"Mum, did you cheat on dad with Aunt June and have me?", I asked seriously.

Dad froze mid-sentence while instructing Uncle August who dropped the stack of papers he was holding while mum spit out her tea and Aunt June just looked at me with raised eyebrows before she burst out laughing.

"My God! Why would you think that??!!!" She asked between her laughter while Dad chuckled and handed mum a napkin as Uncle August picked up the dropped papers.

I frowned, "I'm so obviously your daughter Aunt, I just look a bit like mum and in the Academy, they said that we have our parent's features and personality so I thought-" Aunt just laughed more at this and so did mum.

My frown deepened, "Stop laughing this instance! I'm being very serious right now." I looked at dad in disbelief as he also started laughing, "Why are you laughing dad? How can you be so sure that I'm your child and not mum and Aunt June's secret one?"

This even made Uncle August chuckle.

"Why is everyone laughing?! This is such a serious topic!" I yelled at them.

Seriously! How can they laugh when I literally caught mum cheating on dad?!

"No, George. I did not cheat on your dad with Aunt June and had you in secret." Mum finally replied as she gasped for breath, clutching her stomach which ached from laughing so much.

Or maybe not.

But I wish she did cheat on dad with Aunt June, then I can have Aunt June as my mom! Like she is so cool (No wonder Uncle August looks at her like she is the ultimate goddess)! And I know I'm cool like her so she must be my mother.

But I get mum instead.

Mum is actually really nice, smart and funny and all but she is just so... So....

Uncool.

She can't do cool magic stuff like Aunt (but it is okay cause I can't do magic either), but mum can't even wield a sword! Like how can you not know how to wield a sword?! What if she gets kidnapped by the pirates and they threaten her to jump in the sea full of crocodiles?! She would have to listen to them cause she can't fight. But if it were me, I would knee them in the 'male weak spot' real hard and then take out my sword to stab them five times each before dumping them all in the sea full of crocodiles (hah! I'm so cool!)!

Dad knows how to wield a sword so he is acceptable (and lowkey cool but he is too much of mum's pet).

I wish mum was cool too.

"Yes, your mum did not cheat on your dad with me." Aunt June confirmed, wheezing a bit, making me sulk a little, "Besides I wouldn't do that to my Archmage.", she sighed dramatically and placed a hand on her chest, "I just wish he would take me as his secretary cause oh God who wouldn't want to work with that piece of fine meat~"

Oh right, Aunt June has a crush on Uncle Mari for almost a month now.

It all started when suddenly a strange man teleported in mum and dad's common study room.

Mum panicked and flung a thick book at the intruder while Dad literally threw his sword at him.

However, the man was able to create a shield in a fraction of second (which was near to impossible) and his blue hair was too similar to Uncle Mari.

And that handsome, tall, lean and slightly muscular man was indeed Uncle Mari.

He later told us that, he had created a potion which was able to make him look older and more handsome. His child-like face turned to that of an experienced stunning knight.

Aunt June and I were in the same room when that happened (me sitting on her lap drawing on some paper while she did her paperwork). I was so surprised to see him that I dropped the ink bottle in my hand splattering it on her work (but she wasn't mad because she can easily make the ink vanish unlike mum who grounded me for a week when the same accident occurred with her paperwork)

Aunt June literally fainted when she knew that the 'holy sweet sex god' like man (whatever that meant) was Uncle Mari, who she once misunderstood for one of Aunt Choco's Academy friends.

Almost all the girls of the empire had a crush on Uncle Mari during those days and the busy Archmage suddenly had all the time in the world to go around showing his beauty to anyone with eyes.

Everyone was amazed by him and his handsome looks.

Everyone except Uncle August who threw death glares at Uncle Mari every time he saw him.

But Uncle Mari is literally the coolest and my most favourite uncle.

Uncle Caiden's sweet and practices sword-wielding with me but it's nothing in comparison to a short trip to the underwater sea in the middle of the sharks in a safe transparent glass bubble which Uncle Mari took me on my sixth birthday (that's one of my best life experience).

Plus, we even had Uncle and niece bonding time over watching knights in the training ground slip because of the blue water puddle which appeared out of nowhere.

We had good laugh over them slipping on each other but when Uncle Caiden accidentally slipped on the puddle which was set for some other knight, Aunt Ly almost slaughtered the two of us, putting an end to our bonding time.

"Shut up June, you are hurting your husband's feelings over here." Mum said, snapping me out of my thoughts as she jabbed her thumb at a sulking Uncle August.

Aunt June groaned, "He is not my husband."

"Oh right, let me reframe it, " mum said with a smirk, "your soon to be husband."

Uncle August blushed as Aunt June groaned before ignoring mum and looking at me with sparkling eyes.

"So you want me to be your mother?" She asked.

"Of course." I replied without hesitation and Aunt June squealed before hugging me, "That's it, I'm taking this child! I always wanted to keep you but your selfish mother wouldn't let me."

"Huh! Like hell you would keep my daughter!" Mum huffed out, "I was the one who gave her birth."

"But you already have Fred as your child." I said.

