{Jake}

"You need to stop worrying," Justin said as he walked beside me.

I glanced at him out of the corner of my eye.

"How am I supposed to stop worrying when she's out there and I'm not?" I asked.

"Easy, you think about other stuff. Come on, Jake. We are talking about angie here. She knows protocol. If she was in trouble or she came across something, we would be notified and if not us, then Eli and then we would be notified," Justin said. I nodded. Yeah, he was right. There was no need to worry. Angel could take care of herself and if she was way in over her head, she would call. She would notify someone...it was protocol. She knew protocol.

"Jake, stop worrying. She's the best warrior we have remember? Warrior falls? The best?" Justin asked. I nodded. He was right and I was just thinking too much. I needed something to get my mind off of all of this.

"Drink?" Justin asked.

"Drink," I said, nodding.

{Alpha bane}

"This is such a surprise," I said, sitting down across from the older man. The man nodded, looking at Eli who was still standing in the doorway of Astion's office.

"Well young man? I dont bite," the older man said, lifting one corner of his mouth up in a smile. Eli smiled back, but you could see that he was scared. He moved from the doorway over towards the conference table.

The older man sighed and coughed into his hand.

"Life is too short," the older man said, shaking his head.

"I agree sir," I said.

I understood why Eli was scared and I was feeling a bit scared as well. The head councilman never ventured from the council grounds...never.

"So....what brings you here?" I asked. The older man sighed and glanced at his body guards. They nodded and left the room, shutting the door behind them.

"Alpha bane...things are not going so well. It's not just here, but reports of strange rogue behavior is all over the place. I'm afraid that the council grounds were attacked just a few days ago and I was lucky to escape. As fragile as I am, I'm not prepared to go just yet..."

"sir I am so sorry. We were not made aware-"

"Dont fret. Council members were moved safely to another location. Some though...did not survive. The royals are growing weary as well, and....they are letting loose the sweeper," the older man said.

I tensed.

"The....the sweeper?" I asked.

Eli looked at me, curiosity eating at him.

"Yes. I have come here to warn you...and prepare you alpha bane. A war is n the horrizon," the older man said before he stood and slowly left the office.

I sat there, shocked and yet fearing for my life.

"Eli-"

"What is the sweeper?" Eli asked.

"Mind-link Jake and get everyone back here. Now," I ordered. Eli nodded and left the office, but I could still smell his curiosity. I dug my phone out of my pocket and hit redial.

"Come on, come on. Pick up," I growled.

The phone rung another time before I heard a click.

"Hello?" A voice asked.

"Charles?" I asked.

{Jake}

I groaned as I walked down the street, Justin following behind me. We found a bar open, which was pretty lucky. Most bars only opened at night. I tried to get drunk, but not matter what I did, I couldn't. It probably had to do with how we were made. I don't know.

"I wonder what all the fuss is about-"

A loud howl pierced the air and I froze. My wolf growled, catching the cry from the other wolf. Justin froze too, his head turning towards the woods.

I didn't bother with my clothes, I ran, shifting into my wolf while I was running. I could hear Justin right behind me. I knew who's cry that was and normally I wouldn't go to him but angel was out there and knowing him, he knew where she was.

{James}

I got to my feet, already hearing the thud of paws hitting the ground in the distance. Astion growled, his muscles bunching up.

Astion growled as he leapt on me. I caught him in the chest with my teeth, slamming him on the ground. I could feel power flowing through me body and I swear, I felt invincible.

Astion dug his teeth into my side and I whimpered, coming back to reality. Before I could retaliate, Astion's large wolf was yanked off mine and tossed into a tree. I saw two large black wolves glaring down at me, teeth barred.

I heard a voice say. I nodded my huge head towards the border of our territory.

{Angelina}

We ripped through the woods, patches of dirt and grass flying around us. I had tried to beg her to stop, but she wasn't listening to me. She blocked me out, which was payback for the many times I did the very same thing.

I watched helplessly as she followed the scent away from my friends and family. Away from help.

Instincts told me something was up, but she wasn't listening.

I was forced to sit back and watch as we possibly ran right into a trap. I could take down one or two, but if rogues are developing the way alpha bane had said, then there was no way I was going to be able to take an entire pack down.

I busted couldn't do it.

The scent grew stronger as we came upon a clearing. She slowed, her claws digging into the ground as her eyes took in everything. The scent was strongest here. It was as if we were standing right over top-

A growl ripped through the air and my wolf looked down at our paws as the ground began to shake. Our eyes flew to the wolf that was standing at the other end of the clearing, it's eyes narrowed.

the wolf growled in my head. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see another wolf appear. They were concealed mostly by the darkness of the woods, all I could make out was the top of their muzzled and their large white eyes.

Judging by how high off the ground their eyes were...they were probably bigger than me.

My wolf turned suddenly, sensing something I hadn't been able to.

Standing now in front of us was the largest wolf I had ever seen. Humongous. Its fur was as white as snow, even whiter than mine. One of its eyes was black and the other was white.

It barred its teeth, it's muscles bunching up.

the wolf growled, its eyes sizing me up. Compared to the wolf, I was nothing. I didn't stand a chance against this wolf.

My wolf decided at this very moment, to give the reins back to me. Coward.

I took on the wolf and its large body. My eyes searched for a weakness, everything had a weakness...but I couldn't find it. The wolf was flawless. All except for its eyes.

I saw something fly through he wolf's eyes, and then it moved. I tried to prepare, tried to block, but nothing could prepare me for the impact of its claws.

It swung its paws instead, slicing my wolf right across the face. Pain flew through me, and I whimpered, but didnt back away. Any normal person would have tried to run. To call out for help, but if I even stood a chance, I needed to act now.

I ran at the wolf, anger coursing through me. I pushed off the ground with my back legs and leapt, sinking my teeth into its chest.

The wolf growled, trying to shake me off but I refused to be thrown. The wolf rolled, slamming me into the ground. I groaned inwardly, releasing my hold on the wolf.

It got to its paws, growling and shaking the blood from its fur.

The wolf came at me and I dodged it, or at least tried to and failed.

The wolf grabbed me by my throat, sinking its teeth in. I could feel the satisfaction radiating off of it.

the wolf laughed in my head before it threw me. I braced myself for the impact, crashing straight through a tree. I slammed into another and fell to the ground, my bones aching.

The tree I crashed through groaned and I watched as it fell and landed on me. It hurt, I won't lie. I felt like a mountain had come and sit on me. I pushed to my paws, the tree barely giving as I tried to stand. I dug my claws into the dirt and pulled myself from under the tree, shaking the dust and dirt from my fur.

The wolf had its back to me, so I took the opportunity and went for it. What I wasn't expecting, was for the wolf to turn at the last moment, and sink its teeth into my jaws. I roared in pain, but the wolf didn't let go. It shook me around a bit before it tossed me through the air. My life flashed before me, right before I slammed into a boulder.

I felt the air leave my lungs, and I gasped for air, my claws extending as far as they could. My wolf struggled to find some sort of balance, some way to heal, but it was too much.

My eyes found the wolf, that was now standing over me.

the wolf said, right before everything went dark.
