《Being a Villainess is No Joke》Epilogue

9 Years Later
In the busy yet quiet palace, came a loud voice, wailing, followed by giggles.
"Am sure! You are adopted!" Screamed a five-year-old pink-haired girl with indigo red eyes.
"Noooo! Y-you are l-lyin!!!" A cute five-year-old boy with the same hair and eye colour as his sister, screeched. Tears flowing down his big eyes making all the maids in the corridor giggle and coo at how cute he was.
"I am not! You know that too!" She said, laughing when the boy started sobbing again.
"U-uncle Caiden!!!" He whined, rushing to the blond man who was talking to the Archmage in the central room just beside where he was standing.
His favourite uncle scooped him up in his arms and tried to soothe him while his other mean uncle with long blue hair looked at him with amused eyes.
"What's wrong Freddie?" Caiden asked, patting the small child with his huge scratched hands, carrying the scars of years of wielding a sword.
"G-George....", Fred whined, "George s-said am a-adopted." a sob escaped him and George burst out laughing, latching onto her stomach.
"Fred, you know that's not-", "GEORGINA!", Mari barked out with mock seriousness, looking at Georgina with amused eyes.
George steadied, biting onto her lower lip to stop herself from laughing out loud.
"We told you not to tell him!", Mari finished making her burst out laughing, with the other maids in the room who were giggling and even Caiden struggled to suppress a chuckle.
The only one not humoured by this was a petrified Fred.
"We trusted you with this information, George. How could you do this to us?" Mari then asked sadly, unable to hide his smirk.
"Don't listen to him!" Caiden told Fred who was trembling.
"M-make mean u-uncle stop talking!" Fred cried.
"Mari! Stop! The kid is crying nonstop, cut him some slack." Caiden said sternly but it didn't stop George from commenting, "See Fred, I told you. You were adopted."
Fred looked at his sister angrily as tears still escaped his indigo-red eyes, "You are always teasing me!" He screamed at her, "I hate you!" And then dashed off towards his room which was on the second floor.
George's heart dropped at the words.
I hate you.
She obviously loved teasing her brother and annoying the shit out of him till he was crying. Yet her heart couldn't take it when he said such cruel words to her.
"What did you do now, George?" Came a tired voice and George turned to look at her mother, "I could hear him crying from across the hallway."
"Mum," Geroge whispered, her eyes watering but she refused to cry, "Fred said he hates me." She said clutching onto her mother's hand who sat down on the couch beside Caiden, "He was not serious, right?"
Haeun stared at her weird daughter, wondering whose traits she got.
Fred was quiet and studious, which he inherited from her and too much of a crybaby (it was cute so she didn't mind much) which was probably Raashid since she never cries.
And George was the polar opposite of her brother, a troublemaker and a brilliant fighter, which was all Raashid again.
But then, Raashid swore that he never caused his parents any trouble. Messing with paperwork, clothes and painting the walls with his mother's favourite lipstick was far from it.
"Did Fred stutter when he said that?" Haeun asked her daughter who thought for a second before shaking her head no, "Then he meant it." Haeun said seriously making a single tear escape George's eyes.

"Fuck!" George cursed, wiping her tear, "I fucked up!"
Haeun stared at her in horror before her eyes snapped to Mari who quickly raised his hands in surrender before she screeched, "JUNE! You bi-b...ugh!" She stared at her daughter before changing the word, "You dog's female version! Stop teaching my child bad words!"
A shout came in response from June, who was sitting and doing Haeun's paperwork in the adjacent room, "I didn't teach her shit! Stop screaming you good for nothing fat empress!"
"I'm not fat!" Haeun screamed back.
"No..it wasn aunt June." George quickly said, defending her favourite aunt though she did learn the new word from her, "It was...uncle August!"
Haeun sighed, knowing pretty well that August wouldn't dare curse in front of the royals, only June had enough guts to do so.
"I need a new secretary..." Haeun grumbled.
"I still love your secretary, Choco is a bit too diligent. Are you sure you don't wanna exchange?" Mari offered the same offer to Haeun for like the 50th time. Choco was just appointed as his new secretary after the old one quit. And even though Haeun would love to be with her little sister more often, she replied, "Nah, she's smart. Even though she curses a lot, she does finish her work on time."
No matter how many times she said that she needed a new secretary, she never changed June. For her, June couldn't be replaced, though she would never say that out loud. Besides, Choco idolised Mari and that was the only reason she readily filled in the position of his secretary.
"So, are you going to apologise to your brother?" Haeun asked her daughter who reluctantly nodded.
As Haeun was getting up, someone greeted her, "Good afternoon, your majesty."
She turned around to see Percy making his way towards her and she wished him back, feeling a little dejected that he still wouldn't call her aunt.
