"Namjoon I need to talk to you," Nari says to him as soon as he steps off the bullet train.

"What are you doing here?" Yoongi asks behind him, adjusting the bag over his shoulder.

She remains silent as she bores her eyes into Namjoon's, making him incredibly confused by her actions.

Namjoon noticed you had called him, so he texted you this morning saying he'd be back in a few hours and to wait for him at home. All you responded was "okay."

"Sure, I guess," he shifts uncomfortably. "Guys I'll see you later, go home and get some rest."

Yoongi stares at Nari for a moment, but eventually shrugs and heads toward the vans that are ready to drive them home.

"What is it?" Namjoon asks, starting to get nervous. He knows you aren't very comfortable with Nari, so he doesn't really like the idea of being alone with her. But the look on her face has him anxious and curious.

She grabs his wrist and drags him to her car. "Get in."

Namjoon quietly follows her orders and slips into the passenger seat as Nari settles herself into the driver's seat. She picks up her phone and scrolls through a few photos, before landing on one that surprises him.

It's a photo of you and Jungkook on the maroon couch in the restaurant. Your hand on his bicep with his face leaned towards yours, almost looking like you're about to kiss.

His eyes glance up to her in confusion. "What is this?"

"[Y/N] and JK were together last night, I saw them," she frowns, pulling her phone back to her. "It's not edited, I took this picture."

Namjoon blinks at her, trying to process her words. "Did you see them kiss?"

"No," she sighs. "Jungkook got a phone call right before they were going to."

"You must've seen it wrong," Namjoon answers casually. "They would never do that."

Nari scoffs, holding the picture up again. "Namjoon I saw it with my own eyes. It was just the two of them. It was so obvious that I went up and called her out on it."

"And how did she react?"

"Of course she denied it," Nari snorts. "But then I read the note JK left her."

Namjoon's brows raise, waiting for her to continue.

"JK had to leave because of that scandal," she explains, running a hand through her hair. "So while we were arguing in the bathroom, he'd already left. He gave a note to the waitress for [Y/N] to read. It said he was sorry and that he would make it up to her. And then he told her she looked beautiful tonight."

"Did she look beautiful?" he asks playfully.

"Namjoon I'm serious," Nari glares. "Something is going on."

"Look I appreciate your concern," he smiles warmly. "But [Y/N] would never do that. And even if she did, JK would never do that. It just doesn't make sense."

Nari's about to refute but Namjoon cuts her off. "You've known Jungkook for years. Do you think he's the type who would do something like that?"

Nari bites into her lip, unsure of how to answer. No, she really doesn't think Jungkook would ever intentionally do anything to hurt Namjoon. But it's not like this is a rumor. She saw it with her own eyes. She saw the way Jungkook was looking at you. She knows what JK looks like when he's looking at a woman he wants.

"I wish I could explain it better," she huffs. "You know I wouldn't bring this up if I wasn't legitimately worried. I just wanted to let you know since they probably won't."

"Let's see if they do," he laughs, reaching for his phone and dialing your number. It goes straight to voicemail so he dials Jungkook.

"Hey hyung what's up?"

"Hey Jungkook," he smiles. "Just calling to check in. How are you?"

"Ah, I'm okay. We took care of the scandal."

"So I heard," Namjoon laughs. "Why didn't you tell me you met [Y/N]?"

There's a few seconds of silence on the phone before he answers. "I haven't met [Y/N]. I'm not sure what you're talking about."

Namjoon's stomach sinks as all the blood drains from his face, holding the picture of you two in his other hand. "Really?" he croaks out, looking over at Nari whose jaw just came unhinged. "You really haven't met her yet?"

"Really," he chuckles, clearing his throat. "Why, what's up?"

"Ah, maybe I misunderstood," Namjoon says shakily. "What were you up to last night? Did the scandal mess up any plans?"

"Ah," JK pauses again before speaking. "It's no big deal." Namjoon can hear a slight irritation in his voice.

Namjoon feels like he's going to throw up, his chest tightening from anxiety and his hands starting to tremble. None of this makes sense to him. Jungkook has rarely, if ever, lied to him.

"I have to go. I'm meeting up with someone."

"Jungkook wai-"

It's too late, he's already hung up.

"Fuck," Namjoon grits, dialing your number again. This time it actually rings but you don't answer, leaving him even more anxious. He calls the both of you a few times but to no avail. He looks up your location to see where you are. His relief that you're home doesn't last long when he sees JK's location in the same building.

"Let's go talk to them, maybe this is some huge misunderstanding," Nari says, seeing Namjoon beginning to panic. "Your birthday's around the corner, maybe they're secretly planning something for you."

Namjoon's stomach is now in his throat, simply nodding to her as his chest feels like it's being crushed.

Logically there is no way you or JK would do something like this to him. But it's hard to defend you two with the information he's been presented with. Jungkook just lied to him. You not answering his calls is making it worse. You always answer his calls.

He's kicking himself for not answering his phone last night.

Namjoon's leg bounces up and down the whole fifteen minute ride there, staring at his phone screen praying one of your names pops up. Unfortunately he doesn't get that lucky as he stumbles out of Nari's car before she even puts it in park. He sprints through the foyer, completely bypassing everyone greeting him. Nari follows closely behind him as he impatiently presses the elevator button.

"Namjoon, it's not going to come faster," she pants, catching her breath. "Calm down. Just because her location is with him doesn't mean anything yet."

Somehow the roles have flipped and now Nari is the one trying to convince Namjoon it's nothing. She didn't expect him to even believe her, let alone find herself in this situation.

"You're the one who brought this up to me," he says nervously, stepping into the elevator shaft. "You thought something was going on for a reason."

