Laura pov.

''Hey guys have you finished with the papers?'' James asked when he and Aiden walked in the office.

''Does it look like it?'' Ross mumbled. I rolled my eyes at him and looked at James and Aiden.

''We're getting there. We would be already done if-'' I looked towards smirking Ross, ''Your Alpha here would have not wasted our time.''

''Excuse me! It was not waste of time!'' Ross said smirking. If it would be possible his smirk grew bigger, ''In fact you were the one saying 'Don't stop! Don't stop!' ''

I looked down with a blush while Ross just laughed. Aiden cleared his throat and we looked at him.

''Can we please change the subject?'' he asked and I immediately nodded which made Ross laugh even more.

''What did you guys want anyway?'' Ross asked them.

''We came here to talk to you about the packs safety.'' James said and sat down next to me, while Aiden continued to stand.

''Yeah we need to think of the security around the land. People are scared for their families. Their scared that something will happen to them.'' Aiden said and James nodded.

''I know.'' Ross started, ''My dad told me. I also felt fear in the packs link.''

''We need think of a plan.'' I said, ''We need to double up the security around the land and the border. Also you need to train the packs worriers.''

''We're already training them.'' Ross answered.

''I know. But you need to start to train them more. Derek is going to send more powerful rogues to us as the time comes closer to the war.'' I said and James nodded.

''She's right. Derek wants us to be weaker so he would win. He will sent more rogues. We need to keep our worriers in shape.'' James said.

''I also got to ask.'' I said to Ross, ''Do you let females fight?''

''No, the only ones who fight in our pack are the men.'' Ross said.

''Well you need to let the girls fight as well.'' I said.

''Girls don't know how to fight. They not as strong or fast as men.'' Ross said. I growled at him.

''That's because you don't let us train! Females are strong! Were the same as men! Just because we are smaller and not as strong as men doesn't mean we are weak! We are smarter then you guys!'' I said to him, growling.

''Females aren't meant to fight in wars!'' Ross growled back.

''And who told you that? Your best friend the pillow?!'' I asked/yelled at him. Next to me James and Aiden chuckled, '' Females have fought in wars for years! Have you ever thought that some girls are just like boys? That some of us like to fight? And not make food or clean the house!''

''She's right man.'' James said next to me. Ross turned his head and glared at James. James gulped and looked at me for help. The look on Ross's face would scare anyone away.

''Let the women decide if they want to fight or not. Those who want, let them train, but those who don't, let them do what they do now.'' I said glaring right back at Ross.

Ross kept glaring at me, but didn't say anything. I know he was thinking of something to say back so the girls wouldn't fight.

''Ross listen to Laura. She's right. Let the girls fight.'' James said and Aiden nodded. But still Ross didn't say anything.

''You don't want females to fight because you think the other packs would see you as a weak alpha, don't you?'' I ask him. He didn't say anything, but his glare vanished, ''You do.''

''No I-'' Ross started, but I raised my hand to stop him from speaking forward.

''No, I understand. You see women as weak people. You think you will look weaker if you have females as your worriers. You think females are weak. So you think I'm weak as well. I get it.'' I said.

''No Laura that's not what I think!'' Ross said but I ignored him and turned to look at James and Aiden.

''Anything else we need to discuss?'' I asked him.

''No I think.'' James said, ''Mark asked if you two are going to visit the families that lost their loved ones in the attacks?''

''Yes we will. Anything else?'' I asked and he shook his head, ''Okay then I am going to go take a walk around the pack.''

Standing up I walked to the door. Just when I opened It Ross asked.

''When are you going to be back?''

Not even looking at him I answered, ''Later'' and opened the door, walking out.

I walked outside and shifted. I ran to the one place that's makes me feel calm. The ocean.

While running to the ocean I let my wolf take control. She ran around jokingly. Jumped over small branches and ran around trees. It was nice to be able to run in the woods again. No matter how long I haven't been in the woods I will always miss it.

When I reached the ocean I shifted and jumped right in. Some fishes swam away scared. I smiled and started to swim forward. Looking around I tried to find Bubbles. I have missed him so much.

