《Ice cream, Teasing and Awkward Situations》Chapter 22

Shit. Shit. Shit.
This had to be a mistake, it just had to. Reality wouldn't be cruel enough to lock me in a cupboard. Alone. With Ethan!
A cupboard in which I'd be expected to do things with him. Nope, there's just no way. This game was supposed to be helping me get over him not under him.
I narrowed my eyes at Ethan, who was still staring at me with an annoyingly smug expression on his face.
"You're such a liar, give me the paper," I scoffed, as I held my hand out expectantly. This was obviously the little pricks idea of a joke.
Ethan chuckled as he got up on to his feet. He slowly sauntered over to me before placing it confidently into my awaiting hand. As soon as I read it, my heart immediately dropped through my chest. Written messily in black ink pen, was my name; Mia Collins.
Crap.
I looked up at Ethan with a gulp, who was crouched before me.
"So...erm..seven minutes, huh?" I mumbled.
His smile widened even further. "That's right, seven wonderful minutes," he repeated as he held his hand out for me.
With shaky, nervous hands I put my hand in his and let him drag me to my feet.
He led me over to the closet and opened the door. "After you, Chubs," Ethan smirked, gesturing with a jerk of his head.
"Remember no evidence, no eyebrows," Lucas called out with a laugh. I shot Lucas a rude gesture before stomping my way past Ethan and into the closest.
As I got in I noticed how dimly lit it was, the only light source a dull overhead lamp which kept flickering annoyingly on and off. The closet was uncomfortably small, looking just about able to squeeze in three people max. It was supposed to be designed to store your coats and jackets in, not for people to fuck around in.
I jumped in surprise as I heard the door slam loudly behind me and a lock slide into place.
"Wow, someone's feeling jumpy," Ethan teased, as I turned around to face him.
"Can you blame me? I'm stuck inside here with a weirdo," I snapped.
"Well ouch, tell me how you really feel," Ethan laughed.
His laughter just pissed me off further. "Why the hell do you look all relaxed for?" I snapped, looking him up and down judgmentally.
He was just casually leaned up against the door, with a wide-ass grin on his face.
"I hate to break it to you Ethan, but you didn't look so hot when both your eyebrows were missing," I scoffed.
"Don't you get it? We're fucked, Ethan. We're well and truly fucked!" I cried, making wild gestures with my hands.
"He's not gonna shave your eyebrows off Mia, he's just messing with you," Ethan said as he rolled his eyes.
"You promise me." I narrowed my eyes.
"Well I don't know that for sure..." he drawled out. "But it doesn't matter either way, cuz we're gonna get evidence," he stated confidently.
"Wait a second...maybe we could fake the evidence or something," I said as my eyes lit up in excitement.

Ethan screwed his face up. "Erm...fake the evidence?" he questioned.
"Yeah, you know we could ruffle up our hair a little or something," I suggested with an excited grin.
"Chubs, Lucas isn't as stupid as he looks. He'll want stronger evidence than that," Ethan scoffed.
"Well I guess I'm just screwed then. Who needs eyebrows anyway?" I cried as I threw my arms up in the air dramatically.
Ethan rolled his eyes and pushed himself off the door and made his way over to me. "Relax, I've got an idea," he smirked.
I watched with widened eyes as he started to corner in on me, his eyes alit with a strange troublesome spark. My heart instantly lurched to life, and I wasn't sure if it was because of excitement or fear.
Must be fear.
He slowly pushed me so my back was up against the wall. He smiled down at me as he completely diminished any space between our bodies and rested his hands on either side of my head.
"Am I making you nervous?" he whispered hoarsely, with a teasing smirk on his face.
"Pft..no," I lied, my voice coming out more shaky than I intended it to.
He just let out a low chuckle, before brushing a stray of hair behind my ear. The small action caused my heart to flutter and I couldn't help but let myself get lost in his eyes, their mesmerizing blue light enrapturing me.
"What...what are you doing?" I stuttered nervously, barely able to get the words past my lips. He leaned in closer, so his mouth was loosely brushed up against my ear.
"Do you trust me?" he whispered gruffly. I found myself nodding my head.
"Then just relax," he breathed, as he moved his head to the crest of my neck.
I gasped in surprise as I felt the warmth of his lips press against the skin of my neck, and his hand moved to cup the base of my neck. He placed long, mind numbing-kisses down my neck, as he pulled me closer to him.
"Ethan..." I mumbled breathily, not sure if I was trying to ask him to stop or continue.
"Just tell me to stop and I will," he whispered against my skin.
As he made it down to my collar bone, his kisses became more frantic and deeper and he hastily moved the collar of his jacket out the way, so he could gain more access. As he sucked greedily on to the skin, I found myself leaning my head back, almost as though I was under a spell. And before I could stop it, a soft groan escapes from my mouth, echoing around the quiet air of the closet.
I didn't say a word and just slowly closed my eyes in embarrassment. I felt the corners of his mouth stretch out into a smile against my skin, which seemed to inspire him to suck even harsher against my skin. Ethan then teasingly brushed his lips up the length of my neck before teasingly pulled on the lobe of my ear with his teeth.
"Glad to hear, you're enjoying it," he whispered.
That's when we heard a knock on the door.
"Fun's up guys, you have 7 seconds," we heard a voice call out with a laugh. I pushed him away from me abruptly.

