Laura pov.

I woke up, by someone saying my name.

''Hey sleeping beauty, we are almost at your house.'' Emma said and I opened my eyes.

''Do you have a mirror?'' I asked her.

''Yes'' she said and took the mirror from her purse. I looked in the mirror and gasped. My eyes were red and puffy from crying. My hair was a mess. I looked at Emma.

''Can you help me? My parents can't see me like this!'' I said and she gave me smile and nodded.

''Of course I can help you, you know I have emergency make-up with me everytime!'' she said and I smiled. Emma carried make-up everywhere where she went. She was obsessed with make-up!

''Thank you'' I said and she took her make-up and fixed me. I looked in the mirror again and I gasped. She did it! I looked like I always do. My eyes weren't red and puffy anymore, my hair was fixed.

''Thank you'' I said and pulled her into a hug. She smiled and hugged me back.

''You know I would do anything for you'' she said and I pulled away.

The car stopped and I looked outside. It was my house. We finally arrived at my house. I jumped out and so did Emma and James.

''Can we visit your parents to? I haven't seen them like forever!'' Emma asked.

''Of course.'' I said and went to James to take my bag, but he pulled the bag behind him.

''Hey!'' I said and tried to grab the bag, but he stepped back.

''No, I'm going to carry it for you'' he said.

''You don't have to do that. I can do that myself.'' I said, but he shook his head.

''No, I'm going to do it.'' He said and I nodded.

''Fine'' I said and we walked to my house. I rang the doorbell and my mom shouted in the house.

''Jackson, go and open the door!!''

''I can't!!'' he yelled back.

''Why!?!'' my mom asked, yelling.

''Because I'm watching the TV!!'' Jackson yelled back. I rang the doorbell again, while giggling.

''Go open the door, or you will have to clean the pack house's toilets!!'' my mom yelled and I giggled again.

''I told you your family was the best'' Emma whispered.

"Fine" Jack growled and I could hear him standing up and walking over to the door.

The door opened and there stood my brother, with big eyes, looking at me.

"I'm back!"I said with a smile.

''Laura?'' he asked, shocked.

''Yup, that's me!'' I said and the next thing he did was pull me into a hug.

''Your back!'' he said happy, ''Mom she is back!''

''Who is back, Jac-'' she said and walked out, but stopped when she saw me. She ran to me and pulled me into a big hug.

''You're finally back!'' mom whispered.

''Yes I'm back for a week or maybe even longer'' I said and my mom pulled away.

''So long?'' she asked and I nodded, ''Is Ross with you?''

''No'' I said and looked down.

''But why did he let you go for so long'' she asked me confused.

''I just don't want to see him for few days...'' I answered her.

''What happened?'' she asked worried and Jack growled, "Sweetie?'' my mom asked.

''I don't want to talk about it right now'' I said and she nodded.

''Well? What are you waiting for? Come in.'' She said and I smiled and we walked in.

''Hey, Emma!'' Mom said and pulled her into a hug.

''Hey, Ava'' Emma said and pulled away.

''How are you?'' Mom asked.

''I'm good, and you?'' Emma asked.

''Better when Laura is back.'' Mom said.

They smiled and walked to the living room where we sat down. James came in and sat down on the couch in front of me and my mom, where Emma was sitting. Jack came and sat next to me.

''So what happened?'' mom asked.

''Well...'' I started, ''Long story short...we had a fight with rogues and our guards captured one. We went to question the rogue and turned out that the rogue was Janes mate but Ross didn't approve and didn't let him go.''

''And?'' Jack asked.

"Jane was crying and Ross still wasn't letting Harry go.'' I continued.

''Oh my...'' mom said.

''I told him to let him go that he was his sisters mate, but still he didn't let him go. I yelled at him and asked him how would he feel if we would be in their place, but still... he didn't. I went over to Jane, hugged her and started to cry. Emma came and hugged us too and started to cry as well. I heard whining and looked back. Harry was whimpering in the chamber, because he couldn't hold his mate. James was looking at Emma and us with sad eyes, because Emma was crying and me and Jane too were crying. Ross was whimpering to. Jane was crying her eyes out. I yelled at him for what he did, that this was his fault and he finally let Harry go.'' I finished.

''Oh poor Jane'' Mom said.

''Yeah, but the good thing is that she is happy now with Harry'' I said and my mom nodded, with a smile.

''Hey guys I would love to stay longer, but I want to go see my parents'' Emma said and I looked at her.