"Dad, " he said, his green eyes looking at Caiden, who was like the adult version of his son, "you need to be on training grounds right now, all the knights are waiting."
"Brother Percy, " George said, quickly rushing towards him, "Spar with me again tomorrow, okay?" She asked, or more like ordered him excitedly as he ruffled her hair.
"Sure." The seven-year-old replied in a monotone, not inheriting his father's cheerful personality.
George beamed before she remembered that she still hadn't made up with Fred. She returned to her mother's side, sulking, as Percy and his father left the room to go to the training grounds.
Mari left soon after, telling that he had things to do.
"You're busy quite a lot these days." Haeun said, her smirk obvious, "Are you seeing someone?"
Mari just rolled his eyes, "I'm as single as one can be. I don't have any intention of getting tied up in a relationship." He said, "Its just the Archmage duties."
"Yeah, you're 'the Archmage' now." She said with a grin, knowing Mari deserved it after years of hard work.
Mari smirked and teleported. Only a few mages were given the permission to teleport in and out of the palace. And Mari was one of those few people, so were June and August.
Haeun and George made there way towards Fred's room quietly.
Haeun knocked on her son's door before entering to look at him talking with his father.
Raashid had also heard his son crying and left to console him while his wife dealt with George.

Fred had stopped crying but his eyes teared up as soon as he saw his mother.
"Mum!" He whined, rushing to hug her legs and started crying again.
This is why Haeun always sent her husband to deal with Fred.
Fred would always cry when he saw his mother while he tried to put a strong front in front of his father.
"Shush." She told her crying son.
"Mum...." He sobbed, "I-I'm not a-adopted, right?"
"Of course not." She said while patting his back while Raashid quietly grumbled, "I have been explaining him for the last ten minutes and he still doubts."
"If you are adopted, then so is George." She told him, "You two look exactly the same, there's no way you can't be related." She tried to soothe him while George whined, "I don't look like him. I am way manlier than him."
Raashid chuckled quietly while Haeun glared at her daughter, "George, I think you have something to say to Fred, no?"
George gulped and hesitantly said, "Am sorry... I shouldn have teased you like that."
Fred's eyes stopped leaking as he stared at his sister then let out a small huff, "Itz okay....and am also sorry for saying that I hate you..... I don hate you."
George beamed at her brother who let a shy smile take place on his lips.
"Okay, now do the 'make up hug'!" Haeun said happily as she looked at the two cutelings (cute plus siblings).
George spread her arms and Fred slowly went to her and then they hugged.
And Haeun was sure that she just had a heart attack from how cute the scene was.
"They are so adorable." Raashid muttered as Haeun leaned against his chest, resting her head on his shoulder while his arm snaked around her waist. The two of them gazed at their cute children in front of them as happiness filled both of their chests.
A knock broke their stance as August entered, "Your majesty, I have a letter from Duchess Seanna and a letter for the Princess." He said looking down at George.
"Uncle August, why do you still not call me George?" She asked as she took the letter addressed to her.
"Because you are a Princess and Princesses deserved to be called that." August said simply. George smirked, "Then soon enough, you will be calling me 'Emperor'! Because I will rule this empire!"
August smiled at the kid and then asked Haeun where June was to try and hit on her (they still weren't together).
George looked at the letter with the leopard emblem.
The letter was from her cousin Ginny, Uncle Aiden and Aunt Jasmine's 9-year-old daughter.
She kept it aside and decided to read it later. Right now, she wanted to sneak in the kitchen and steal some chocolates for herself and Fred.
The cooks and chefs usually just gave it to her if she asks them but there's no fun in that. So she has to steal.
And after that, she wanted to fill her mother and father's common study with the useless perfume she got on her birthday last month. She doesn't understand why people gave her all these strange stuff when they should be giving her something more useful like a sword or a dagger (to threaten the guards that won't allow her to get out of the palace).
She left Fred's room after that, leaving him to play to himself while her mother read Seanna's letter.
"Her second child is also a boy." She told Raashid who was snuggling against his wife, "She has invited us for his naming ceremony."
Raashid merely hummed, snuggling into the crook of her neck as Haeun continued, "Last time, I somehow convinced Seanna to name her son Bill but this time, its Hayden's turn to name him." She whined.
Haeun had decided to name all the newborn children she knows as the characters of Harry Potter.
And so far she had managed to do that.
June had nicknamed her as 'Sly plus Fat Name Manipulator' for the shit she's been doing and Haeun regrets nothing.
"Which character is it this time?" Raashid asked.
"Ron."
"Just write a letter to Hayden, congratulating him and stuff and mention how much you hate the name 'Ron' and would appreciate if he named his child anything but Ron." Raashid said as Haeun smirked, "As far I know the bastard, he'll definitely name his son Ron or something like that just to piss you off."
