Laura pov.

The day of the eclipse

Today is the day. Today is the eclipse. The day I am going to be fighting with Derek. Just a few hours left.

After the fire Ross has been on the edge. He put guards everywhere. Wherever you go there will be guards. He even put guards to protect me when he is not around witch happens really rarely because he doesn't leave my side.

Not only Ross but everyone else is one the edge too. Parents are running around trying to put their children in safe places. Guards are running around preparing for the war. Everyone is just running around.

As I walk around the pack house to check if everything is okay I see mothers hugging their children and saying that everything is going to be okay and that they will be back soon or mates hugging each other knowing that one of them may or may not come back.

That just makes me feel more guilty because I know that this is all happening because of me. If I just wouldn't have come here they would be okay. They wouldn't have to worry about their safety and their children's safety or their mates.

Ross keeps on telling me that this is not my fault but I just keep on ignoring him. I know that this all is not my fault that Derek is to blame also but if I would be a rogue no one would get hurt. It would be just me and him. No one else.

I sometimes think of running away but I know that Derek will send rogues here to attack my pack and I have to protect them as much as I can. That's the motive that keeps me here. The pack, my friends and Ross.

Derek hasn't made a move also. It has been quiet ever since the fire at the woman's house whose name I learned later was Anne and the little boys name was Riky.

I know that he is preparing also but I just think it's too quiet. Something isn't right.

''Laura? Are you alright?'' Oliver asked me worried. I looked at him and smiled. I need to be calm. I need to show people around me that I am calm. That I think everything is going to be okay. But inside I'm breaking.

''Yeah I'm fine.'' I answered and he gave me a little smile back, ''I'm going to talk to Amos. I need to ask him somethings.''

''Okay. I'm coming with you.'' he answered and I nodded and stood up. I walked up stairs to Amos room with Oliver following behind me. I knocked on his door and waited for an answer. When I heard I quiet ''yes'' I walked in. Oliver also walked in but he stood next to the doors.

''Hey Amos.'' I said and gave him a little smile.

''Hello Laura.'' Amos answered and looked up from his book, ''May I help you?''

''I was just wondering have you found anything new that could help us? Or maybe know if Derek is up to something?'' I asked as I went closer to him.

''No, I was just reading this book to look for something that may or may not be useful for you.'' Amos said and gave me a little smile but I could see worry in his eyes. Amos has been training my powers everyday now and I have learned a lot.

''Oh.'' I said, ''Have you found anything?''

''Not something that you already know.'' he answered.

''Okay,'' I said and sat down on his bed, ''Is everything okay?''

''What do you mean Laura?'' Amos asked confused.

''You looked worried. Is there something that I should know?'' I asked him.

''Well there is something that I found.'' Amos said and looked at the book.

''What is it?'' I asked him now worried.

''See these pages?'' Amos asked me and I looked closely but I couldn't see anything, ''A page has been ripped out of this book.''

''What?'' I asked him shocked, ''someone ripped out a page of that book?''

''Yes.'' he answered.

''Do you know what was in that page?'' Oliver asked. Amos looked at Oliver but shook his head.

''I don't remember but I do think that there were some spell there.'' Amos answered to Oliver.

''What spell?'' I asked him worried.

''That I don't know.'' Amos answered, ''But if that spell goes into the wrong hands then something can go wrong.''

''What do you mean something can go wrong? What is that something?'' I asked him even more worried now.

''This part of the book holds a lot of secrets and spells about The White Wolves. And I am 99% sure that this spell that has been taken from this book has to do something with The White Wolves.'' Amos said and I looked at him.

''Do you...do you think that maybe Derek took it?'' I asked him scared. He looked at me but didn't answer. And he didn't have to. That look told me everything I had to know.

After the talk with Amos me and Oliver went back to Ross's office because Ross was calling for me.

After talking about the book I asked Amos if he knew where the attack would be. I told him that the attack would happen at the place where everything started but I don't know what that place is and so didn't Amos. I thanked him and walked away.

I just couldn't believe that maybe Derek took the page. What if in that page there was something important. Something that could kill me easily. I just pushed that thought away and walked to Ross's office.

While getting closer to his office I started to smell his scent and smiled. I knew that he would calm me down right now. He would make the worry go away for a few minutes and that's all I needed right now.

I opened his door and walked in. He was sitting in his chair talking to James, Aiden, Luke, my dad and my brother. When he saw me walk in he gave me a weak smile and I practically ran to his lap.

