《Sleep With Me | KNJ x Reader》Ch 6 | Please

You slowly start to wake up to the sound of running water. It's actually kind of peaceful. It reminds you of the small creek in your backyard at home and you hum happily to the sound of it.

The water starts to get a little bit louder, and you open your heavy eyelids to see what's going on. You find yourself in your living room, remembering you had cried yourself to sleep after the boys left. You blink a couple times, confused as to why you see water all over your hardwood floors.

Suddenly it hits you.

"Oh shit!" you scream, sitting up from your couch. You immediately run to your bathroom and see water flooding down from the ceiling. Then all of a sudden, the water just stops.

Shortly after you hear a knock at your front door. You sprint to the entrance, opening the door to find your building manager, looking stressed out and haggard.

"I'm sorry Miss [Y/N]," he says, rubbing his forehead. "Your upstairs neighbor's pipe busted. It's probably going to take 1-2 months at minimum to repair everything."

Great. As if this day could somehow make me feel worse.

"If you have a place to stay," he continues, "I recommend moving there as soon as you can. We had to shut the water off. If you don't have anywhere else to go, I do have extra spaces available within the building, but they're only open for a few days at a time. I would have to move you from floor to floor every now and then."

You stare at him for a second and he shifts uncomfortably, giving you an apologetic look.

It's not his fault, [Y/N]. He's probably more devastated than you are since this will cost him a fortune to fix.

You let out a heavy sigh. "No, don't worry about it Mr. Yang. I have a place I can stay. Please give me a call as soon as everything is taken care of."

After packing up all your clothes and necessities, salvaging what you could from your bathroom, you show up to your best friend's house two and a half hours later.

"[Y/N]!" she exclaims, throwing her arms around you, making you drop half of your stuff. "I missed you! I'm so glad you're staying with us!"

You smile into her hug.

Nanami can be annoying at times, but there is no one on this earth that has your back like she does. You had called her to tell her your situation and before you could even ask, she was demanding that you come stay with her and her family. Her exact words were, "Bitch, get the fuck over here and let's have a two month long slumber party."

"Come on, let's go inside," she says excitedly after picking up all your things.

You follow her through the house as she steers you to one of their many guest rooms. You've been here multiple times, but she always has you switch rooms you stay in. She likes to decorate and always wants to place you in her latest creation.

After setting your things down, she drags you into the kitchen where her parents are making dinner.

"Mom!" Nanami yells.

"Child, why the hell are you always yelling? I'm four feet away from you," she snaps. She notices you trailing behind Nanami and her facial expression immediately softens.

"Honey look!" she says to her husband. "Our favorite daughter is here."

"Hey! I'm standing right here!" Nanami shouts, stomping her foot like a 4 year old.

You smile and walk up to hug her parents. "Hi Mr. and Mrs. Watanabe. Thanks so much for letting me stay here while my apartment gets fixed."

"Oh it's no problem dear," Mr. Watanabe smiles. "You know you're always welcome here."

You flash him another warm smile, mentally scolding yourself for not visiting them more often.

Nanami's parents are very well off, they have a beautiful and spacious home. You're not exactly sure what his title is, but Mr. Watanabe is some sort of upper level executive at Samsung, while Mrs. Watanabe runs a dermatology clinic nearby.

Mr. Watanabe is Japanese, while Mrs. Watanabe is Korean. Her original surname is Cho. Another reason you and Nanami get along so well is because she was also discriminated against in Korea, for being a "half-blood," as they would call her.

Again, not everyone in South Korea discriminates against non-Koreans. Most people you meet are very kind and friendly, more curious than anything. But you do find a couple of duds here and there. You've even been denied entry into a few clubs and restaurants before.

After a few minutes of chatting and catching up with Nanami's parents, dinner was ready and you got to enjoy a delicious home cooked meal for the first time in a while. You like to cook, but nothing compares to a mother's love sprinkled into their cooking.

You and Nanami stay in the kitchen to do the dishes after dinner, forcing her parents to go relax in the living room. They usually like to do everything around the house but you refused, saying you needed to be at least somewhat useful.

You shake your head and sigh. You can't believe your situation has turned around into Namjoon's in a matter of 8 hours. Now you are the one giving puppy eyes, begging to do the dishes while the host goes to relax.

You're in the middle of drying a plate when you stop moving, remembering how sad you are. Nanami notices and gives you a nudge with her elbow, but you hardly react.

"Hey," Nanami says softly. She's usually loud and abrasive but she knows you well enough to notice when something is wrong. She knows when to be blunt and crude, and she knows when to be soft and caring. She knows you need the latter right now. "Talk to me."

You put the plate down and turn to look at her, tears threatening to fall down your face at any second. "I... I met some of the BTS members today."

Nanami drops the cup in her hand, glass shattering everywhere.

"Ah fucking shit," she exclaims through gritted teeth.

You hear her mom shouting from the other room asking if everything is okay.

"Yeah Mom!" she shouts back. "Don't come over here, I need to clean this up!"

