"We could go to Jimmy's tomorrow?" Genevieve asks, scrolling through the magazine pages.

"I don't know, what if he's all booked?" I pout.

"Jimmy will find time for us! And my mom's makeup artist can do our makeup, she won't cake our faces, she has a daughter our age she'll know what she's doing."

"I think I'll do my own makeup," I say, looking over at my organizer filled with makeup.

She tosses the magazine aside, holding up her phone to me. "I was thinking this style for me and Jimmy said he could squeeze us in!"

I bite down on my lip, "Well how much would it be?"

She waves her hand down, scoffing. "You're not paying for anything. Also, are you and Grayson getting a room or not, so I can pay for it tonight."

"You're not paying for the room! And besides, I don't even know if we're going to even get one."

"Well decide now, prom is tomorrow!" She gently taps my temple.

"I don't want you paying for everything, Gen. It makes me feel like I'm just getting everything handed to me." I take the magazine and look through all the different hairstyles.

I have to get up early tomorrow if I want to get my hair down which will take about an hour. Then I have to come back home and do my makeup and get dressed then have time for pictures and- - just thinking about it stresses me out.

Genevieve looks down at her phone and starts to get up, "I have to go, my parents want me home for once. We'll be at Jimmy's tomorrow around noon."

I wave at Gen as she leaves my room then grab my phone. I call Grayson, waiting impatiently as the line rings.

After two rings he picks up.

"Hey!"

"Hey," I smile, knowing he can't see me. "Are you all set for tomorrow?"

I hear a bit of shuffling through the phone before he responds. "Pretty much. Hey, quick question, should I wear contacts or no contacts tomorrow?"

I hum a little, trying to imagine him with and without his glasses. "Without, but take your classes just in case. I'll even carry them in my purse for you."

"You're the best." He clicks his tongue. "Also, what time is the limo getting here? I know how important those prom pictures are to you so I'll be at your house half an hour before."

"Six-thirty is when the limo gets here," I answer.

The pit of my stomach tightens as I try to build up the courage to ask him about the hotel room. Grayson and I have spent the night together before. We just weren't dating yet. If we get a room for just us things will be different.

He's not oblivious, he knows what would end up happening if we get a room. But I could tell him we don't have to do anything. He's a gentleman, he'll understand.

"Everett told me that they're having an after-party in one of the suites at the hotel. Did Genevieve tell you?"

"Do you really see us being there?"

"You're right." He sighs.

The smell of steamed broccoli enters through the small crack of my open door. I scrunch my nose, fanning my hand in front of my face. "I'll call you later, I think my moms done with dinner."

"Alright, see you tomorrow." He laughs.

"Bye, I love you." I hum.

"And I love you." He mimics before hanging up.

I toss my phone aside, quickly going over to the dresser.

I pull open my underwear drawer and look through the pairs I have.

None of them scream 'sexy'.

They're all plain colors and a few have a couple of designs.

The same goes for my bras. Plain colors.

I look at the time and stare at my car keys on my vanity. If I leave now I can make it with half an hour to spare. But I don't want to be that customer.

Screw it.

I walk around the many displays with lace underwear laid out. What color would look best on me?

I can't ask Gen or Grayson for their opinion. It's ruin Grayson's surprise and Genevieve, well she'll scream with excitement if she found out I'm shopping here.

What about lingerie? Nope.

I quickly scan the displays when I finally see something that I imagine myself wearing.

A red lace thong with a matching bra. It's not too scandalous, right? Grayson's the only one to see me in this. I'm sure he'll love it.

I pick up the thong, trying my best to imagine what I'd look in it.

"It's one of our best sellers." The sales lady smiles as she walks by. I feel myself blushing as she walks away.

It's...pretty.

Something I never imagined myself wearing but it's pretty.

I grab the set in my size and quickly go to pay.

When I get home I shove the set in my sweater and throw the bag in the trash.

My parents would kill me if they ever saw that I bought these.