''Are you okay?'' he asked me worried and pulled me close. I just nodded. That wasn't enough for him. He turned towards Oliver and asked him, ''Is everything okay? Did something happen to her?''

''Don't say anything about Amos.'' I said to him with my Luna voice in the mind link. I knew that if he wouldn't tell Ross something out loud Ross would ask Oliver in their mind linked in his Alpha voice so I had to use mine.

''No Alpha, everything is fine. Nothing happened.'' Oliver answered and bowed.

Ross looked at him but later nodded and said that he could go. Oliver bowed again and walked out of the office.

''Thank you Oliver.'' I said to him in the mind link.

''No problem Luna.'' Oliver answered.

''Don't call me that.'' I said to him and almost growled but I masked it with a cough so Ross wouldn't ask me why I growled.

''Okay Laura.'' Oliver answered with a laugh. I don't like when my friends call me Luna. It just doesn't seem right. And Oliver has become a really close friend to me.

''So what where you guys talking about?'' I asked them to start the conversation.

''Just about the war'' Ross replied but before I could ask him if I should know something I screamed. Something was happening to me, in my head but I didn't know what. I felt someone trying to open my mind link and it hurt like hell.

Opening mind link has never hurt this bad. The person on the other side was trying really hard. I screamed again and fell on my knees holding my head. I felt arms go around me and they were holding me. My head felt like it was being pulled in every direction possible. It was so painful.

I screamed again and heard someone screaming next to me. The pain was so bad. I think I was crying but I didn't know. The only thing I felt was the pain. The pain that didn't go away but just became more and more painful.

''Make it stop!'' I yelled, ''Make it stop! Please!''

''What is happening?'' I heard Ross yell, ''Baby hold on. Help is coming.'' I felt him say next to me but I just continued to scream. I can't take it no more. It's too much.

And then I felt something pop in my head. I felt someone. Someone made it through the barrier in my mind. That someone was in my mind.

''Hello Laura.'' Derek said and I could just feel him smile. I growled and screamed again. He have made it through the barrier but the pain was still there.

''I hope you are prepared because I am coming.'' Derek said again, ''You won't even see it.'' he laughed I just growled.

''What's the matter? Is something wrong? Does your head hurt?'' he asked me laughing and I just growled again not able to answer him.

''Did you get the book? I hope you did. It can be useful. It was for me.'' He said and laughed.

''You...You t-took the book?'' I asked with all my strength that I could get. It still sounded so week.

''How else would I have made it into your mind.'' he said and again laughed. I growled confused. He did it yesterday. Why did he need a spell know?

''Oh that was easy. In that page there were 2 spells. One with no pain and one with pain. Do you really think I would have tried only the one spell with no pain? I wanted to know how they both worked.'' he laughed.

''You bastard!'' I growled and screamed. The pain was getting worse. I could just feel Ross's pull me closer with every scream that came out of my mouth.

''Now, now Laura. Don't use that kind of words with me darling.'' He smirked. I growled again like I did before. I am going to kill that son of a bitch.

''I hope you are ready. You only have two hours left. Wouldn't want to waste them now would you?'' he laughed, ''See you later Laura, say bye to your loved ones.''

And with that he disappeared taking the pain with him.

''Laura? Are you okay?'' I heard Ross ask me. I took a deep breath and put my head against his chest. He was on his knees just like I was, ''What happened?''

I took one last deep breath and opened my eyes. There stood my friends, my family, my pack all looking worried as they were looking at me. Some were crying, some were holding others who were crying. Tears came to my eyes when I saw them. I couldn't lose them and I won't. That bastard will die.

''Laura?'' I heard Ross ask me. I looked up and saw his eyes. He was looking at me with worry filled eyes. I put my hand against his cheek and he leaned into it. I smiled a sad smile and hugged him. I won't lose him. I won't.

''Is everything okay?'' I heard my mom ask. I just nodded against Ross shoulder and felt him pull me closer. I didn't want to let him go.

''What happened to you?'' Emma asked me. I pulled away from Ross just a little so I could see her. She was crying. I gave her a weak smile but ignored the question.

I looked around the room and saw Amos. He was looking at me worried. I knew what he was thinking. He knew it. I nodded to him to confirm it. He nodded back understanding what just happened.

''Laura?'' Ross asked me and I looked at him, ''What's happening? What are you not telling me?''

I couldn't talk. It was too hard for me to do it and Amos knew that so he did it for me, ''Derek used the spell''.

And all hell broke loose.
