"Namjoon you finally got a girlfriend?!" Taehyung laughs, slapping him on the arm.
"What do you mean 'finally'?" Namjoon scoffs. "I've dated before."
"Not like this," Jin snickers. "You blush like a schoolgirl when you talk about her."
"I do not," Namjoon scowls as his cheeks flush pink.
"Hey morons," Nari rolls her eyes. "Stop gushing over your love lives and move to your spots, I need to adjust the lights."
"God," Yoongi sighs, running his fingers through his mint green hair. "You're always such a buzzkill."
"Suck my dick," she hisses.
"Only if you ask nicely," he smirks.
"Yoongi-hyung," Jungkook glares. "Don't talk to her like that."
He rolls his eyes and moves over to his position.
Nari's been with the company for almost a year now, getting along pretty well with all of the members besides Yoongi. She doesn't dislike Yoongi, she just doesn't really know what to do with him. He likes to tease her and joke with her which wouldn't be that weird if he did it with the other staff members, but he doesn't. Nari seems to be the only one he likes to pick a fight with.
"Okay, you guys can relax," Nari smiles, finishing up the strobe settings. She enjoys her job, even though it's incredibly taxing both physically and mentally. After graduation, Nari had multiple offers of employment from large entertainment companies, but she chose BigHit because her younger brother is a huge Jungkook fan. He almost shit his pants when his big sis showed him her new ID badge.
"Noona do you want to come with us for dinner?" Jungkook asks, peaking his coconut head over the sound booth.
"Yeah but I'll meet you guys there, I need to finish up some things here," she says to him, still fidgeting around with the backlights. "Save me a seat."
"Will do," he grins with his bunny smile.
God he's so fucking cute.
Nari adores Jungkook, but it's nothing more than how she views her own younger brother. They have lots of similarities; a beautiful smile, chubby cheeks, doe eyes, a similar stature. The main difference is that Jungkook is a flourishing superstar and her brother is dying of brain cancer.
Nari finishes up and heads outside but stops under the overhang to see freezing rain pouring down. "Shit," she mumbles under her breath, realizing she didn't bring an umbrella.
"Jesus you're fucking slow," she hears from her left, making her flinch so hard she almost falls over herself.
"Yoongi what the hell?" she exhales with her hand over her chest. "Can you not say hello like a normal person?"
"It's your fault you didn't see me," he chuckles, leaning back against the building. "You should be thanking me."
Nari glances down at the black umbrella in his hands and squints her eyes. "This is suspicious," she glares.
"What?" he asks, confused.
"Is Min Yoongi being nice to me?" she continues as she warily eyes him up and down. "Or is this some sort of prank? Are you going to get me out in the middle of the freezing rain with that umbrella and then take off?"
Yoongi's jaw slacks as he looks at her. "I would never do that to you. You could get sick."
She glares at him a little longer, trying to figure out his motive.
"Quit being annoying," he chuckles, opening up the umbrella and grabbing her wrist. "They're already waiting for us."

Nari wraps her arm around Yoongi's bicep as they walk and it makes him stiffen. "What're you doing?" he asks.
"Your shoulder is getting wet," she answers. "We need to walk closer together so we're both covered."
He blinks at her for a second before turning his head back forward, acting nonchalant about the whole thing but Nari doesn't realize his red ears aren't because it's cold outside.
After a silent ten minute walk they finally make it to the noodle shop and there's only two seats left on the opposite ends of the table. Nari heads for the seat between Jungkook and Namjoon, pausing when she sees an unfamiliar face at the end.
"Ah," Namjoon smiles shyly. "This is my girlfriend, Hae-Ran."
Nari's almost taken back by how beautiful she is, her long silky platinum blonde hair and sharp cat eyes making her incredibly alluring.
"Oh so you're the one he keeps blushing about," Nari teases and takes her seat as Namjoon turns red again. "I'm Nari, it's nice to meet you."
"It's nice to meet you too," Hae-Ran smiles back.
The dinner passes by like it usually does, Nari treating JK like he's her precious gem and giving him all the extra food she knows he likes. "Noona you're my favorite," he grins, resting his head on her shoulder.
