《Beyond The Walls | ✔》Ch 43: First Kisses

His hands were everywhere as our lips molded together and we shared a long, passionate kiss.

You know how many girls dream about having there first kiss standing in the middle of the road in the pouring rain with the prince of their dreams.

Well it wasn't my first kiss but it sure was the first one that had made me feel this way.

His one hand was massaging the nape of my neck and the other one was on my waist, keeping me close to him.

I lifted both of my hands up and wrapped them around his neck as I lost my fingers in his ridiculously soft hair and tugged at them, making him groan inside my mouth, the sound of which made my uterus skip a beat.

As we both stopped to catch our breaths, he looked straight at me with hooded eyes as my gaze flickered between his swollen lips and the intensity in his eyes.

He kept one hand wrapped around my waist as he opened the door with the other and sat in before pulling me inside and making me sit on his lap so that I was straddling him.

I lifted my hand up and touched a tiny scar right beside his eyebrow and he closed his eyes, like my mere touch had an affect on him.

I dragged my hand down to his cheek and then to his lips as I traced each and every detail of his lips, all this time making him squirm under me.

"Princess..." he said, his voice was strained like he was hurting.

He opened his eyes and looked at me and my hand stopped on its own accord as I waited for him to say something.

He didn't. He just looked at me with eyes filled with so much intensity that one could get lost in them. I leaned down and met my lips with him in a soft kiss as he both of us closed our eyes and lost ourselves in the taste of each other.

And just like that, I didn't know if minutes, hours or an eternity had passed, I just knew I was with him and that I was somehow safe.

Throughout the ride, he held my hand in his and had it rested on my lap. I had my eyes closed most of the time, feeling the warmth of his body radiating and drowning myself in the scent of his jacket was the only thing I could do.

Neither of us spoke, which I was grateful for because honestly what just happened, I didn't know if I had the strength in me to form coherent sentences for the next twenty-four hours.

He was stealing glances over and over again, probably to see if I was okay because let's just say that I wouldn't like the rain very much after today. I was probably going to get sick by tomorrow morning so....yay life.

The kiss replayed in my head over and over again as my lips still tingled thinking about the intimate moment we shared.

Although what we did today wasn't right but deep down in my heart, I still felt contended and at peace after knowing that he reciprocated my feelings for him.

The car came to a halt and for a few moments, neither of us spoke or made a move to get out. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, I opened my eyes and for the first time since that moment, I looked up towards him to find him already staring at me.

I gave him a small smile and untangled my fingers from his as I picked up my clutch and opened the door to climb outside.

It seemed as if he was still contemplating upon something and then when I thought he was going to make no move to get out, I turned around and started walking towards the porch. When I was almost near my front door, I heard the door open and smiled to myself.

For a moment there when he wouldn't come out, I thought he regretted kissing me.

I slowed down my pace as I heard him walking towards me.

"Isabelle?"

I stopped short in my tracks and yet again my heart picked up an abnormal pace as I kept my head down and fidgeted with my fingers while biting my lips in nervousness.

I slowly turned around as I saw him standing right in front of me. Yet again, I couldn't get any words out of my mouth so I just stayed quiet and waited for him to say something.

Anything.

He clenched and unclenched his fist over and over again, like pondering over something but then he heaved a deep sigh and in one long stride came right in front of me as he held my face in his hands and met my lips with his.

This kiss was soft and gentle, like he was pouring each and every emotion he wasn't able to express with words. I brought my hands up to his face and ran my fingers in his hair as he tightly held me against his chest, if he afraid I was going to disappear.

Finally he broke the kiss and looked at me as he rested his forehead against mine and we both breathed heavily.

"Take care, Princess," he pressed a soft kiss on my forehead and I nodded my head and gave him a small smile as he gently ran his fingers on my lips.

With that, he sighed again and let go of me as he took a step back and I once again started to miss the warmth of his body.

I stepped back as he folded his arms across his chest, watching me intently. I awkwardly turned around and unlocked the door before glancing back at him once more and stepping inside, closing the door behind me.

I knew I should have invited him inside for coffee but after everything that happened today, I needed some time to get my around around things.

I was still not used to seeing him as anything besides my grumpy ass boss. Who was not so grumpy right now by the way.

"Get out!" Zach screeched at the top of his lungs as he jumped up and down in excitement.

I chuckled richly and shook my head as I stared at a giggling Zach right in front of me.

He sat down and held onto my arm as he looked at me with anticipation in his eyes, "Well give me the details already, bitch!"

"Fine fine fine," I started off by telling him about the party and how it rained and Mr. Rhodes left me high and dry on a road without any kinds of shelter whatsoever and everything that happened after that while Zach listened to each and every thing with utter concentration.

"You don't know how long I've waited for this, ahh, now I can finally die in peace," he brushed off the imaginary tears and I rolled my eyes at his dramatic behavior.

"So like...did he call you after that or something?" Zach asked and I scratched the back of my head.

"Um..no?

"I swear, that man," Zach shook his head in disappointment and when I did realise that he didn't even call me over the weekend I couldn't help but feel a little bit hurt but I concealed my expressions with a fake smile and tried not to think about that but focus on the brighter side....which was how awesome his lips felt.