"Yeah but you were right," she groans, following him inside. "I don't trust [Y/N] but I do trust Jungkook. Them sleeping together wouldn't make sense."

"You think they've already slept together?" Namjoon chokes out, panicking even more. Tears are threatening to fall from his eyes any second. The anxiety and fear has overtaken him, making him unable to think rationally. He's scared shitless of going through another heartbreak. He doesn't want to go through that again. He can't.

Nari facepalms herself, wishing she would've kept her mouth shut. "No, I mean I don't know. But I need you to breathe."

The elevator dings as they make it up to Jungkook's floor, Nari gripping his wrist as he tries to walk out.

"Namjoon," she says sternly, boring into his fearful eyes. "Breathe. Do not go in there like this."

He bites into his lip before nodding and taking a few deep breaths, calming himself down. "It's nothing," Namjoon exhales, keeping his eyes closed. "It's all a misunderstanding."

"That's my boy," she grins, slapping him on the back. "Now let's go. I'm sure we can figure this out."

He gives her a small smile and nods, making his way towards JK's door.

We're okay. We trust [Y/N]. We trust Jungkook. Everything is going to be okay. He thinks to himself, reaching for JK's keypad to unlock the door.

He takes a deep breath before swinging the door open, stepping into JK's entryway only to hear Nari gasp as he finds his worst fear standing before him.

Jungkook is shirtless and his hand is grabbing the hem of your blouse, both of your eyes opening wide as you see him step through the door.

"Namjoon-hyung what are y-"

"What the fuck is going on here?" he growls, making the both of you flinch. You step away from Jungkook's body with a panicked look in your eyes.

"Joon this isn't what it loo-"

"Shut up," he grits through his teeth, tears streaming down his face as he avoids your eyes. "I'm talking to Jungkook."

JK takes a step back and puts his hands out in front of him. "Hyung, why are you so angry? What is going on?"

"You thought you could lie to me?" Namjoon seethes, his hands balled into fists.

"Okay, you're starting to get on my nerves," he says frustratedly, standing a little straighter. "What the fuck are you talking about?"

"You thought you could fuck [Y/N] behind my back? Do you think I'm stupid?"

JK's eyes almost pop out of his head as he turns to look at you. "You're [Y/N]?"

"Don't bullshit me," Namjoon says angrily, walking up to JK.

"Joon, please," you beg. "I'm telling you it's-"

"I told you I'm not talking to you!" he yells, making you flinch as he finally meets your eyes. "I should've known better. Who the fuck would still love me after what you went through? I should've known you had an ulterior motive." The hurt in your eyes doesn't make him feel any better; it makes him feel worse.

He turns his fuming gaze back towards his bandmate. "But you? I've known you for years. Practically raised you. What the hell is wrong with you?"

"Namjoon-hyung, I need you to calm down," Jungkook says softly, taking a step towards him. "We can talk this ou-"

"Don't fucking touch me," Namjoon spits, slapping Jungkook's hand away from him. "I don't want to look at either of you."

He turns to storm out and you follow behind him, running to catch up.

"Joon, wait," you plead, gripping his wrist, "I need you to listen to me."

"I don't want to," he glares, ripping his arm from you. "Don't touch me."

"Namjoon!" you cry out, tears falling down your face as he opens the door to the staircase. "He didn't know it was me, he thought I was someone else. This whole time he didn't know my name."

He continues marching down the stairs, ignoring you. His floor is only two below Jungkook's, and he angrily swings the door open to the hallway once he gets there. You silently follow behind him, sniffling as he makes it to his door, entering the code to head straight to his room.

"What are you doing?" you ask as Namjoon grabs two of his suitcases.

"I'm leaving," he hisses, throwing random amounts of clothes into them.

"You're not even letting me explain!" you cry, trying to close one of his suitcases.

"Okay fine," Namjoon says sarcastically, crossing his arms over his chest. "Let's say Jungkook didn't know it was you. Then what's your excuse? Why did you almost kiss him last night and why were you in his room like that?"

"What?!" you exclaim, your eyes almost popping out of your head. "Almost ki- what the hell?! Did Nari tell you that?"

"She showed me a picture to prove it," he glares, jaw clenched as his tear stains begin to dry. Yours, however, are not drying. Your cheeks are being coated with more tears as you try to find the right words.

"I don't know what she told you or showed you but that's not what went down," you grit through your teeth. "He might've wanted to kiss me but I never would've kissed him back."

"So you admit he almost kissed you."

"No!" you yell, trying to control your shaking. "I mean I don't know if he would have or not. It seemed like he wanted to but it didn't happen. I went over there to talk about it with him."

"With his shirt off?" Namjoon scoffs, rolling his eyes.

"You don't even want to listen to me," you say to him, your voice shaking from your nerves.

All Namjoon can see is red. He's completely blinded by fear and anger.

"You're right, I don't," he snaps, moving to put more clothes in his luggage. "I'm leaving." Even when he's this angry at you he's going to make sure you're safe in this building. "You can keep the apartment. Keep the cars. Take whatever the fuck you want. Just don't talk to me again. We're done."

"Baby please," you begin to sob, following him to the door. "You know I would never do this to you. Please don't go. I love you."

He stops in his tracks as he turns to glare at you. The hatred and malice in his eyes shatters your heart, ripping your stomach to pieces. "All that bullshit you gave me about not lying," he chuckles, but there is no humor behind it. "You really are disgusting. You're just as fucked up as Hae-Ran."

Your breath gets stuck in your throat, processing his words. Flashbacks of that night suddenly flood through your brain, pulling out memories you'd kept buried deep inside. The pain begins taking over you physically, paralyzing you in your spot. You collapse to your knees helplessly as he walks out, leaving you in shambles alone on his apartment floor.
