《Ice cream, Teasing and Awkward Situations》Chapter 33

Around an hour later, we were stood outside Lucas's house. In seconds of us ringing the bell, the door swung open to reveal Lucas' charming self.

He smiled as soon as he saw us, but his eyes sparkled with a special kind of excitement when his eyes landed on May. It didn't go unnoticed by me when May's cheeks turned a bright red crimson.

Wonderful, my ship was sailing smooth.

"So, are you guys just gonna stare at each other all day, or can I come in?" I playfully remarked as I rocked back and forth on my heels.

Oh, how I loved being a little shit-stirrer...

Lucas narrowed his eyes at me. "Pur-lease Mia, like you and you-know-who, don't do the same," he scoffed.

"No idea, who you're on about there," I lied.

He just rolled his eyes and led us to his living room, where I was immediately bombarded with the presence of around six or so popular guys from school. They were spread out across the three sofas and were chatting mindlessly away about some soccer shit that I didn't understand.

They looked up at us in intrigue as we entered, and their eyes drew to Chloe's body like magnets. Guys normally had this reaction when she walked into a room, with her curvaceous, goddess-like body. I saw some blond-haired dude, give a quick once-over May, but when he was met with Lucas' harsh gaze, he immediately darted his eyes to the floor. And of course, nobody was looking at me because who fucking would, when you have Chloe to look at.

I looked around the room to see if I could find a certain someone lurking around a corner, but he was nowhere in sight.

Lucas caught my gaze. "Relax, Mia, Ethan's upstairs," he chuckled.

"Pft..yeah so? I wasn't looking for him, I was just admiring the interior design of this room," I shrugged.

"You're not fooling me," Lucas called over his shoulder as he walked away.

Suddenly he paused, backtracked a few steps, and patted his pockets as though he was trying to locate something he forgot.

"Oh, silly me, there's my girl," Lucas laughed as he grabbed a surprised May by the wrist and pulled her over to the sofas. I chuckled and shook my head at him in amusement.

For a few minutes, I just leaned up against the wall, bored out of my mind. Chloe had inserted herself in the middle of two hot guys and was enjoying every second as they shamelessly flirted with her. While Lucas and May sat on their own private sofa, as they giggled and whispered to each other. Well, when you're bored out of your mind, there's only one logical place to go- the kitchen.

I pushed myself off the living room wall and headed over to the kitchen. As soon as I entered, I immediately stopped in my tracks as I was met with the most breath-taking sight.

On the kitchen island, there was a large platter with steaming hot, fresh out of the oven, chocolate chip cookies. The delicious smell wafted towards me and almost made me sob with happiness. I needed them.

Before I could even stop myself, a cookie was already in my hand and plunging into the depths of my mouth. I moaned as the chocolate melted in my mouth. God, they were good. Like really, fucking good. I guess it can't hurt to have another one. As soon as I finished that one, I immediately reached for two more and then after that two more and so on until they were all gone. I looked down at the empty plate in mortification.

I'm such a greedy bitch....

Oh well, it's Lucas' fault for leaving them out and unattended. He should have known I was coming and hid them.

Lucas then decided at that very moment to enter the kitchen, causing me to freeze in place. He nodded at me in greeting, about to head for the fridge when he paused. He slowly looked down at the plate where the cookies used to sit, and then at me.

He gulped. "Please, please tell me you didn't eat the cookies, Mia..." he questioned slowly.

I smiled at him innocently. "Sorry, but I couldn't help myself...I mumbled awkwardly. As a horrified expression crossed over his face, I instantly felt regret for my actions.

Lucas let out a weird cry sound and started to massage his temples over and over, as he paced around like a mad-man

"Shit. Shit. Ethan's going to fucking kill me. Shit," he hissed.

"What's the big deal? They're just cookies. I'll help you make some more, if you want," I offered.

"No, Mia. They weren't just cookies. They were edibles," He cried.

I screwed my face up in confusion. "What the fuck are edibles?"

He let out an exasperated sigh before grabbing me by my shoulders. "They had Cannabis in them. Cannabis is a drug, Mia. Drugs are very, very bad," he said simply and slowly, as though he was talking to an idiot.

Realization hit me like a truck. I inhaled a sharp intake of breath and slapped a hand over my mouth. My chest rose and fell with rapid breaths, and I felt like I was on the cusp of a panic attack.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck! This is bad. This is very, very bad.

"So, y-you are telling me, th-that I ate an entire plate of d-drugged cookies," I stuttered.

By some miracle, I was hoping I might have misheard him.

Lucas slowly nodded his head up and down, as a look of guilt crossed over his face.

"Ugh, you idiot! Why did you leave them unattended?" I cried.

He held his hand up defensively. "It wasn't me who made them, it was those idiots out there," he yelled as he gestured to the door.

" Besides, they probably didn't think anyone would be greedy enough to eat them all in on go," he commented slyly.

"Okay, fine, maybe it is my fault, but there's nothing I can do about that now! What am I going to do?" I shouted.

