel."
"I promised you yesterday I wasn't going anywhere now. And I don't break promises. What's wrong? Who are we talking about here?"
He took a very long time to respond. "Bridget." He whispered softly.
"Bri would not ask me to breakup with you, Theo."
"She doesn't like me. She'd said she would never let me have you because I would break your heart. I would never break your heart, Mia. She said that-"
"Pull over."
He stopped the car at the side, looking ahead.
"Now look at me." I cupped his face and made him face me. His eyes were full of pain and cautiousness. "I am here, and I am not going anywhere, okay? Bridget is my best friend and she is only looking out for me, but she doesn't know anything about us. She doesn't know you like I do."
"You promise you won't leave me?"
"I promise you." I pulled him closer, kissing his lips. "Stop worrying so much. I'm not gonna leave you just because someone asked me to. Yeah I mean, if you do something that pisses me off-"
"Don't you dare complete that sentence." He growled out. He turned around and started the car again as I chuckled. We talked on the entire way then, him teasing me, me getting mad, then me teasing him, him getting mad.
When he parked the car in front of the uni, our eyes met. I gave him a smile and grabbed my bag. He tried giving me a smile, but I could see it on his face that he was nervous. "Mia, please, promise-"
"Baby, I'm not leaving you so stop fucking worrying."
His demeanor changed, the previous nervous look being replaced by amazement first, then sheer happiness. His sudden mood change surprised me. "What just happened?"
"You called me baby."
I looked at him to see if he was serious, then chuckled, getting out of the car. "You're such a dork."
"You know I just realized," He said as he got out of the car and pulled me to his side. "If someone asks you to leave me, I won't let you. You're not leaving me." With that he grabbed my waist, pulling me closer, giving me a kiss on the forehead, and walking ahead.
That is when the whispers started. I had expected something like this, but when every single person in the parking lot stared at us with wide eyes I started feeling awkward and nervous. I moved closer to Theo, his protective arm around my waist feeling a lot more comfortable. As if he sensed my hesitancy, he looked at me with a small smile, shook his head and uncoiled his arm from my waist only to wrap it around my shoulders and pull me in his body even closer.
"Everyone knows." I whispered to him.
"No, they don't. They're just speculating."
"Well, everyone is speculating then."
He looked down at me. "Is that bothering you? Do you want me to-"
"No, it's fine. It's just very new, I don't know how to act."
"Just relax, okay? Everything will be fine." He said as we made our way to the canteen. People didn't stop looking at us and whispering among themselves, and after a while I got a bit used to it so I didn't feel as nervous I was feeling before. When we rounded the corner, I saw my friends sitting at the usual table.
Savannah was the first one who noticed us. Her eyes lit up as she glanced at the arm around me, then raised an eyebrow. When I smiled and nodded at her, she smiled so hard that it blinded my eyes. I saw Bridget eyeing us, her face not conveying any kind of emotion to me. I tried meeting her eyes but she didn't look at me.
When we reached the table, Scott slapped the back of Theo's arm. "Fucking finally."
I laughed as Savannah ripped me from his arm and pulled me in a hug. "I'm so happy for you."
"Thanks Sav." Theo grabbed my waist and pulled me to his chest again, nuzzling my neck.
Dean chuckled. "Dude you're so whipped. I literally have never seen you like this. It's entertaining. Promise me, Amelia, that you'll give him hell."
I grinned, but it vanished when I saw Bridget get up. She was my best friend, I needed her to understand this is what I wanted. I needed her know that I could take care of my heart and she didn't need to protect me always.
She walked in front of me. "Are you sure?"
I smiled softly. "Yes, Bri."
"In that case," Her eyes turned to Theo, mischievous but serious at the same time. "If you hurt her, I will chop off your dick."
He grinned. "You got it, Cat."
Everyone laughed at the comment, Bri shaking her head lightly and hugging me.
"Thank you." I whispered to her.
"I saw the way he fought at the bar, babe. I know for a certain fact no random guy would ever fight for someone like that. And I saw the way you looked when you were with him. You had this cheerful and happy vibe in you and I loved it. I can't be the one to take it away from you."
"You're the best, Bri."
She grinned her signature grin at me. "I know."

The Legion of Nothing
Nick Klein is your average high school geek--if you can still count as average when your grandfather is a retired superhero, and you've been trained in the martial arts by his friend, a mysterious, immortal mercenary. After his grandfather dies, Nick inherits the last version of the Rocket suit, powered armor that allows him to shrug off bullets, smash through walls, and manipulate sound. Along with it comes the base of his grandfather's superhero team including the team's jet and trophies from forty years of fighting criminals and aliens. Together, Nick and his friends, descendants of his grandfather's teammates, attempt to bring back a superhero team that was originally formed during World War 2. Along the way they'll face the normal problems of high school (bullies, homework, and dating), and the less normal problems like supervillians and mysteries leftover from their grandparents' past. As a story, it uses the conventions of all eras of comics from the 1940s on, ranging from serious to silly. If you're hoping for a grim and gritty story, this isn't it. The Legion of Nothing first debuted on my website legionofnothing.com in 2007. In that period it's updated more than 900 times, is still running, and has had millions of pageviews.