About five minutes later I was still looking for him, but out of nowhere something swam right into me, scaring me. Looking behind me I smiled.

''Hey Bubbles!'' I said with a big smile and giggled when Bubbles made a back flip. He made his dolphin noise and swam around me.

''Missed me?'' I asked and laughed when he nodded with his head, ''I missed you to boy.''

''Want to play a game?'' I asked and he nodded, swimming around me, ''Okay....you're it!'' I yelled and swam away as fast as I could, him following behind me.

''Bye Bubbles! See you later!'' I said swimming away.

Me and Bubbles played the game for a whole hour I think. Or longer...I don't know. We just couldn't stop. I love Bubbles and our games. His like my best friend. I know I can always count on him to make my day happier.

When I reached the shore, I shifted and sat down looking at the sunset. I didn't know I was away for that long. When I came here the sun was still up and now it was the sunset already.

''Well, well, well. Look who we have here?'' someone asked from behind me, ''Came back from your trip?''

''Derek.'' I growled and turned around.

''Well hello to you to Laura.'' Derek said with a smile, ''Why did you come back so early from the trip? Did something happen to the pack? I hope nothing serious.''

''Stop joking around Derek! What are you doing here?'' I growled at him.

''What? Can't I come and visit an old friend?'' Derek asked with a smirk.

''What do you want!'' I growled at him. I swear I will kill him if he won't leave my land soon!

''Oh you know exactly what I want!'' Derek yelled at me, his smirk and jokes long gone.

''Well you aren't getting it!'' I yelled back.

''Those powers are mine!'' he yelled.

''No their not! Now get you fucking ass out of my land!'' I yelled at him and he growled.

''Those powers are mine Laura! I will get them back and become the most powerful and dangerous man alive! And when I do I will kill you and your stupid little friends and family!'' Derek growled.

''Like that would ever happen! These are my powers and I will never, do you hear me, never give them too you!'' I yelled at him.

''Will see Laura, will see.'' Derek growled, ''You will be dead! I will kill you with my bare hands when the time is right! Remember, I will be back and the next time we see each other you will be dead!''

With that said Derek raised his hands up and disappeared.

Ross pov.

''That was not cool man.'' James said.

''Don't you think I know that?'' I asked him growling.

''Hey calm down man! Everything is going to be fine. She's probably at the ocean. You know she always goes there when she need to be alone.'' Aiden said.

''I know, I just. I hurt her too much. She's too good for me. I don't deserve a girl like her. She always knows what to do and I just lose control and destroy everything.'' I said sitting down on the chair behind the desk.

It has been four hours from the moment Laura walked out that door. She hasn't come back yet. I asked the guards to look for her, but no one has found her yet or seen her.

After she left I asked the guys to arrange a meeting tomorrow for the whole pack. I have to tell them about the news on Derek and the security.

I also thought about what Laura said. She was right. I did think, I still think, that having females as worriers will make me look weak. But I will let them if they want. If that will make Laura forgive me I will do it.

She has to know that I don't think she's weak. She's the strongest person alive! She is strong in both ways and she needs to know that.

''You are good for her. You just make a lot of mistakes. No one is perfect. Laura understands that. She loves you. That's all you need to know to prove yourself that you make her happy and that you two are meant for each other.'' James said.

''Than-'' I was about to say, but the door flew open.

''Double the security at the border now! Tell everyone who can't fight to go in to their houses! It's dangerous outside right now!'' Laura said running in, out of breath.

''What's wrong?'' I asked her, worried.

''Derek was here.'' she said and I growled.

''What? How did he get here? The guards would have known if he crossed the border!'' I growled out, while James and Aiden mind linked the pack and told them what to do.

''He used magic!'' Laura said with a growl.

''What did he say?'' I asked her with a growl

''That's not important right now. You need to worry about the pack right now.'' Laura said, but I shook my head.

''What did he say?'' I asked slowly, still growling.

''He knew we were gone. He also said that he wants my powers and will kill everybody I know to get it.'' she said and I continued to growl.

''Anything else?'' I asked.

''He said...he said that the next time he sees me.... he will kill me.'' and after that sentence I shifted and jumped out of the window.