God, what is wrong with me. Why did I let him do that?
Ethan groaned in irritation. "Seven minutes is a little bit too fucking short if you ask me," he grumbled.
I just rolled my eyes before a horrifying thought crossed my mind, causing me to completely freeze in place.
"Oh no, oh no, oh no," I said as I started to hyperventilation. "We've got nothing, Ethan. We've got zero evidence," I cried.
"Ugh, you're such an idiot! Why the hell did you distract me for?" I yelled as I pushed on his chest in anger.
Ethan looked alarmed for a second before his face quickly contorted to one of amusement. "I wouldn't worry about Chubs," he said with a chuckle as he pushed me in the direction of the door and opened it for me.
"Bu-but, what are you talking about?" I stammered out in confusion as we both climbed out.
As soon as we entered the well-lit room, I was immediately silenced. For everyone was looking at me, or rather a certain part of me rather closely.
I caught May and Chloe's eyes who both looked like they were on the brink of bursting out into laughter.
Lucas stood up and walked over to us, an impressed look on his face. "Wow, that's quite a hickey you've got there Mia. Nice to see you guys had fun," Lucas winked.
I grabbed my neck instinctively and snapped my head towards Ethan at a frighteningly sharp speed. "You gave me a fucking hickey!" I yelled as I fired him the most hateful glare I could muster.
"Well, it's part of the game," Ethan shrugged. "And besides, maybe it'll inspire some of the perverts at the party, to back the hell away from you. You're marked as mine now," he winked as he admired the spot on my neck with a proud smile.
That's all he had to say before I shot a sharp kick to his shin out of spite.
"Fuck," he winced, as he quickly crouched down to clutch his leg.
"Next time, don't mark people, just to make a point," I spat at him angrily.
Before he could get another word out, I turned sharply on my heel and stomped my way back to my seat.
As soon as I threw myself down on the floor, I was met with the sound of my best friends' obnoxious cackles of laughter.
"Yikes, it looks like you've been attacked by a leech," May snickered. I widened my eyes.
"Oh god, really? How bad is it?" I cried as I scrambled to get my phone out of my bag.
I quickly clicked onto the camera app and let out a long whine as I took in the sight of my reflection. There was a huge angry red mark right over the top of my collar bone. It wasn't subtle in the slightest.
"Great, now I'm going to have to cake myself in makeup and wear turtlenecks to cover this shit up," I growled.
I glanced across the circle and found Ethan looking at me with a frown and a slightly guilty expression on his face.
Don't fall for it, Mia. Just ignore him.
As the game went on, I was incredibly distracted, as my mind kept taking me back to when I was in the closet with Ethan. I hated to admit it, but whatever Ethan did to my neck, felt good. Really, really fucking good.
God, I can't believe I actually moaned. I must have sounded like such an idiot. The only reason he did any of that was because he was an overprotective asshole. It was incredibly naïve but I was kinda hoping, that maybe, just maybe, he did it because he liked it. Because he liked me.
But I guess I was wrong.
When the game was finally over, everyone dispersed, and my friends and I went back downstairs to the main party room.
Chloe screamed as soon as she heard the track switch to her favorite song and immediately started to drag us into the middle of the room to dance. As we all jumped around like fools, Lucas suddenly jumped into our little circle and started to do some god-awful dance moves.
I almost died with laughter, as he started to twerk right in May's face. My laughter slowly died down as I spotted Ethan's figure standing at the wall, by the far corner of the room. He wasn't alone. He was with some girl.
A very pretty girl with the most delicate features, and beautiful layers of pastel blonde hair.
So he was into blonde's, huh? I've never resented myself for having dark hair, but at that moment, all I wanted to be was blonde.
Little miss perfect must have said something funny because he threw his head back and laughed, smiling down at her with a look of amusement in his eyes.
The sight was so incredibly painful someone might as well have ripped my heart out and stomped on it. I bet this was the mystery girl, the one he had a crush one. She didn't go to our school, so how the hell did he even know her? Who invited her? Was she a college girl? Was he into older woman?
As I was busy staring daggers at the back of her head, Ethan decided at that precise moment to look my way. He looked taken aback by my expression and tilted his head, as though he was trying to read me.
He turned his attention back to her, said something, and then started to make his way over to me.
Great, I bet he was just coming over here to lecture me for glaring at his precious little girlfriend.
Ethan stopped once he reached me. "Hey, Chubs, you alright? You look like you kinda want to kill someone," he chuckled.
"No. Not at all. I'm fine," I snapped rather harshly.
His face fell. "Look, if it's about earlier, I'm so, so sorry. I got too carried away, and I shouldn't have given you a hickey without asking," he apologized, as his blue eyes widened with guilt.
"Forgive me?" he whispered.
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, yeah. You're forgiven. It's not your fault you're stupid," I smiled.
"That was the only reason you looked upset, right?" He asked as his eyebrows furrowed in concern.
"Yeah, absolutely," I lied smoothly through my teeth.
The real reason I was upset was blatantly obvious. All these weird fuzzy feelings I got every time he laughed, touched, or even looked at me, all pointed to one thing.
I had a big fat crush on Ethan Blythe.
