•Mara's POV•

I feel like where ever I go, I'm looking behind my back and around the crowd, searching for one face.

I'm dying inside not telling Ryder about whats happening. I know that he would go mental if I did tell him though, knowing that the guy that killed his sister is now threating his mate.

But, if I want to protect everyone, then this is the way it goes. No one gets hurt, no one has to know.

I hear a knock on the door and get up off the couch to open it.

"Hey." I smile as Ryder comes in.

"Hi beautiful." He replies, kissing my temple.

"What brings you to my fine house today?" I ask as I walk into the living room, Ryder following.

"I believe we have a thirteenth birthday to plan." Ryder grins.

I clap and jump up and down, "Oh yeah! When's Finn's birthday?" I ask.

Ryder laughs at my reaction, "Tomorrow." He replies.

"Tomorrow! Have you done anything?" I gape.

He holds up his hands, "Whoa, calm down. Yeah, I've organised some stuff."

I eye him suspisicously, "Some stuff?"

"Uh, like the location." He says, rubbing the back of his neck.

I sigh, "That's all?"

He nods, "I can't think of anything! I need your help."

I grin, "You asked the right person. Now, where is it?" I ask.

"In the backyard of the pack house." Ryder replies.

"Where my ceremony was?" I think.

"Yep, that's the one." He replies.

"I thought I saw a pool there, is that right?" I ask.

He nods, "Yeah."

"Okay," I start, getting into full party planning mode, Ryder grabs a pen and paper, "The main event will be a pool party. We'll order pizza and get some people to bring some food, we should invite all of Finn's friends and even some of the pack. That way, it'll be awesome." I say.

Ryder nods and grins.

"When it gets dark, we should have a massive game of spotlight." I smile.

"Spotlight?" Ryder asks.

I gape at him, "You don't know what spotlight is?"

He laughs, "No."

I sigh and roll my eyes, "Okay, well you play it outside in the dark. One person is 'it' and they have a torch, everyone goes and hides while the person 'it' counts to twenty. Then, they have to go find everyone." I explain.

"So, it's like hide-and-seek but outside and in the dark?" Ryder asks.

I nod, "But, the person only has a torch for light."

Ryder smirks, "Sounds great."

I laugh, "I know you're going to use my scent against me."

"Maybe." Ryder says.

I roll my eyes and look at what Ryder's written down.

"Okay, when I said 'some of the pack' I didn't mean 'the whole pack'" I say as I read what Ryder's written down.

Ryder shrugs, "Finn has Alpha blood, the whole pack should be invited. But, only Finn's friends and some of us will stay for spotlight."

I nod, "Sounds good."

"So, what now?" Ryder asks.

I stand up from the couch, "I need to grab my girls and we need to decorate."

"Finn lives at the pack house." Ryder says.

I think for a second, "Well, then ask him to stay at your house for tonight, and keep him from the pack house until tomorrow." I reply.

Ryder nods, "Cool."

"Mandy, I need help." I mind-link Mandy.

"What's up girl?" She replies.

"We need to decorate the pack house backyard for Finn's birthday tomorrow." I say, as I pull Ryder outside.

"Awesome! I'll get Layla and some other girls and I'll meet you at the pack house. We'll pick up some supplies on the way there." She replies.

"Great! See you then." I say.

I see Ryder motorcyle and smile at him.

"You want a lift?" He asks with amusement.

I bite my lip and nod.

Ryder pulls my lip out from my teeth, "Don't do that." He says and walks over to his bike.

"Why?" I ask, I grab the other helmet and Ryder helps secure it on my head.

I get on and wrap my arms around him, he starts the bike and I don't think he's going to reply.

"Because you look incredibly sexy doing it." He replies.

I giggle and watch as objects blur as we pass them.

•Ryder's POV•

I park out the front of the pack house and Mara gets off. She hands me the helmet and I put it in the compartment in the back of the bike.

I grab her hand as we walk to the front door, I just walk in since it's always unlocked and everyone's welcome here.

My mum, Taliah walks in and smiles.

"Ryder, Mara, what are you kids going here?" She asks as she kisses me and Mara's cheeks.

Mara leans in close to mum and lowers her voice a little, "We have a birthday to plan."

Mum smiles and motions to upstairs, meaning that Finn is there.

I raise my voice a little so Finn will be able to hear, "Well, I thought maybe Finn would want to stay with me at my house tonight?"

Soon, we hear footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Well, I don't know." Mum says playfully.

"Mum! Come on! I never get to go to Ryder's house, and it's my birthday tomorrow!" Finn whines.

Mum gives me a smile, "Of course you can Finn."

Finn fist pumps and high-fives me.

"Are you gonna' be there Mara?" Finn asks.

She looks to me and I answer for her, "Yeah, she'll definitely be there."

"But I won't be there until later. I have some stuff to do." She says.

"What kind of stuff?" Finn asks.

"You know, boring Luna stuff." She rolls her eyes, she should be an actress.

Finn nods, "Yeah, sounds fun." He says sarcasically.

She laughs, "Go on and pack your bag, you're leaving soon."

He nods and leaps up the stairs, "Pack a backpack!" I yell.

"Are we taking the bike?" He yells back.

"Yeah!" I reply.

The rest of the way to his room I hear Indian calls.

I laugh and shake my head.

The front door opens and Mandy, Layla and a few of the other female werewolves come through.

"Alright, quick go to the backyard before Finn comes back down." Mara says and ushers them to the backyard.

Before she goes I pull her to me and give her a quick kiss, "See you at my house."

She grins, "I love you."

Caleb jumps around when she says that, "I love you too."

She winks at me before she goes around the corner.

"She's really something, isn't she?" Mum asks from behind me.

I turn around, "You're really asking me that?"

