CELEBRITY TODAY BRINGS YOU THE EXCLUSIVE NEWS!
Dixon Junior who went missing two weeks ago is found, facing severe charges. Citizen Weekly brings you the details about the most scandalous event in recent financial times.
"This is why I hate reading the news." commented Raul as he threw all of them into the waste basket.
"The idiot. What is he doing with his life?" said Sebastian as he clutched his hair in frustration. "The stocks and market value are going lower and lower as we speak."
If Sebastian and Raul, Jack's secretary and assistant respectively, panicked, you would know that something was very very wrong. The employees all around were very nervous. If an empire like Dixon Enterprises were to collapse it would affect the lives of thousands of people who were dependant on it. The air around the office was tense as people kept listening to the news to gather details.
The phone rang just then and Sebastian rushed to receive it.
"Hello?"
There was a long pause during which Sebastian was dangerously silent and then all hell broke loose.
"JACK! You don't call for days on end, and now you want me to fly to Thailand and fix up the legal issues? What do think I am---some kind of fairy godmother?" barked Sebastian into the poor telephone as he paced through the huge office he shared with Jack and Raul. But since Jack had gone off on a holiday, it was just Sebastian and Raul who was doing all the work in the main office.
There was another pause and Raul imagined Jack trying in vain to pacify Sebastian.
" Even listening to you try to explain yourself is giving me a headache. I don't care if you are my boss, are you insane? What the hell were you thinking seeking out and assaulting three armed men, that too in a foreign country..." continued Sebastian into the phone his voice getting angrier by the second.
Raul who was sitting at his desk chuckled. He knew Jack through and through having been his friend since their school years. Jack may have changed tremendously since then, but he still obviously reserved a soft spot for juicy fights. This conversation was getting interesting...if only he could hear both sides of it.
Oh wait, he could.
Smiling slyly, Raul lifted up the telephone at his own desk and pressed the extension code for Sebastian's desk. He then leaned back on his chair, closed his eyes as he listened.
"...can you imagine the amount of legal work that we have to get done? The lawyers are not going to have it easy. ...the media and the press have already come to know, I can't even think of ways to turn this situation around...you're on international television!"
"I'm sorry Sebastian, come on, I know you can handle this. You and I have been through so much? Remember the financial slump two years ago? We survived that didn't we?" came Jack's hopeful reply.
"That was a financial slump Jack. This is a public relations nightmare. We are going to lose so many clients. About thirty of them already called to ask if you are going to resign. They don't want to work with someone who has a criminal history."

"Sebastian, just turn up okay? Please. The situation sounds worse than it looks. I have so much evidence against the guys I fought, you'll be delighted." said Jack.
"I'm coming all right. I'm just waiting for the lawyers to get here." said Sebastian as he sat back down on his chair. "After all the hard work we've put into this company, I am not letting some drunken encounter in Thailand and a mess up with girls ruin our reputation."
"Is that what the media is saying?" sighed Jack dejectedly. "They got it all wrong. But you're coming here, you'll think of something."
"Don't blame the media. This mess is solely your fault." said Sebastian standing up again. "No company's CEO gets into bloody fights like this. If only you would tell me what you're off to do than it would be easier for me to understand you. But no, all you do is think of yourself."
"Sebastian, I acted on an impulse, and I didn't have time, I needed to save Brielle..." protested Jack weakly. Raul chuckled. Jack wasn't fighting back zealously anymore since Sebastian had already agreed to visiting Thailand.
"I haven't slept for three whole days, do you know that Jack? I've been working non-stop for days and my wife is threatening to leave me. My son thinks I look like a zombie. If I end up living alone I will kill you or worse still---quit."
Raul grinned and wondered if Sebastian was going to yell at Jack all day.
"Come on now Seb, give the guy a break, he's clearly in love and acted irrationally." said Raul as got up and placed a calming hand on Sebastian's shoulder. Big mistake. The volcano in the form of Sebastian's suppressed anger erupted.
"You think he acted irrationally? That's all you think he did?" snapped Sebastian. "If that's what you think then you're coming with me too."
"B-but what about the work here?" stuttered Raul in surprise.
"Yeah right. Like you even do any work." said Sebastian. Man he could be rude, even if he was truthful.
"Fine. I'll come with you." said Raul crossing his arms across his chest contemptuously. "Tell Jack not to worry. And for the record, I do a lot of work, I just don't stress out like you do."
"I'll talk to you later." said Sebastian to Jack as he slammed the phone back down. He turned to face Raul again. "What did you say---I stress out---I stress out!"
"Yes you do, like right now. I know how to maintain my cool and keep a clear head, unlike you. You don't really have much of a gut feeling, always over-thinking everything. The pressure would kill you if it weren't for me---HEY!" Raul ducked in time to narrowly avoid a pen -stand thrown at him.
"Dang it I missed." muttered Sebastian as he turned back to his desk to retrieve something heavier. Just then a big splash of water slammed onto his back. He spun around slowly, directing death glares at Raul.
Raul was hysterical with laughter pointing at Sebastian, holding an empty water bottle in his hand.
"You think this childish behaviour is funny?" demanded Sebastian angrily.

