Olivia (POV)

It was almost 2 in afternoon when Brandon left the apartment. Not feeling like to study anymore, I placed all my books and laptop back on my study table clearing my bed.

I still have time until Freya come, so I decided to take a nap as I didn't get much last night.

I was so tired that I doze off immediately.

It was 4:30 when my stomach grumbled waking me up from my slumber. Sliding off my bed lazily, I walked downstairs towards kitchen.

Opening the fridge I saw a packet of bread and thought of making a sandwich. Taking all the ingredients out, I started preparing it.

I took my sandwich and coffee and went to living room. Settling myself down on couch, I turned on the TV. Flipping through the channels not knowing what to watch, I wonder what is wrong with me? I mean I want day off, but when I get one I don't know how to actually spend it.

"Ugh" I groaned when I got bored of flipping around the channels.

My phone vibrates receiving a notification. Looking at it, I saw it was the notification for the "Monster" song premiere of Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber. I jumped out of the couch excitedly, dancing all around. Another new song.

Calming myself, I joined the live chat on YouTube. Damn so many people are commenting, he won't even notice my comment.

"Hey guys" and there they are, OMG.

Call me stupid or anything, I really don't care. I'm superrrr crazy about Shawn Mendes.

The song started to play and I can't take my eyes off. How can someone be this hot?

Mr Maxwell.

Huh??? What

My eyes widened, when I realized what just I thought. Did I really compare Mr. Maxwell to Shawn Mendes? Never in my life I have compare a guy with my Shawn.

You like Mr. Maxwell, duh. My subconscious said loudly

Placing my phone aside, I stood up pacing around the living room.

I stop walking when I heard key jiggling, Freya came in placing her bag on the table.

When her eyes fell on me, she crunched her eyebrows at me.

"What happened? Why are you frozen?" She took a step forward.

"I like him" I mumble

"Him? Who?"

"Mr. Maxwell" I admitted

She looked at me for a second, then burst out laughing,

"You, haha, I hahahah, omgg" she laughed so loudly that even our neighbors could hear.

"Will you stop laughing?" I glared at her

"Yes" she replied but soon she started laughing again

"Fine, I don't want to talk about it" I started walking to my room when Freya grab my hand and stopped me

"Okay okay fine I won't laugh. Now tell me what happened all of sudden? Even tho I knew it already" she said

"I know. But I thought it was just attraction, but today I compared him with Shawn Mendes you know I have never done that before" I explained her

"Mhmmm. So what are you going to do about it? Tell him?" She asked

"What? No" I exclaimed

"Why?"

"I'm scared what if he doesn't feel the same" I said fidgeting with my hands

"How would you find that out if you don't ask him?" She has a point, but I have never done this before and I am scared of getting rejected.

"You know what, let's talk about it some other day. We have to get ready" I changed the topic not wanting to spoil my mood

"Yeah sure. I'm gonna take bath" with that she went off to her room, I too went to take a shower.

I have already decided what I would wear for tonight. December is almost here and it's cold outside. It was a turtle neck black woolen dress that reach my mid thigh and a black & white checks overcoat paring it with black stockings and brown plump heels.

"How do I look?" Freya came up in my room whirling around to show dress. She was wearing a white color dress with a blue leather jacket paring it with ankle boots.

"Hot hot hot" I mimicked her line she used the day we went to club.

She laughed while making me sit on the chair facing the mirror.

"How do I style your hair?" She asked

"Just curl them" I replied

After she was done curling and doing my make up, I looked at myself into the mirror

"You gotta teach me how to do makeup. I really need it" I giggle while I examine my face, I look beautiful and confident.

"Now move lemme get ready"

"Mrs Williams" I hugged her as soon as I saw her.

It's been 10 mins since we arrived at the orphanage. I asked Freya if she wanna go inside to see Mrs Williams, she said she would sit here and enjoy the event.

"Olivia I was wondering if you could give a short speech today about the orphanage and kids, it would be a good thing as you have always been there for these kids" she asked placing her hands on my shoulders. She is an inch smaller than me but she is not petite woman rather she is tall and vivacious.

"Sure Mrs. Williams. That would be an honor" I smiled at her. I know I haven't prepare but I will just speak from my heart.

"Very well then, I must go and check things out" with that we started walking towards the park area.

When I reached there, my eyes searching for Freya but it landed on him.

Mr. Maxwell was already looking at me but when my eyes fell upon him, he looked away. Strange.

Taking a seat on the 3rd row, I watched the two girls performing a song on the stage. Everyone clapped for the girls who sang so beautifully. Smiling I remember how I used to recite a poetry back in those days.

Mrs. Williams than introduce all those benefactor and thanking them for helping these children.

Everyone was having there refreshments, the event was about to end which means it was my turn to speak. I walked towards the stage, standing behind the podium.

Taking deep breaths, gathering up all the courage, "Good evening everyone"

I said capturing everyone's attention.

The audience looked at me waiting for me to continue.

"I was 18 when I moved out of this orphanage" I gulped when I said that sentence, my eyes moving around but then settled on that one person. His eyes were wide in surprise

"Even after that I visit here twice a week. When I used to live here, I remember how excited I used to get for this event. You know getting dressed, eating delicious food but most importantly getting love. That's what we crave for. These children feels happy seeing you here because you came here for them. This is the day where they are loved the most. So I wanted to thank you all for being here today, for being here for these children. And thank you Mrs. Williams for being the best mother these children and I can ever have" I looked at Mrs. Williams who was all tears, smiling at me.

Climbing down from the stage I hugged her while all the people started clapping.

"Me me me" Lily came running with all other children following after her.

Kneeling down I hugged them, my eyes getting wet. I adore this kids very much.

I was smiling and bidding goodbye to the guest, when Freya marched up towards me.

"Hey, listen. There is this guy I met and-"

"Freya, you can go. I'm fine. I will hail a cab" cutting her sentence in between I told her it was fine. Craning my neck, I see a guy waiting for her, His face was not so visible, all I can see is his tall figure.

"Ohh I love you so much. Text me when you reach home bbye" she hugged me run back towards her new guy.

Everyone had already left, I walked towards Mrs. Williams's office to say goodnight.

"Mrs. Williams" I entered the office to see Mr. Maxwell was also sitting there.

Both eyes turned towards me, "it's getting late and I have work tomorrow"

"Are you going alone?" Mrs. Williams asked while Mr. Maxwell was typing something on his phone. He was clearly ignoring me.

Mhmmm.....

"Yes, I will call for a cab" I said waving my phone up.

"I will drop you" Mr. Maxwell intervene still looking at his phone

"Huh?" I looked at him if I heard right

"I will drop you" this time his eyes on me.

"Oh that would be great" Mrs. Williams smiled.

I didn't reply.

He is a very weird man, first he didn't even said a single word to me the entire evening and now he wants to give me a ride.
