Cole's POV

I cross my legs and stare over at Addylin. She was an atheist? Why the hell have I become a born again virgin then?

"What?" She questions, fidgeting in her spot.

"I'm sorry I'm just really confused," I state. "Why are you waiting till marriage if your a atheist?"

"That isn't about god," she answers. "That's my personal belief."

Now I'm even more confused. "You'll need to expand on that," I say.

"I've seen what happens to girls who believe they have fallen in love with a guy," she says. "They sleep with him and then he dumps her the next day."

"Okay," I say.

"I want someone to actually be in love with me," she states. "And I won't know that's real to I'm standing in front of him in a wedding dress, saying I do."

I squint my eyes at her. "So what your saying is, that when I do say that I love you, you won't believe me till, I marry you?"

"Yes," she nods.

"Sorry to say this, but I think that's a load of bullshit," I say.

She frowns at me. "Well it's what I want, so your gonna have to deal with it."

"Addylin," I whisper softly. "What your saying, makes me feel like shit."

"Why?" She asks.

"Because," I snap. "How am I suppose to fall in love with you, when I know that you don't believe a word I say."

"That's not-"

"You just said it was!" I yell in frustration. I stand up and run my hands through my hair. "I need to leave."

"Cole-"

"I'll see you later," I say. I grab my bag and walk out of her room. I get to the front door and grab my keys and then put my shoes on.

A hand surprises me and grabs my shoulder. I grab the persons neck and shove them against the wall.

I'm met with a gasping for breath Jade. I let her go and she coughs. "What the fucks wrong with you?" She croaks.

"Don't surprise me," I say.

"Your fucked up in the head aren't you?" She asks, rubbing her neck.

"You would be too, if you had hot water poured all over your body," I growl. "Or if your toes and fingers were broken everyday."

Jade looks up at me in sympathy. "Wanna drink?" She asks.

"Yes please," I grunt.

She grabs her jacket and smirks. "Let's go."

"What is this place?" I ask Jade, following her into a strange bar. What looked like a biker gang, sat by the pool table, smoking cigarettes. There was a woman with her boobs practically out, serving the tables and a tiny guy who was slapping a guy for pinching his ass.

This place is very weird.

Jade sits on a stool and slaps the bar. "We would like two Scotch neat and two tequila shots."

The lady behind the bar nods and starts making them. I sit beside Jade hesitantly. "Why are you being nice to me?" I ask.

Jade taps her fingers on the bar. "Because I want to apologise for how I've been treating you lately."

"Why?" I question.

"Look before when I was mean, I didn't know what happened to your face," she claims. "I just thought you were a dumbass kid and spilt hot water over yourself."

"Only half of my face is burnt," I state.

"A thing called surgery," she says. The bartender comes back and hands us our drinks. Jade quickly shots her tequila and then scowls her scotch.

This women is crazy.

She raises her eyebrow at me. I roll my eyes and do the same as she did. "Your crazy," I say.

"Yes I am," she says, proudly.

"How are you and James?" I ask Jade.

"We broke up," she answers.

"It wasn't because of me was it?" I ask.

"Oh no, we broke up way before that," she states. "We occasionally still have sex, I just let Addylin believe we are together, because she doesn't like it when girls let men use their bodies."

"Oh," I say. "So you and James could never work?"

She shrugs. "Maybe, you never know."

I nod. "Right."

"Why were you storming out of our house?" She asks. "You and Addy fight?"

"Yeah," I mutter.

"Can I ask what about?"

"Her no sex till marriage thing," I say.

She scowls at me. "Your gonna be like every other man I'm guessing."

"I'm not like them," I state. "I mean I am, but I think I know why they were angry now."

"Why?" She asks. She clicks her fingers at the bartender and points to her glass. "Our cups can't fill themselves."

"She told me she was an atheist," I say. "Which I found confusing because only Christians wait till marriage for sex. Then she told me it was a personal belief and that she didn't believe a guy loved her till they got married," I explain.

"Oh," she says. "Your mad about the fact, that she won't believe your in love with her."

"Yes," I answer. The bartender pours more scotch into our glasses. "I just don't understand why she would be in this relationship with me if she didn't trust me."

"Let's not think about that right now," Jade says. "Let's get drunk."

I nod. "Sounds like a plan."
