Addylin's POV

Jade lets James into the apartment, just as I was about to serve dinner. His eyes widen when he first sees Cole, but doesn't comment. "You must be Cole," James says. They shake hands. "I'm James."

"Nice to meet you," Cole says. "I'm glad you didn't laugh like your girlfriend did when she first saw me."

James sends a glare Jade's way. "She has a hard way of showing emotion."

"No she just doesn't like me," Cole says.

"Dinners ready," I announce. I grab Cole's and I's and sit at the table. Cole kisses my cheek, before sitting beside me.

"So what do you do, Cole?" James ask, as he sits down across from Cole.

"I own-"

"He's an artist," I answer.

"Oh wow," James says. "What do you draw?"

"I paint portraits," Cole states.

"Do you sell a lot?" James asks.

"I make about 70,000 a year," Cole says. "But that's because I own a business and also sell other people's art too."

"Do you have an art gallery?" James asks.

"No I sell them online," Cole says. "What do you do?"

"I'm a cop," James answers.

"Oh yeah?" Cole questions. "Didn't you guys get some harassment today, with some Girl Scouts?"

"Yeah," James answers. "How'd you know that?"

"I was the harassment," Cole says, smiling. I look down at his plate and see he's done.

How did he eat all that so quickly and still talk?

"Sorry man," James says. "You know how kids are like?"

"I don't, because they don't get close to me," Cole says. "They mostly scream and run away."

"No wonder why," Jade mutters. I kick her under the table and she flinches.

"Are there any leftovers?" Cole asks. I nod. "Can I give them to Ronny?"

"Sure," I answer. "But he will probably be full."

"Why?" Cole asks, standing up.

I bite my bottom lip. "Because I gave him his own plate."

He chuckles and leans down kissing me. "Your too cute."

He walks into the kitchen and I go back to my dinner, seeing the other couple staring at me intently. "He's nice," James comment. "I see why you like him."

Jade scowls at him. "Don't encourage her."

"Jade if she wants to be with him, shouldn't you support that?" James asks. "I'm sure Addylin has questioned our relationship, but she's still supportive."

"Addylin likes us together," Jade says. She looks at me, waiting for her to agree with me.

This has never been an issue before.

Plus I've never lied to Jade.

"Well-"

"Are you kidding me?" Jade explodes. "Why don't you like us together?"

"I didn't say I didn't like you two together," I state, nervously fiddling my fingers. "I just don't think you have a lot in common."

"We do," Jade snaps. "James name some."

"Uh we both like pizza," he says.

"Are you guys finished?" I ask. James nods and hands me his plate. He takes Jade's and also passes it to me. I walk back to the kitchen and smile at Cole who was doing the dishes. "You didn't have to do that," I say, placing the plates in the sink.

"I don't mind," he says. "Plus i wanted to give you guys alone time to talk about me."

"James likes you," I say.

"Good to know," he says. "Jade still hates me?"

I nod. "Yeah. Even more now."

"Why?" He asks.

"Because she found out, I don't think her and James are a perfect match," I mumble.

"Damn Addylin," he says, wrapping his arms around me. "Your so sexy when you fight back."

I giggle and cuddle into his chest. "Your sexy too."

"Is there dessert?" Cole whispers in my ear. I pull away and gasp in horror.

"I-I didn't make any," I gasp. "H-how could I-I forget to do that?"

"Maybe you were so focused on making Jade and I like each other, that you forgot," Cole suggests. "But tomorrow night you have to make dessert."

"I thought the deal was that you had to be nice to jade to earn a dinner?" I question.

"I was nice," he argues. I raise an eyebrow at him. "I was nicer than normal."

"I guess I could make dinner," I sigh.

He growls playfully and places his lips on mine.

Now what should I make?