"Right." Haeun said as she snuggled into Raashid before August awkwardly coughed, "You majestys, ummm...paperwork..is... quite a lot."
Both, the emperor and empress groaned and started making their way back to their common study while August made his way to another corner of the place to an errand.
As soon as they opened the door, Raashid's nose crinkled and Haeun cursed, "George! Ugh!"
"The kid lives up to her name." Raashid commented after instructing the guards to summon June.
"Absolutely." Haeun agreed as June hurriedly made her way towards their study.
"I love your daughter and how she annoys you but I hate it when I have to clean her mess." June grumbled after making the stench vanish and headed back to her study to finish rest of the reports.
When Raashid and Haeun were seated on their desks, Raashid began, "So.. I've been thinking we should start giving Fred and George poison training."
Haeun instantly replied, "No."
Raashid sighed, "Its necessary, Choi. I've been given the same training and so was my father and his father. It's not that hard."
"I don't think it's necessary, Raashid. This is still a novel world, people over here love the Royals and they would never scheme things to kill us." Haeun reasoned.
"You're right but, better be safe than sorry." Raashid replied but Haeun was still reluctant. She had heard that the poison training was particularly painful and she didn't want to see her kids in pain.
Raashid understood that but he worried more about their children's lives in future and didn't want to risk losing anyone of them. He'd rather they suffer pain now and become strong instead of growing up with a weakness which can be used by their enemy.
"Fine." Haeun finally agreed, "But only Fred, George isn't the heir so I don't think she should go through the pain. I don't want my baby Fred to go through that either but....." She trailed off, not knowing what to say.
Obelia was in a way supporting yet not exactly supporting gender equality.
Female children have the rights to inherit noble titles similar to that of male. However, only a male heir can ascend to the throne. That was an inflexible rule.
If the current Empress gives birth to a son, he'll directly become the heir and according to the birth control measures of Obelia, no other child must be delivered. However, if she gives birth to a daughter, the Empress needs to give birth to children till a son is born and he will take the throne while the daughters will be given a duchy as soon as they reach their 19th birthday. In case of two sons, as in twins, the firstborn will be the heir.
Since Fred was a boy, he automatically becomes the next heir. Hence needed to be prepared to rule the empire from an early stage.
"He'll be fine." Raashid reassured her.
August knocked on the door and entered, saying, "Here is the list for desirable companions for the prince and the princess you asked for." He kept down a stack of paper adding more work to Haeun's already full table.
"Thank you, August. And please tell a maid to bring in my afternoon tea." She said, rubbing her temples and going through the list.
"Yes, your majesty." August bowed before exiting the study.
A few minutes later a maid came in and silently set Haeun's tea on the table before leaving again.
Haeun slowly took a sip before almost spitting it out on her paperwork.
"Did George mess with your tea again?" Raashid asked, handing down his chocking wife a glass of water.
"That little-" Haeun took a deep breath calming herself down. The kid added salt in the tea. A lot of salt.
"Maybe you should give her a scolding like you did half a year ago." Raashid suggested with a chuckle as he was reminded of that day.
George had sneaked into their study and jumbled up all the paperwork.
Raashid was mad at her but not as mad as his wife.
He was reminded of that day when the orphanage was burnt all over again.
Haeun screamed at her daughter for the first time. Really screamed. Her rage was overflowing and even June was surprised.
Raashid failed to calm his wife cause as soon as he put in a single word of his, his wife would snap at him giving him that deathly glare which made him want to go hide in a corner of a room.
Haeun only stopped when George started crying, which was a rare sight again.
George was quiet for an entire month after that, no teasing, no messing things up, nothing.
She became herself next month but remembered the lesson to not mess with her mother's paperwork again.
"Nah, I don't like seeing her cry." Haeun admitted, calling the maid and making her change the tea again.
Both of them then started finishing up their paperwork for the rest of the day and managed to wrap it up before dinner.
The family dined together and went to their own rooms.
Raashid and Haeun had a common bedroom and their kids had separate ones but rather frequently, the twins slept in the same bed as their parents, making Raashid order a special jumbo-sized Emperor's bed to fit all of them in.
And today was one of those days.
While Raashid and Haeun were all cuddled up and ready to fall asleep, George jumped in between them, making space for herself before latching onto her father.
She liked her father a lot cause she aspired to become like him.
Become powerful, strong and the Emperor of Obelia, just like her father.
Raashid smiled at his daughter and placed a light kiss on top of her head, muttering a small 'Goodnight' as his wife watched them, love shining in her eyes.
"Mum.." Came a small voice making her turn her head to look at a shy looking Fred at the foot of the bed, fiddling with his fingers.
She smiled at her cute boy and waved at him to come join them which he did with a small smile.
The family fell asleep with a smile on their lips like any other night.