''Okay'' I said and we stood up, ''See you later''

She and James walked out and I shut the door closed. I walked back in the living room and sat down.

''So...where is dad?'' I asked.

''He is town shopping for groceries.'' Mom said and I nodded.

''So...'' Jack started, ''My little sister has powers huh?''

''Yup'' I said, proud of myself.

''I don't believe you'' Jack said with a smirk.

''Oh really?'' I asked and he nodded. I raised my hands up, in front of me and concentrated on the hands. Fire started to appear on my hands and Jack gasped, shocked. I made the fire a litter bigger and smirked, when I saw Jack's face. I moved my hand so that the fire was flying around Jack's head.

''Believe me now?'' I asked him. He slowly nodded, never taking his eyes away from the fire. I giggled and made the fire disappear.

''Wow'' Jack said. I smiled. ''My litter sister does have powers...But still I'm stronger than you.'' Jack said smirking.

''You want to bet?'' I asked him. Before he could say something, the door opened and dad yelled.

''I'm home''

''Daddy'' I yelled and stood up and ran to him. When he saw me he quickly put the bags down and hugged me.

''Your back!'' Dad said happy.

''Yes'' I said and pulled away.

''What are you doing back?'' he asked.

''What? Can't your daughter come and visit her family?'' I asked, acting hurt.

''No of course you can.'' he asked and smiled, "For how long?"

''I came her alone for a week'' I answered and he smiled but then looked around the room for something.

''Where is Ross? Why didn't Ross come with you?'' dad asked me confused.

''He...'' I started, but didn't want to continue.

''What did he do? Did he hurt my little girl?'' dad asked and started to get angry,'' That little pup will-''

''David!'' mom yelled from the kitchen, ''Laura doesn't want to talk about it! She will tell you later! And now bring me the food!''

''Okay'' he yelled back and picked up the bags, ''I'm sorry sweetheart''

''No it's okay, maybe mom can tell you.'' I said and he nodded. He walked in the kitchen. I turned around and looked at Jack.

''So how are you doing?'' I asked him, ''Found a mate?''

''No, still haven't found her. She must be in another pack'' he said.

''Maybe'' I said, ''I'm going to go to my room to sleep.''

He nodded and I picked up my bag and walked upstairs to my old room. I opened the door and walked in. Nothing has changed. The same old room.

I put the bag on the floor and went to change. I put on some shorts and a top. I went to my bed and jumped in.

Ross pov.

I looked at the car as it drove away, taking my mate with it. I was about to cry, but I stopped the tears. Alphas don't cry.

I walked back in the house and my mom walked up to me, ''What did you do?'' she asked mad. I looked down, regretting everything I did today.

I kept quiet. I didn't talk and that made my mom even angrier.

''What did you do that made your mate leave?!''she yelled angry.

''I...'' I started, but didn't continue.

''I tell you what he did, that made Laura leave'' Jane said while she was walking down the stairs. I looked up at her with sorry in my eyes. She just glared at me and looked at mom. Dad came out of the kitchen and looked at us confused.

''He didn't let Harry free, when he knew that he was my mate. Harry was banging at the door, yelling to let him free so he could hold me and I was crying my eyes out! Laura kept yelling at him to let Harry go, because we were mates, but he still didn't let him go. The three of us were crying, Harry was begging to be let free so he could calm me down and hold me and James was looking at his mate with sadness in his eyes. Finally Laura turned around and yelled at Ross for what he did. He looked at us and finally let Harry go.'' Jane explained.

''Ross Shor Lynch!'' my mom yelled, ''How could you do this to your sister!''

''I wanted to protect her.'' I growled at them.

''By hurting her feelings?'' Mom asked, yelling.

''You disappointed us son.'' dad said shaking his head.

''And not just us, but your mate as well'' mom said.

''I...'' I started, but didn't know what to say, ''I'm sorry Jane.''

After saying that I walked upstairs to my room with my head down. I opened the door of my bedroom and walked to my bed. I laid down on the bed and thought of what happened today.

My sister is mad at me and probably will stop talking to me. My parents are disappointed at me for what I did. My best friend is mad at me for making his mate cry and go away for two days. And the most important thing in my life just went away from me, because she didn't want to see me.

By trying to protect my sister I made her angry, my best friend not talking to me and my mate going away. By trying to do good, bad happened. The world is upside down.

I have to get Laura back. I can't live with her not by my side. I will find her and try to ask her to forgive me, but first I will give her some time alone. Now what I have to do is ask my sister for forgiveness and then I will try to ask Laura for forgiveness and try to get her back.