"So? I want both." She replied, crossing her arms.

"Sharing is caring." I told her and shook my head, "You told me that and now you won't follow it yourself."

"I won't follow it when it comes to my own children." Mum said with finality making me huff.

"So greedy." I mumbled, "Dad." I said after some time, looking at dad, "I broke my wooden sword."

"Again." He sighed, "And Caiden told me that you broke it while beating a knight, for no apparent reason."

Ugh- Uncle Caiden! That snitch!

"No, I had a reason." I retorted, "he wasn't letting me get out of the palace."

"He is not supposed to." Mum replied.

I groaned, "Mum, I'm old enough to go out on my own."

"You're only six, George.", mum replied.

"Six plus two months old. That makes me eight." I replied before frowning, that doesn't seem quite right.

"George." Dad said strictly, "You're not going out of the palace without an escort or without my or your mum's permission." He said making me frown at him and want to go throw his things out of the window, "You will listen to that unless you don't want a new silver sword next month." He added making my anger flew out of the window.

"Silver sword? YESSSSSSSS!" I shrieked happily and ran over to him, jumping on him and hugging him tightly. He hugged me before he patted my head and said, "Listen to you mother okay? And no sneaking out. Then we'll go to the arsenal next month and get a sword, specially designed for you. Sounds good?"

"Great. Sounds great." I told him and quickly pecked his cheek before happily taking off to my small study table in the middle and sitting there.

After a few minutes, Sir Grapes (why is his name so weird?) came in and said, "Princess's companion is here, your majesty."

I frowned, what companion?

"Aha!" Mum said quickly getting up, "We'll be right there." She told Sir Grapes who bowed.

"What companion?" I asked mum, holding her hand and walking down the stairs to the second floor.

Mum grinned down at me, "You're going to have friends George!"

"Uh- but I already have friends." I said.

"Yes, but friends who will stay with you. In the palace." She said making me raise my eyebrow at her.

"Like me and Aunt Seanna. And like Uncle Caiden, Mari and your dad. Those kinds of friends." She tried to explain and I nodded before both of us entered Fred's room.

Fred was reading a book on his bed, a thing he's been doing ever since we got enrolled in the Academy.

"Come on Freddie, time to make friends." Mum said, making Fred turn his head to mum with sparkly eyes.

"Mum!" He grinned before running over to her and giving her a hug. He's always like that with mum but as soon as someone else who isn't a family comes in view, he puts on a calm and composed mask.

Mum pecked his cheek before grabbing both of our hands and making way towards another room.

"Oh and I'll warn you beforehand, " mum said as we approached the room, "They are both originally from Peruka."

My face contracted with disgust as Fred's eye twitched, "Eww. Snake land." I groaned, "Why do we have to make friends with snakes?"

Mum paused before crouching down so we were eye level, "George, you know me and your dad have been trying to improve relationship with these 'snakes', don't you?" She asked and I reluctantly nodded.

Mum and dad have been trying to make peace with Peruka, however, they haven't been very successful at it.

"The emperor of Peruka has been very reluctant to this truce so we decided to take in two children from Peruka as your companions, so he could trust us a bit ." Mum explained, "So this is like a step towards it, alright. You'll help mum do this, won't you?" She asked me and I again nodded, even though I didn't want to.

Cause even if she is my mother, she is an Empress of the empire I live in and I will obey her even if I don't want to.

She smiled, making me smile too, "Good. Now let's get inside." She said before looking at Fred who nodded.

The guard outside the room opened the door to show two pair of redheads sitting on the couch.

When they saw us, the boy stood up and bowed while the other girl just sat there looking at us with a slight glare.

The boy then looked at the girl and grabbed her arm making her stand as well and now, "Blessings and glory upon the moon and stars of Obelia." He said as mum nodded in acknowledgement.

"Georgina and Fred De Alger Obelia, " mum announced, making us look at her.

"Meet Eva and Ezra Miller, your companions."

I looked at the girl who was supposed to be my companion, she looked pretty blank and angry, like she was forced to be here.

Then she stiffly bowed down.

"I'll leave you kids to mingle." Mum said and left the room giving me and Fred a thumbs up.

I turned my head to Fred who approached the red-headed boy with a blank expression.

"I'm Fred de Alger Obelia." He started confidently and extended his hand to the taller boy.

"E-Ezra Miller, your highness. And that is my twin Eva." He said and shook his hand.

I then turned my head to the red-headed girl who didn't look that similar to her twin but had the same hair eye colour as her brother.

I thought twins were supposed to look exactly the same. Guess not.

But honestly, even though it's a bit sad to say, Fred and I look exactly the same. We have the same hair colour, eye colour and features and even the same height.

I approached the red-haired girl who was slightly shorter than her twin but taller than me, "I'm Georgina but you can call me George since we are best friends now and I already know your name so let's just go do a sword duel.", I said and slung an arm around her but she slapped it away, "I'm not sword duelling with you and I'm not your best friend." She spat.

I frowned, I was just trying to fasten up the process since we are going to stay together in the palace and be best friends sooner or later anyway.