"Oh no I think its hilarious." said Raul winking at him. Sebastian grabbed the flower vase on the desk and emptied the contents over Raul's head so that he was soaking wet and covered in chrysanthemums.
"SEB!"
"RAUL!"
And then they resorted to kicks and punches. Both men were stuck in a brawl on the floor when there was a tap on the door and a lady peeked in.
"Is this the CEO's office?" asked the lady in a confused voice from the entrance. "Is everything okay? m representing the law firm you contacted. The four lawyers and translator you requested are here."
Sebastian stood up first, straightening his tie before helping Raul stand up too. Both men looked at one another, mutual understanding passing between them.
"Oh yes. This is the CEO's office. We were having a light moment to de-stress. Allow us 2 minutes to change and we shall be on our way." said Raul using his Portuguese accent to his advantage and shooting his sexiest smoulder at the lady among them. She blushed almost immediately.
Raul was sexy even when he didn't try, and now with the wet hair and see through formal shirt he looked almost good enough to eat. There was no doubt the lady thought the same.
The poor woman had no choice but to nod as Raul took her hand in his own and said, "Will you go out with me beautiful?"
The woman looked like she would faint as she murmured, "Y-yes."
"Good." he said sultrily coming close and speaking into her ear. "I have a request though, forget what you saw when you first came in. Lets make it our little secret."
The woman was blushing redder than the bloody Mary drink he'd had last night, and Raul knew they didn't have to worry about her spilling the beans about internal chaos at the Dixon office to the papers.
Sebastian sighed as he went into the washroom to get cleaned up first. Even though Raul was pretty much useless most of the time, he was pretty good at handling tricky situations, especially if it involved women.
***
"So that's what happened!" exclaimed Jack as he clutched his sides. He had laughed himself hoarse after listening to the tale. "I can't believe I missed this."
"I know." said Sebastian tiredly as he sat on the couch beside Jack and Raul palming his forehead. They were all at the hotel in Thailand where Jack and Brielle had originally been staying.
Arthur, the son of Jack's housekeeper, was busy playing video games in the living room. Out of all the people who had done the smart things, he had to be on the list. He'd contacted Jack, the police, the hotel, and kept himself safe throughout. Jack had big hopes for this kid.
"All the work here is finally done. All charges against you are dropped. The Jones and Kormins have been successfully arrested though the trial may take a while. But several people have volunteered to testify against them, it seems you and Brielle were not the only ones who were wronged by them. So we can finally go home." said Sebastian as he took off his spectacles and rubbed his tired eyes.
"Thank goodness." said Brielle as she, Paula and Axky sat down on the sofa a little in front of the others. "If I miss another day of college, I think I'll be kicked out of the university."
"You'll probably need a few more days off for the weddings." said Paula. "You and Jack's and then Axky and mine. You have to be my maid of honor."
"M-me?" asked Brielle.
"Yes, will you? You're my only friend here." she said with a smile. Brielle knew at that moment how much truer that smile was than the one Amanda had ever given her.
"I will if you will be my maid of honor too." said Brielle as she hugged her.
"Ah women. So emotional all the time." said Axky chuckling. " This is how it should be done. Yo Jack! I'm your best man you hear? Get ready for the most mind blowing bachelor party ever."
"Sure! Thanks man." said Jack giving him a thumbs up.
"Everyone is with someone or the other and I'm still single. " said Raul sadly. "The translator girl is very sweet, but not really my type. We broke up last night."
"Rubbish. That's because you told her you were gay." said Sebastian offhandedly.
"I didn't want to hurt her feelings." said Raul looking even sadder. "I should go and apologize to her shouldn't I?"
"Yes, but don't worry so much. One of the lawyers is hopelessly in love with her." said Sebastian.
"Ah well." sighed Raul. "How much longer till dinner? I'm starving."
"Just a minute, I'll just call Dad and see if he found Heidi and if he's okay." said Jack as he dialled a number on his cell phone.
"Hello!" came a jovial voice. "Son! You're all over the news. Everything is alright now I hope?"
"Yeah everything is under control Dad. Are you ready to go home? We can pick you up from Frankfurt on our way back."
"I'm not going back." said the older Dixon.
"What?" repeated Jack in surprise. "Why not?"
"You weren't answering your phone and we were deeply in love, it was a spur of the moment thing but Heidi and I got married last week. She has a children's school she runs and I decided to stay here with her."
"You got married." said Jack monotonously. "You got married. You got married."
"Um son did you hurt your head?"
"WHAT KIND OF A FATHER DOESN'T INVITE HIS OWN SON TO HIS WEDDING!"
"The kind who can't reach his son's phone?"
"YOU KNOW WHAT? YOU CAN MISS MY WEDDING TOO." said Jack angrily.
"Oh so you finally proposed. That means Heidi won the bet this time. I thought you'd take another week at most." said his father merrily and Jack wanted to punch him hard.
"Don't worry, we'll turn up for your ceremony. Text me the details." said Dixon Senior. "I'm so proud of you son. You and Brielle are all over the news for your bravery."
"Really Dad?"
"I promise."
They hung up and Brielle rushed over to hug and kiss Jack. She realised that people never truly grew up after all. They simply grew older, craving the same love and affection that they needed when they were younger.