She turns back to look at you. "So you met BTS, one of your favorite idol bands..." she pauses, rubbing her temples. "Why the fuck are you about to cry then? Shouldn't we be... I don't know, getting blackout drunk, celebrating or something?"

You bend down and start sweeping up glass. Nanami stays silent as she listens to you explain your last 24 hours, slowly helping you pick up the broken pieces on the ground.

You two finish cleaning and putting away the dishes in silence. Once done, Nanami grabs your arm and drags you to her room, sitting you on her bed.

"Listen up bitch. I hear what you're saying," Nanami says, crossing her arms. "You had this somewhat spicy connection with Kim Namjoon, and then had to keep your mouth shut as he walked away. That was probably pretty hard."

You suck in a sharp breath as your eyes begin to water again. "I don't know what's going on with me," you whimper. "I should be so happy right? So grateful that I even had the opportunity to meet them? But here I am moping around like a spoiled brat. Knowing he means so much to me while I'm just another face in the crowd suddenly became very real." You mumble the last part, Nanami barely understanding what you're saying.

There's a break of silence in the room while Nanami processes what to say next. After a few more moments, she takes a deep breath.

"I think your feelings are very valid, [Y/N]." You look at her in shock. You kind of expected her to roast you for being selfish.

"I think this feeling of hurt will pass," she continues. "I think you recognize that it was an incredible experience and that it's something millions of others wish they could have. But they didn't go through it. You did. And you need to let yourself be sad, without shaming yourself. Once you give yourself some time to process your feelings, you will be able to look back on this moment and smile."

The tears start flowing from your eyes again, dropping down from your chin and into your lap. Nanami immediately swallows you into a hug, standing between your legs as you wrap your arms around her waist.

"Thank you... I love you." You manage to strangle out between your sobs.

"Come on. You're staying in here tonight, and we're gonna cuddle. I'll prove to you that I'm way better than that Kim Namjoon guy." You look up at her, probably a blubbery mess, and she simply smirks down at you, caressing your cheek.

And for the first time today, you're able to laugh.

A week has passed since Namjoon walked out of your apartment door. Your asshole of a boss had surprisingly given you that Monday off, knowing you needed to take care of insurance and paperwork for your apartment. But you should've known better. He made you come in that next Sunday to make up for it.

You never heard from any of the BTS members. You knew Jin had your number, so any of them could've reached out if they'd wanted to. You're still a little sad, but things are getting better. You're slowly able to remember that weekend and laugh. You're slowly beginning to let go.

"[Y/N], over here," your boss snaps. You quickly rush over to help translate for a local newspaper. You were dragged to a small political convention and there are multiple American reporters present. You aren't m sure why there's so many English speakers here, but it keeps you busy, so you don't mind.

You're in the middle of translating for the sweetest little reporter when you're suddenly interrupted by your boss. Your company's number one rule is to never interrupt a translation with a client, so you immediately know something is wrong.

"[Y/N], I need you to come with me for a second," he smiles but says it through gritted teeth. "Jeffrey," he shouts to another employee on standby. "Please help this kind gentleman out."

Fuck. I really must've messed up.

You all apologize to the sweet little reporter but he didn't seem to mind at all.

You follow your boss down a hallway and through multiple different doors. You're definitely lost by now.

"Mr. Min," you call out. "Where are we going? Did I do something wrong? Please, the suspense is killing me."

He glances back at you but keeps walking forward. After walking another 2-3 minutes you finally stop in front of two large brown doors.

Before entering, Mr. Min eyes you up and down suspiciously. You're almost on the verge of tears at this point because you have no idea why you're in trouble or why you've been dragged all the way across the building.

"Go in," he finally says. "But you owe me an explanation tomorrow."

Your mouth drops a little bit, eyebrows scrunching in confusion. You watch him walk away, even more confused than before.

Wait so even HE has no idea what I've done? Fuck. Hopefully I'm not getting deported or something.

You smooth out your dress and fix up your hair before entering. Your hand slightly shakes as you reach for the door handle.

Breathe, [Y/N], you haven't done anything wrong.

After taking a couple deep breaths you confidently open up the doors.

The lights are a little bright, so it takes a second for your eyes to focus. After a couple blinks, you stare straight ahead, suddenly feeling your heart drop to your stomach.

In front of you stands 4 men dressed up in suits.

"What the hell-" you say but you're suddenly cut off, as you see Kim Namjoon barreling towards you, enveloping you into a hug.

All of your air leaves your lungs and you're frozen in place as the large man squeezes you tightly. You're pretty much a deer in headlights, you can't even think straight.

What the fuck is happening? I'm supposed to be getting over you. Why are you showing up now?

You look over his shoulder and see Seokjin, Yoongi, and Taehyung all either laughing or shaking their heads at their leader.

After a few moments of you standing there like a statue, Namjoon releases his grip on you, but not completely. He keeps his hands wrapped around your waist as he moves his face just inches from yours.

"Please, [Y/N]." He whispers, looking straight into your eyes. "Please sleep with me."

.....

WHAT?!