She leans in to whisper in his ear, "Don't tell anyone but you're my favorite too."
They all finish up and pay, heading back out into the freezing weather but luckily the rain has stopped. Nari lifts an eyebrow when she sees Yoongi staring at her with an unreadable expression.
"Um... Nari?" she hears a small voice from behind her.
Turning around she finds Hae-Ran staring at her with big doe eyes.
"I was wondering..." she pauses and looks away nervously. "...if maybe I could get your number?"
Nari blinks at her before giving a warm smile. "Of course you can, we've been needing more girls in the group."
Relief floods over Hae-Ran's face as Nari extends her phone out to her, not realizing it would cost her everything down the road.
Over the next year of Hae-Ran and Namjoon's relationship, she and Nari became the best of friends, spending most of their time together and traveling around with the boys. Namjoon and Hae-Ran seemed to be pretty happy together, and Nari was too busy to think about her own love life. She was busy with work and taking care of her brother, whose health has only declined the last few months.
"Your brother has cancer?" Hae-Ran asks, sitting across from Nari at her dinner table.
"Yeah," she frowns, poking around at her japchae. "The tumor is too close to his spine to operate on so we're just pushing back the inevitable with chemo. But he's so miserable, all he does is cry and throw up."
"I'm so sorry," Hae-Ran says softly, moving around the table to hug her as she starts to break down. "My father is friends with one of the board members at the cancer research center. I wonder if there's anything we could do to help."
The next several months remain the same. All Nari can focus on is work and her brother. She's been spending almost all of her free time with him, not knowing what day could be his last. Nari worked hard to hide her pain from the boys, that is until Hae-Ran came to visit her one day with the best news Nari had ever received.

"He got accepted?!" she exclaims, jumping up and down.
"Yep," Hae-Ran grins. "Thanks to my father's recommendation, your brother got bumped up on the clinical trial list and he's been approved. He can start as early as next week."
"Oh my god," Nari says shakily as tears roll down her cheeks. "Hae-Ran, thank you so much. You have no idea what this means."
"Of course," she smiles warmly. "What are friends for?"
"Nari, are you okay?" Yoongi asks from behind, making them flinch. "Are you crying?"
"Don't worry, these are tears of joy," Hae-Ran giggles.
"Ah, it's nothing," Nari chuckles awkwardly, wiping her face. She hasn't told anyone about her brother because she doesn't handle pity well. Hae-Ran's the only one she's confided in about him since his diagnosis.
"How is your brother being accepted into the cancer research institution nothing?" Hae-Ran asks in confusion, genuinely forgetting that Nari told her to keep it on the low. She slaps her hand over her mouth as soon as she sees the fury from her friend's eyes.
"Your brother has cancer?" Yoongi asks, giving her that look of pity she hates so much. "Why wouldn't you tell me?"
Nari frustratedly runs her hand through her hair and says, "I haven't told anyone and I don't want to, so don't say anything."
"You haven't even told JK?"
"No?" Nari snorts. "Why would I tell him?"
"Because you like him?" Yoongi says it like it's obvious, making Nari's jaw dip below sea level.
"Child, are you out of your mind?" she gapes. "Why would you think I like Jungkook? He's barely old enough to drink now."
"Are you being serious?" Yoongi asks with sincerity behind his eyes. "You treat him like he walks on water."
"Because he reminds me of my brother!" she exclaims, balling her hands into fists. "They're literally the same age. I love Jungkook with all my heart but dear god, not like that."
Yoongi's eyes bore into hers and as usual, she has no idea what he's thinking.
"Christ," Nari groans, turning back to Hae-Ran. "I'm going to forgive you for the slip up since you're the reason Tan's been accepted. But don't do that again."
"Okay," she smiles shyly. "I'm sorry."
"Are you really not coming with us on tour this year?" she asks as Hae-Ran's eyes get a little dark.
"No," she says bitterly. "All the traveling is getting exhausting."
"Yeah I get that," Nari frowns. "But you and Namjoon are still good, right?"
"Of course we are," Hae-Ran giggles, the brightness returning to her eyes. "Namjoon and I are going to be together forever."
"What the fuck did you just say?" Nari asks shakily in the hospital hallway. "Who poisoned him?"
