Cole's POV

Why is Addylin friends with that bitch?

She saw my face and laughed.

She. Fucking. Laughed.

There's a knock at my door, as I sat in my lounge room in the dark, so I stand up and open it.

My ma stood there, with Ronny by her side. She lets Ronny off the leash and he runs into my apartment. "I met your lady," she says.

She walks in and I follow her. "My lady?"

"The one from the supermarket," ma states. "I've met her before today too."

"You have?" I question. She sits down on the couch and I sit beside her.

"She has a bad stutter," Ma says. "She should get it checked."

"Ma she has anxiety," I say. "She gets nervous around new people."

"Oh," she says. "That makes sense."

"Did you talk to her today?" I ask.

She nods. "Ronny ran over to her."

"He loves her," I state.

"I asked her how Ronny knew her and she said she knew you," she says. She starts getting nervous. "I then asked her if she knew you from therapy."

"Ma!"

"I'm sorry," she says. "I didn't know you hadn't told her."

"I haven't even told her how this happened," I say, indicating to my face.

"Maybe you should," she says. "That's if you want to get close to her."

"It probably won't happen," I say. "Her roommate isn't fond of me."

"Who gives a shit about her roommate," Ma says. "It's what she thinks, that matters."

"I guess your right," I murmur.

"I am right," Ma states.

I get up and grab my keys off the hook. "Lock the door when you leave," I tell ma. She nods and then I head out the door.

I'm going to go see Addylin.

I pull into her driveway and groan when I see that bitches bike there.

I get out of my car and walk up her steps and then knock on the door. The door opens and Jade is the one holding the door knob. "Oh it's you," she says. "Unless you have my pizza I suggest you leave."

"I'm here to see Addylin," I say, gritting my teeth.

"She's not in," she says.

I smell food and glare at her. "I know she's here cause I can smell her cooking."

She huffs. "You don't deserve her, so just fuck off."

"Jade who is-"

Addylin comes into view and her face brightens when she sees me. "Cole. Hi."

She shoves Jade our of the way and surprises me, by hugging me. I could smell her hair. It was lavender and coconut.

She pulls away and blushes, fiddling with her fingers. "Sorry, I'm just happy to see you."

Jade scowls at me, from behind Addylin. "I just wanted to thank you for dinner last night," I say. "Are you busy tomorrow?"

"I'm not busy," she murmurs.

"I was thinking you could come over and see my paintings," I say. "If you want."

She smiles up at me. "I would love to!"

"Cool," I whisper.

"I'm making cookies," Addylin says. "Want to take some with you?"

"Sure," I answer. I follow her into the kitchen and my eyes widen at how many cookies were on the bench. There were choc chip cookies, chocolate cookies, monte Carlos, jam hearts and a whole lot more.

I watch her as she gets out a container and starts putting a lot of them into the container. She then grabs a marker and writes my name with a heart on the end.

Cute.

She hands it to me and surprises me again, by kissing my cheek (burnt side). "These ones are the best," she says.

"Why's that?" I ask, smiling down at her.

"These ones are for people I like," she says. "And I like you."

She blushes and giggles. We hear Jade clear her throat and turn to her. "I think it's time for Cole to leave."

Addylin huffs a little but doesn't comment. "I'll walk you to your car," she says. I nod and walk out the door. While Addylin wasn't looking, I flip Jade off. She just glares and slams the front door. "I-I'm Sorry about Jade," she mumbles. "She's normally really nice."

"I don't care what she thinks of me," I state. "It's what you think, that I care about."

She giggles and blushes again. "What time do you want me at your house?" She asks.

"10, 11," I answer. "I'll text you the address."

She nods. "O-okay."

Before I could think, I lean down and place a soft kiss against her lips. When I pull away her mouth was agape. "See you tomorrow," I whisper.

She quickly nods and watches as I get into my car. I place the container of cookies onto the passenger seat and then start the car. I reverse out of her driveway and then drive off.

I can't wait for tomorrow
