Daniel's POV(After dinner)
Where the hell is Hannah?!
I stormed around the mansion looking for Hannah. I looked in her room and made sure that the door separating our rooms was not locked. I checked her bathroom for her, but she was not there. I checked my room for the third time and ran down the stairs. I had checked the dining room, the living room, and even the kitchen. I got to the bottom of the stairs and looked around to see her standing outside the balcony.
I walked to her fast but slowed my pace when she stood in front of someone. " Have you finished paying for the loan?" A familiar voice sounded. Hannah shook her head fast. " And why have you not?" The voice asked. I couldn't comprehend what was going on. I also knew that I should not be eavesdropping. But I needed to know what was going on. " I...uh, my salary i...is not m...much. I...it will take a f...few more years," Hannah replied.
To my surprise, Hannah's brother, Dylan, stood up towering over her. " Then how do you expect me to behave like a brother to you?" He asked, walking close to her. My eyes widened. Hannah's brother doesn't behave like a brother to Hannah? But to my surprise, Hannah replied, " No, I do not want you to behave as my brother," her head held high. Her brother crossed his arms and asked, " Why? You realized that I was not going to act like one even if you pay for my loan?" His loan, what the hell is going on?!
" Brother, I knew that since the first day. I knew that even if I paid for your loan, you would never even try to be a brother to me." Hannah's voice had an effect on her brother. He stiffened visibly and fisted his palms to his side. " So you are going to stop paying for my loan? You are going to go to Mom and tell on me?!" He shouted. I was about to intervene, but Hannah's response caught me off guard.

" No Brother, even though I was born accidentally into 'our' family, I am nothing like the three of you. Do not worry, I will continue to pay for your loan and will not tell on you. And it is not like they will believe me right, Brother?" Accidentally?! How the hell have they been treating her?! " Mind your words, Hannah! If you do not, you will lose the three of us entirely!" I fisted my palm, readying my hand to punch him in the face.
" Oh ,brother! I had lost the three of you a long time ago. Because if you were my family, you would have known when I was-" She stopped. " When you were what?" I asked, my question happening to be at the same time as her brother asked. Hannah turned around slowly, her eyes widening. " How long have you been here?!" Her brother shouted. I shot him an angry look and replied, " I've been here for long enough. When you were what, Hannah?". I shifted my eyes to Hannah. " N...nothing," she stuttered.
" Yes, Hannah. Finish your sentence. When you were what?" Her brother pressed, inching closer towards her. I moved closer to her, hoping it wasn't something bad. " N...nothing, really. J...just forget I s...said anything." She stuttered once more. Her eyes darted everywhere, except us. She was about to dash to the door, but I held onto her forearm, before she could. " Hannah, I am not going to let you go until you tell us." I explained to her, wishing for her to share her pain with me.
But she refused, trying to tug her arm away from my grip and shaking her head fast. " Hannah, finish your sentence!" Her brother shouted. I didn't want his shout to intimidate her. " Hannah, please. I want to help you," I pleaded. " Say it, god damn it!" He shouted once more. "When I was raped, ok?! When I was raped multiple times right under your noses!" She replied, staring angrily at her brother. My grip on her forearm loosened.

Raped?!
" No, you are lying. You cannot have been raped?!" Her brother contradicted, showing his disapproval. " You want proof?! Fine, let me show you!" She replied, tearing her arm away from his grasp which I had just noticed. She started to unbutton her shirt. My eyes widened as I watched her nimble fingers move fast. " Hannah, what are you doing?" Dylan asked, not able to comprehending what was happening. " Giving you proof!" She replied, unbuttoning the last button.
She threw open her shirt, ripped her arms off, and flung her shirt to the floor. My eyes gazed on her chest and stomach. Scars were littered across everywhere, not leaving a clean spot anywhere. They were healed, but the pain that she must have felt lingered in my brain. I fell backward onto a chair. If not I would have been on the floor. " Am I still lying? You still do not believe me?!" She shrieked, her voice cracking from all the emotional stress affecting her. She sobbed, as her knees refused to hold her up anymore.
She fell onto the concrete floor and hugged her body, sobbing. The tears rolled down her cheeks. She leaned forward slightly as the light from the balcony shot down onto her back. My eyes widened, as I saw more scars. " Hannah," Her brother croaked, unable to utter anything. She let a few sobs out of her before reaching out to her crumpled shirt. She donned it as fast as she removed it and stood up on her wobbling legs. " I will pay for your loan, Brother. Do not worry." She assured before rushing out the balcony.
I stood up and looked at Dylan. " She didn't deserve this. No matter what she did in the past, she didn't deserve to be raped under your noses." I snapped before rushing behind her. She ran up the stairs fast, I tried to catch her. She avoided my advances and ran into her room, shutting the door in my face. " Hannah, please open the door!" I knocked on the door, pleading her. " Go away!" She shouted back to me, as she tried to keep her sobs in her. I picked my brain for ways to get to her.
The door connecting our rooms, I had unlocked it this morning!
I ran into my room and threw the door open, revealing a downfallen Hannah. It hurt to see her in such pain and agony. But I wanted to stay strong for her. Her palms connected to the floor harshly multiple times. I rushed to her and pulled her into my arms. Her sobs got louder as my body heat rushed into her. " Hannah, cry as much as you want. But have me with you. I will never let anything happen to you, Hannah." I comforted her to the best I could. Her palm reached to my shirt as she gripped it hard.
" Why me? Why me? I never harmed anyone. Why me, Daniel?" She sobbed. My heart clenched at the pain she was feeling. I shushed her softly, patting her head. " We will talk tomorrow, Hannah. Pour your heart out now. You have been keeping it in for a very long time." I spoke, hoping that her tears would stop. Her agony caused her to hit me, but I refused to let her go. As time passed by, her sobs slowed down. Soon her body sagged against my body. I lifted her off the floor and held her against my chest.
I walked carefully out of her room and into my room. She pulled herself into me, clutching my shirt tightly. I smiled down at her and slowly placed her on my bed. I removed her shoes and placed them beside my closet. " Daniel..." she called, making me turn to her fast. I rushed to her, holding her face in my palms. " Don't go..." she murmured, clutching my hand. I got into my bed with her and pulled her carefully into my embrace. She snuggled into my chest and let out a small sigh.
I held her body close to mine before pulling the covers over her. Soon my breathing was as rhythmic as hers.