"Hae-Ran did," Yoongi says softly. "She's being sent to America to avoid having charges pressed against her."
Nari falls back against the wall, sliding down to the ground as she takes in what Yoongi just said. He moves to sit next to her, remaining silent until he sees the tears pour from her eyes like he knew they would.
He pulls her into his embrace and she cries on his shoulder, not being able to understand how this could happen. She knew Hae-Ran and Namjoon were having problems, and she knew Hae-Ran had been moody lately, but she never would've imagined something like this.
She almost throws up when she walks into the hospital room, taking in Namjoon's sunken features from the mental abuse he's been suffering with silently over the past two years. Tears of rage flow down Nari's cheeks, anger at Hae-Ran but mostly anger at herself.
Days turn into weeks, weeks into months. Nari can't come to terms with what Hae-Ran had done. She'd spent sleepless nights agonizing about how she should have seen the signs. She should have looked into her strange behaviours and questioned them, but instead chose to ignore it. Nari had brushed all of it off because of her overwhelming gratitude towards Hae-Ran for getting Tan into the clinical trials that could end up saving his life.
The trials have been pretty successful for her brother. The tumor hasn't disappeared but it's stopped growing and he doesn't have to do chemo anymore. The only real side effect is him being sleepy but he doesn't mind, as long as it's not nausea and body aches.
"If only I hadn't been so fucking ignorant," Nari whimpers over her lap on Yoongi's couch. "I'm disgusted with myself."
"Nari it's not your fault," Yoongi says to her, softly stroking her cheek. "She fooled all of us."
"I knew her the best though," she says shakily as tears start to flow down her cheeks. "I spent so much time with her. There's so many things I realize now in hindsight that were so wrong."
"Nari, look at me," he says sternly and her watery eyes meet his. "You have to stop blaming yourself. The only person at fault here is Hae-Ran and you know it."
"I just feel so miserable," she sobs quietly back down into her lap again.
"Is there anything I can do to help?" Yoongi asks, scooting closer to her.
Her breath hitches as she looks back up at him, his face only inches from hers. He places his hand on her cheek again, smoothing his thumb over her skin, bringing her a wave of both nervousness and comfort.
"Maybe," she says quietly, flickering her eyes down to his lips.
Yoongi immediately responds by pressing his lips to hers, kissing her the way he's wanted to for years now. Nari leans into him and slips her tongue between his lips, his hand reaching up to cradle her neck to deepen the kiss. That night was the first time Yoongi held her, finally having her moaning beneath him like he's imagined it the last few years. But to the unknowing Nari, it was just one night of sex.
Nari wakes up in his bed the next morning, Yoongi waking up the moment she starts to sit up. She feels awkward so she immediately asks Yoongi to pretend it never happened — she doesn't want things to become weird between her and anyone at the company because she sought comfort in his arms in a moment of weakness. What she doesn't know is that while she was feeling awkward, Yoongi felt like he was floating.
"I don't want to," he glares.
"W-what do you mean you don't want to?" Nari asks in confusion. "You want to tell everyone we fucked?"
"No one else needs to know anything," he huffs. "But I don't want to pretend it never happened when I'm with you."
She blinks at him in confusion, clutching the covers to her chest. "Um... okay?" she finally says as a question. "I guess we don't have to pretend when it's just us but I really don't want others knowing. Everyone treated Hae-Ran a little differently because she was screwing Namjoon and I don't want that."
"That's fine," Yoongi smiles warmly, making Nari's cheeks flush and confusing her even more.
Over the next year, things between them progress to a 'friends with benefits' relationship. Nari originally wasn't interested but Yoongi's weapon of a dick is so good it's hard to resist. He's also fucking beautiful so when he lays the moves on her it's almost impossible to say no. He's changed from being an obnoxious little shit to a caring, empathetic gentleman who treats her like she hung the moon.
Nari even brought Yoongi to meet Tan and he almost passed out. He's a JK bias till he dies but he's OT7. He's always wanted to meet them so when Yoongi stayed to chat with him for three hours during his busy schedule, it made her heart flutter and swell.