She laughs, "Good point."

I smile, "But, to answer your question, she's pretty amazing."

She punches my arm playfully, "Come on, lover boy, lets see if your brother is ready yet."

As if on cue, Finn comes bounding down the stairs with his backpack slung lazily over one shoulder.

I pat his shoulder, "All good?"

He smiles, "You bet."

I hug mum, "See ya, mum."

Mum kisses both of us, "Goodbye boys, don't have too much fun." She says.

We just laugh and walk to my bike, "Hey guys, meet at my house? We have a thirteen year old to entertain." I mind-link Josh and Trent.

"You bet." Josh replies.

"Be there soon." Trent says.

"Who are you mind-linking?" Finn asks.

I narrow my eyes, "How did you know I was mind-linking?" I ask.

He shrugs, "You zoned out, I guessed."

I roll my eyes, "Well, I mind-linked Trent and Josh to come meet me at my house."

Finn grins, "Awesome."

When we get to my house, Trent and Josh are leaning against their bikes talking.

"Hey guys." I nod as we approach.

They nod and grin at Finn.

"He's like a young replica of you, Ryder." Josh says as we walk up to the front door.

"Yeah, except with blonde hair." Trent adds.

I ruffle Finn's hair and he swats my hand away.

"And he has your stubborness too." Trent rolls his eyes.

"Hey!" Finn and I say together.

Josh and Trent snicker.

"Actually, we inherited that from our dad." I say, Finn nods in agreement.

We enter the house Finn goes and puts his bag in the guest room.

I spot some Nerf Guns I have and chuck one to the guys each, "Let's get him." I grin.

The guys smirk and we take our positions.

When Finn comes down the stairs, we fire.

He must spot the other two spare guns, because he quickly runs to them, getting hit many times I'll add, and grabs one.

"Oh, this is so on." He grins.

•Mara's POV•

About four hours later, we have finished decorating and we are all making sure everything is ready.

"It looks great!" Mandy says.

We have covered surrounding trees in streamers and spray painted the grass different colours, causing the whole area to be filled with colour.

We've set up speakers, which will play music from Mandy's iPod, and we have a large table that will be full of food.

"Great, well I better go. Party starts at eleven tomorrow, see you guys then." I say.

I hear 'Bye Luna' go around and a 'Bye Mara!" from Mandy and Layla.

I giggle and hop in Mandy's car, which she let me use because I came with Ryder this afternoon.

"I'm leaving the pack house now, see you soon." I say to Ryder.

"Alright, can't wait." He replies.

I smile and shake my head, turning on Mandy's car and pulling out. When I get to Ryder's house, it's about six o'clock and the sun is starting to descend.

I notice that the house is strangly quiet. I thought with four boys filling it, I would be able to hear them from a mile away.

I shrug it off and knock on the door, when I make contact with it, it creaks open a little.

"Ryder? Guys?" I ask, as I push it open a little.

I can smell them, they're obviously here.

I hear a small shuffle, "I know you're here." I say as I close the door.

"Attack!" Ryder yells.

Suddenly, I see four Nerf Guns pointed out me.

When I hear them go off, my tiger insticts take over and I duck, going into a commando roll behind the dinning table.

I smile when I didn't get hit.

"What? That's unfair!" Josh whines.

"We'll get you Luna." I hear Finn say.

"Keep telling yourself that boys." I laugh.

There's a bang on the table and I look up to see Ryder on top of it, smirking at me. He is about to shoot when I quickly jump up and push the gun to the roof, so that he shoots the roof instead.

I smirk but then I feel a gust of air go past me and see Josh shooting. I need a gun too, and that's when I see it, a Nerf Gun sitting by itself on the kitchen counter.

I make a run for it, but I stop when Trent and Finn jump out in front of me. I feel the presences of two people behind me and see I'm being surrounded.

I hold up my hands.

"Huh, we got you now Luna." Finn smirks.

"Go ahead," I shrug, "Shoot."

Trent and Finn look at each other, grinning.

"On three." Trent smiles innocently.

"One."

Suddenly an idea pops into my head.

"Two."

I smirk at the two boys in front of me.

"Three!"

When they're just about to shoot, I duck down. I hear groans and nearly laugh when I realise they all hit each other.

This is gold.

But I don't waste time, I run past Trent and Finn, and grab the last Nerf Gun.

"You guys suck at this." I smile.

I hit all of them and smile sweetly.

"And that is how it's done."

"How?" Josh groans.

I shrug, "Being a tiger shifter helps with my aglility."

I hear a gasp and freeze when I realise Finn is here.

"What?" He asks.

I look to Ryder, we both have wide eyes.

I sigh, I guess it's okay for Finn to know.

"I can shift into a tiger Finn." I admit.

"But, that's not possible." He replies.

"I guess I'll just have to show you." I reply.

I jump and shift into my tiger form, I look to Finn who has wide eyes.

He looks to Ryder who nods.

He steps forward and reaches out, patting my big tiger head.

"You're the 'Monster Tiger' right?" He asks.

I nod my head.

Finn looks to Ryder, "They're not going to find her right?" He asks.

Ryder shakes his head, "No way, not on my watch." He replies.

Finn nods, "Good."

I step back and shift into my human form.

"You can't tell anyone Finn. The less people that know, the better." I tell him.

He nods, "Your secret is safe with me."

I hug him, "Thank you."

He smiles when I release him, "I think that's so cool."

I laugh, "Me too. Now, I'll make dinner." I say.

The guys nods and go back into the living room.

I smile to myself.

Who knew I was that ninja?

Hello!

Sorry I didn't update yesterday, but I was really busy.

I just bought the second season of Revenge because I missed watching it last year. The third season airs on Monday and I need to finish it before then!