"But we will be, it's easier if you just accept it." I told, sounding so intelligent for a second.

She just huffed and said, "I don't want to be friends with you scaredy cats." She said making me frown.

It's not like I want to be friends with two faced snakes either.

But mum said I have to make friends with her.

So I have to.

"Be my friend or I'll throw you out of that window." I said pointing at the adjacent window.

She just smirked, "Sure shortie. I would love to see you try."

I smirked and in a swift motion, I lifted her up on my shoulder and in two quick strides, I threw her out of the window.

"KYAAAAAAAAA!" She shrieked but I quickly caught hold of her hand and she dangled on the window sill. Ezra and Fred gasped and quickly made their way towards the window but I shouted, "Stay back or I'll leave her."

"PULL ME UP!! I'LL DIE!!" She screamed in fear.

"No you won't." I replied, "it's just the second floor. You'll probably break a few bones. That's all."

She had tears in her eyes as she again screamed, "PULL ME UP! EZRA!"

"Y-Your highness, " Ezra said slowly, his eyes filling with tears as well, "P-please forgive my sister. I beg you." He dropped to his knees.

"George, pull her up." Fred warned but I just rolled my eyes at him.

"So, are you going to be my friend?" I asked her as she screamed, "YES! PLEASE PULL ME UP NOW!"

I pulled her up with Fred and Ezra's help and she panted on the floor, tears falling from her eyes.

"So, dear best friend, " I started, "What do your parents do?" I asked her as she glared at me.

"And why should I tell you?" She countered and I glared at her darkly, "Because I can throw you out of the window again." I replied coldly, making her flinch, "Now answer the question."

She opened her mouth and closed it again before standing up and looking at me, "O-only if you answer my questions."

"Sure." I answered with a shrug.

She gulped and opened her mouth to speak again, "My dad was from the Great Peruka Empire however, we had to move to Obelia because of his...work."

"What does he do?" I asked her.

She hesitantly met my eyes, "He-he used to help in- in the s-slavery system.", her eyes lowered.

I froze for a second before relaxing, " He must have been caught then. Dad is very serious about these issues." I replied.

She nodded, "Yes. He was caught and is in jail. Our mother had already passed away so we were moved to the orphanage."

I looked at her for a second with pity before I slung my arm around her again, "Your turn." I told her.

"Huh?"

"You can ask a question." I replied.

"Uh-umm, why do you want to be my friend?" She asked me curiously.

Because mum forced me to.

But that didn't sound quite right so I replied, "Your hair is pretty."

She raised her eyebrows, "That's the only reason?"

"Yes." I said simply. I did love red colour.

"What's so special about red? Do you like roses or something?" She asked me.

"Red is the colour of blood." I replied, "Blood is pretty."

She froze before giving me an incredulous look, mixed with fear, "B-blood?"

"Yeah. It's very shiny and liquidy." I told her, "though it tastes disgusting."

She looked at me weirdly but did not dwell much on the topic.

I got that looks from a lot of people when I told them I loved blood. Mum even wondered if I was a vampire or something and gave me blood to drink (yeah she is weird like that). But after I puked on her dress, she didn't do strange stuff like that again.

Even I don't know the reason as to why I'm so obsessed with red and blood but I just am and I don't like thinking much so I let it be.

After a bit of more talking, we were a little open with each other and I made my way towards mum's study room with Eva, Ezra and Fred following behind.

It was almost lunchtime and I felt like eating steak today so I quickly raised to my tippy toes and pulled on the handle to open the door to see mum sleeping on her chair.

"Dad, it's almost lunchtime, I'm hungry." I told dad who was just sitting beside mum and twirling her hair in his fingers while staring at her sleeping face with weird eyes.

He can be such a creep sometimes.....

"I'll wake your mum, " he said before he called, "Choi, " and then lightly caressed her cheek like he usually would while waking mum, "wake up."

Mum frowned before opening her eyes which were a pretty green colour.

Mum's eyes were really pretty and I sometimes wished I had eyes like her (but dad's eyes are scary -which is very useful- and I have the same eyes as him so it is okay)

She looked in daze for a second before her eyes landed on dad and she smiled and pulled him into her as their lips met.

"Mum, dad. We all still exist." I heard Fred say with a blank tone to his voice making mum and dad separate from each other, mum had a red face while dad had red ears.

"Oh-" she muttered before she grinned and asked,"So Freddie and Ezra, are you.. Like... Friends now?"

"Yeah, he is okay." Fred said and Ezra just bowed.

Mum then turned her attention to me and Eva, "What about you?"

"It was okay." I said and at the same time Eva said, "I almost died."

I glared at her and she hid a smirk while mum's eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"What do you mean?" Mum asked and I shrugged in response.

Then she turned to Fred, demanding answers but he shrugged as well, making me smile at my awesome brother.

"Umm- Princess Georgina threw her out of the window and kept her hanging there." Ezra muttered making me throw him a death glare while mum gasped.

Ugh- I'm gonna get a huge lecture for this...

"What?! George! We need to have a serious talk about this!" Mum scowled at me.