"Well...erm...nothing, I guess," Lucas shrugged.

I scoffed. "Wow, Lucas thanks a lot, I feel a lot better now," I snapped.

Lucas sighed and put an arm comfortingly around my shoulder. "Hey, look on the Brightside, in a few minutes to hours, you'll be feeling a lot better," Lucas chuckled.

I frowned and shoved his arm off angrily. "You know what, I bet they've barely got any Cannabis in them at all otherwise they would have tasted funny. Did they taste, alright?" Lucas inquired.

"Yeah, that's a good point. They did taste pretty normal," I smiled, as relief washed over me.

"See you have nothing to worry about, so just go back out there, mingle, have fun," Lucas said as he slowly led me over to the door.

He stopped abruptly. "But under no circumstances, should you ever tell Ethan what happened," he said, as he stared at me with a deathly serious expression on his face.

"Yeah, of course, I'm not stupid. The last thing we need is another one of his little tantrums," I laughed.

Lucas' shoulders sagged down in relief. "Did I ever tell you how much of an awesome person you are?" he smiled.

"Nope, but you should," I laughed.

As I walked, I felt my anxiety bubble back up to the surface. I pushed the feeling away, and took a deep breath in and out.

Everything was going to be fine. They weren't made strong. I was going to be fine. I could handle this.

I flailed my arms around wildly as I danced to the beat of the music.

"Woohoo," I yelled at the top of my lungs, as I started to wiggle my butt to the music.

Lifting the plastic cup in my hand to my lips, I glugged down the rest of its contents before clumsily wiping my mouth with the back of my sleeve. I smiled in satisfaction at the burning sensation as it slid down my throat. This shit was good. Why didn't I drink this more often?

I had kicked the magazines off the coffee table so I could dance on it. I was getting the occasional odd look, from two judgmental guys on the sofa, but I didn't care. I was having the best fun I've had in a long time; I felt free. It was a pity that I was the only one dancing. Most of the other spoilsports had gone to play some boring card game in the kitchen, but not me. I wanted to dance. One of the guys let out a snort of laughter.

I turned around to face them and pouted. "What," I whined.

The guy smirked, "Oh nothing, we were just impressed by your dance moves, that's all," he said as his eyes raked me up and down.

"We especially liked your last move; you know the one where you rotated your hips. Can you do it one more time for us, but this time slower," he winked. His friend's laughter picked up after he said this.

I smiled a big toothy grin. "Yea-yeah, of course, I will," I hiccupped as I turned back around.

Just as I was about to start dancing again, Chloe emerged from the kitchen. She looked at me with widened eyes before she quickly rushed over to me. "Why are you on the table? And why are they just sitting there?" Chloe fired out, as she gestured to the guys in confusion.

I just laughed and jumped off the table. "Shhhhh, Chloe," I said as I placed a finger clumsily over her lips to silence her. I wobbled slightly but managed to maintain my balance.

She snatched my red solo cup out of hand. "How much have you had to drink?" She snapped.

Someone cleared their throat from behind me. "Chubs, can I talk to you about something important?"

I turned around and found a rather nervous looking Ethan standing behind me.

"Ethan..." I drawled in excitement as I opened my arms wide and threw myself into his arms. He caught me just in time and let out a surprised chuckle.

"Well, this is a greeting I could certainly get used to," he laughed as he slowly put me down.

"Don't get excited Ethan, she's drunk," Chloe said flatly.

I shook my head wildly from side to side. "No, that's not true at all, she's lying!" I yelled as I stomped my foot down in frustration. I attempted to storm away from her in anger, but my legs didn't seem to want to co-operate with me, and I tripped.

"Woah, careful," Ethan said as he steadied me by wrapping an arm around my waist. He helped me to my feet but still kept his hand on the small of my waist, as though afraid I might still fall.

His eyes clouded with concern as they flickered between mine. He sighed and looked up at Chloe.

"How long has she been like this?" he asked.

"I have no idea, I just came in here, and she was looked like she about to dance on the table for your buddies," Chloe spat as she wrinkled her nose in disgust.

Ethan's jaw tightened, and he snapped his head over to the sofa where they sat. The two guys froze, and a horrified look passed over their faces.

"We..er..I...," one of the guys stuttered.

"Just get the fuck out, before I do something I regret," Ethan snapped. They wasted no time and immediately scrambled to their feet and out the door as though their life depended on it.

I watched them leave with a pout. "Aww, you're so mean," I cried as I crossed my arms.

"Mean?" he scoffed.

"They're lucky I didn't put them into a fucking hospital," he scowled.

Ethan looked so cute when he was moody that I couldn't help myself, and I threw my arms around his neck with a giggle, causing him to stumble back a little.

"You're just jealous because you missed my dance. I can do it again if you like...," I whispered breathily in his ear. For a second, Ethan went incredibly still and tightened his grip around my waist.

He swore and pushed me away with a frown. "Why the hell did you drink so much?"