Caged within the Ravencourt
A short and pain-filled life was all that Melissa was given, and it wasn't until falling asleep for the last time that she was finally given something more. Waking up in a healthy and young body, and faced with an unfamiliar culture and even more inexplicable sights, Melissa had to adapt to her life new as Kalie, the third Princess of the Shattered Isles of Cerith. It didn't take long for Kalie to realize that even though she finds herself in a strange world, she may just be one of the strangest parts of it. As Kalie comes to terms with her bizarre new life, she finds herself set in the sights of the powerful new king of a far off land. Eventually finding herself taken away to be Caged within the Ravencourt. This story is world spanning, and slow to start. It's my intention to build up towards the epic story I'm hoping to tell. Don’t expect over the top powers, just smart characters using magic interestingly. And, like my other stories, the focus is on the characters themselves, less so the world they’re in. Enjoy!

Chimera
Eleanor meant the world to Titus. So when an opportunity to bring her murderer to justice appears, Titus jumps on the chance. His quest, however, would mean traversing the dangerous world of Nivandor, a land infested with monsters, night hunters, and corrupt kings–nothing he and his lord, Lady Priscilla, couldn't handle. Their plans change, however, when both of them are dragged into a nightmare realm, a dimension filled with strange and powerful terrors unlike any they've ever faced. Titus's skill as a kinetic mage is put to the ultimate test as he must work with his lord to fight off the increasingly dangerous monsters that hunt them as they hunt down the three remaining Seraph lords sustaining the Nightmare. For only when the final Seraph lord is slain will the Nightmare truly end. --- Happy Holidays! I tried to get a chapter out this month, but there was just too much stuff to do and I got sick. There will also be more stuff to do come the month of December to the point that I don't think I will have a chance to finish the current story arc on a strong note. So, as of today, I will be going on hiatus until the holidays are over. I will hopefully return with the last few chapters of book 2 as well as the DLC chapters to help clarify Titus and Priscilla's powers as well as a look into their lives before the story gets crazy (maybe 6-7 chapters). These chapters are planned to take place in the day between Chapter 1.4 & Chapter 1.5, detailing the day they had before going to Nivandor. How the DLC chapters will be titled is to be decided. The DLC chapters will be posted here free as usual. Really excited to get a break so I can catch up on chapters. Even more excited to be able to start book 3 once the current story arc is finished. Warmly, Daniel --- Disclamer: This story is not a finished product and will be undergoing changes, sometimes significant changes, as the story develops. Think of it as an early access story where nothing is fully set in stone. If I change a part of the story that you really love, I'm sorry, but changing one part of the story will affect the other parts I try to avoid major changes, especially in older chapters, but for the newer ones there will probably be more fine tuning. As for anyone invested in the story who is not happy with the way the story is going, feel free to DM me so I can get feedback. I want to know how you guys feel about the story, what changes I can make, at what point in the story I may have lost you. But until I get specific feedback, I won't know what changes might need to be made. There are about 14 chapters left for Part 2 of Chimera, give or take. I don't have a time frame for when they will be up but know I am chipping away at the chapters as I can. Warm Regards, Daniel --- Cover art credit goes to Brosedesignz, who has an awesome selection of both premade and custom book covers at great prices on her website. She can also be found at thebookcoverdesigner.com, which is where I found my cover.

Join the MC on a journey through a fantasy world as he searches for the reason of his existences and walk on the path to his destiny. The mature tag currently only applies for the side story, which is canon and could be skipped. I probably don't intent to add mature content into the main story. This is the first time I'm writing a story and I hope that you'll all like it. Constructive criticism will be appreciated, and I'll try to post at least a chapter per week.