"Fuck," Nari moans as Yoongi pumps in and out of her from behind so good it's making her see stars. She grips his comforter on all fours and it takes everything she has not to cum too early.
"You feel so good Nari," Yoongi groans, gripping her ass to spread her apart further. "Your body is amazing. I'll never get tired of this, fuck."
Yoongi praises her a lot in bed and really likes to cuddle afterwards too. It's beginning to confuse her — the way her heart is starting to beat for him is making her a little uncomfortable. Yoongi is so good to her it doesn't even make sense since she's just a fuck buddy. She's been so busy the past 5 years that romance hasn't even crossed her mind. But now that her brother is healthier and things are flowing better at work, she actually has time to breathe.
"I'm going to head home," Nari sighs, forcing herself off his bed after one of the best climaxes she's ever had.
"No," Yoongi whines, pulling her back to him as he's half asleep. "Stay here."
"Why?" Nari rolls her eyes. "We spend too much time together just for fuck buddies."
"Then be my girlfriend," he smiles with droopy eyes. "Don't keep me in the friend zone any longer."
Nari's eyes almost pop out of her head as Yoongi simply falls asleep right after saying that. She sits up on his bed and just stares at his face, watching his chest slowly rising and falling. Just like how she started kicking herself for not noticing the signs with Hae-Ran, she starts kicking herself for not noticing the signs with Yoongi.
After having a one hour internal crisis Nari lays back down next to him, getting one of the best nights of sleep in her life.
"Just pretend I didn't say anything," Yoongi smiles tightly the next morning. "I was just delirious."
Nari's heart sinks when those words roll off his tongue. She'd finally realized her feelings for Yoongi and he's trying to tell her to never mind.
"I don't want to pretend," she says angrily, making Yoongi's eyes frantically snap to hers.
"W-what?" he asks dumbfounded.
Nari clutches his t-shirt he's wearing and looks down at her lap with teary eyes. "I don't want to pretend you didn't say that."
"Are you being serious right now?"
Nari's eyes nervously meet Yoongi's but he has tears in his eyes now too.
"Can I take that as you'll actually consider being my girlfriend?"
She bites into her lip, her eyes boring into his as she sees the nervousness and excitement behind his eyes. Swallowing the lump in her throat all she can do is nod, and Yoongi proceeds to maul her like an animal, making love to her all over again.
"Namjoon's dating again?" Nari asks with her eyes wide.
"He hasn't admitted to his feelings yet, but they're pretty much dating," Yoongi smiles, setting her bowl of homemade mushroom soup in front of her. "It's that [Y/N] girl you told him to sleep next to. He's absolutely smitten, and he's sleeping like a baby every night he spends with her."
"Oh my god," Nari whimpers, tears flowing down her cheeks. "I'm so relieved. I'm so happy for him."
"Could we consider telling the other members about us?" Yoongi asks anxiously. "I know you don't want to be treated differently but it's literally killing me not to say anything."
Nari looks down as she stirs her soup. She loves her job and she's so nervous to make anything uncomfortable for others. She also doesn't want to risk Bang PD moving her off the team in case there's any sort of personal conflict.
"Can I think about it a little more?" she asks nervously. "I know it's bothering you. I'm sorry for being such a coward. I'm just really scared."
"I know, love," he sighs, grabbing her hand in his. "Just please think about it. I know you're worried things will change but I don't think they will. You've been on this team for almost six years now."
"I know," she nods. "I'll really think about it, I promise."
"Thank you, love," he smiles so warmly at her she almost passes out.
After another long day at work Nari skips out the door, humming along to one of Yoongi's new songs on her way home. She takes her usual route home, stopping by the grocery store for tonight's dinner.
Making her way inside her apartment building, she heads up the elevators to her fifth floor studio. After swinging the door open she slips her shoes off and moves to the kitchen to set her produce down, turning around when she doesn't hear her front door latch close.
Her eyes travel down to see a sneaker wedged between the door and its frame, the figure slowly pushing the door open to slip herself into the apartment. Nari's palms sweat and her stomach drops when she sees that god awful platinum blonde hair being flipped over her shoulder.
"Hey bestie," Hae-Ran smirks. "Remember me?"