"Because I wanted to," I shrugged. "Oh, and because of the cookies... oh wait oops, Lucas asked me not to tell you that," I giggled as I slapped a hand over my mouth.

He furrowed his eyebrows for a few seconds before his eyes widened in realization.

"Shit, you ate the edibles!" Ethan hissed.

Chloe widened her eyes. "Omg, is she high?"

"Yes, now excuse me for a second. I need to go find Lucas and kill him," Ethan snapped.

He dragged me along by the arm, and stormed his way over to the kitchen with me stumbling along behind him.

"Lucas!" Ethan yelled as he flung open the door of the kitchen.

Lucas was leaned up against the kitchen counter and was mid-way through a conversation with May. He looked towards Ethan in surprise, and when he saw me trailing along behind him, the blood drained from his face.

"Well, shit!" Lucas said.

Ethan let out a bitter laugh. "Shit indeed. Would you like to explain to me why the fuck is Chubs high on fucking cannabis?" he yelled.

"How do you know I have anything to do with it?" Lucas asked cautiously.

"She told me. Maybe, next time, don't trust someone high to keep your fucking secrets," Ethan snapped in annoyance.

"Look, man, I'm sorry, but she ate the entire plate before I even got there," Lucas snapped to his defense.

Ethan let out a long frustrated sigh. "Of course, you would..." he grumbled as he glared at me.

"You've got eyes like, Ian Somerhalder," I stammered out abruptly, as I shamelessly stared at his beautiful blue eyes.

Ethan looked a bit surprised by my declaration before a massive grin spread over his face. "You meant the actor you're obsessed with? The one you find hot?" He laughed as his eyes sparkled with amusement.

I nodded my head eagerly. "Yup," I replied chirply.

May winced. "I think that's enough confessions for today, let's get you to bed" May sighed, as she started to walk over to me.

Ethan shook his head and pulled me closer to him. "No, you should stay and enjoy yourself, May. I'll take her upstairs and look after her, I wanted to get some homework done anyway," Ethan explained. "And besides, I'm quite interested in hearing a few more of her confessions," he chuckled.

May snorted. "Fair enough, I don't blame you. I'll come up to check on her in a bit," May said, as she shot him a grateful smile.

"Let's get you upstairs shall we," Ethan, said as he wrapped his arms around me and swept me off my feet.

"Oooo this is fun, I like being carried. Especially by you," I winked.

Ethan bit his lip and tried not to laugh as he ascended the stairs. I titled my head and admired him as he walked. God was he a beautiful man, with his cute little button nose and pink, kissable lips. Lips that are wanted to-

"Why are you staring at me?" Ethan laughed.

"Because I like the way you look," I shrugged, It confused me immensely why he was asking such a stupid question.

His mouth broke out into a wildly massive grin at my statement. "Really? Because just the other day your exact words were that I was 'distractingly ugly'," he questioned.

"Pft no,...more like distractingly hot," I giggled as I bopped his nose with my finger.

"You know, you're not too bad like this," he smirked.

When we got to the spare room, he walked me over to the bed and helped me slide underneath the covers.

"Just try and get some sleep, Okay, chubs," he said as he tucked a stray strand of hair behind my ear. "I'll be right at the desk if you need anything," he smiled, as he finished tucking me in. As he started to walk away, I frowned, as I realized I didn't want to sleep.

"No," I whined as I kicked the covers off in frustration. "I don't want to sleep," I snapped. Before he could even fully turn around, I leaped off the bed and dashed the door.

"Fuck," Ethan swore as he quickly chased after me. I didn't get far before I felt his arms wrap around my waist. He spun me around quickly, and I grunted in surprise, as I fell against his chest.

"Wow, Ethan, your chest is ridiculously hard," I giggled, as I patted his pecs

"You should really stop talking, Mia," he chuckled as he helped me to my feet.

"What it's true. Mine is way softer, see," I said, as I grabbed his hand and put it over my chest. I had barely put it there for a second before he ripped his hand away.

"Mia, you shouldn't just let people randomly grope your boob," he mumbled, as his face turned bright red.

"But it wasn't anyone, it was you," I smiled as I wrapped my arms around his neck. I drew my lips up to his ear, and I felt his breath quicken.

"And you're always allowed to touch me, Ethan, always," I whispered. I bit my lip, pulled back, and stared. I admired every delectable feature on his handsome face, but there was one I had sight on in particular; his lips.

"M-mia, w-what are you doing?" Ethan stuttered as he swallowed harshly.

"This," I giggled.

I grabbed a fistful of his shirt and pulled his lips onto mine.

Ethan let out a groan of surprise as our lips met, and just stood before me paralyzed in shock.

I moved my lips hungrily against his and delved my hands into the locks of his hair and tugged. A moan escaped his lips, which seemed to stir him awake.

He kissed me back with longing and desperation. His hands slid down to my body and trailed down to my hips before giving them a soft squeeze. I moaned in pleasure.

As soon as the sound left my lips, he ripped himself away from me as fast as lightning.

"Shit," he hissed as he stared back at me with wildly frightened eyes.
