《ORPHANAGE GIRL》Chapter 9

I woke up with a terrible headache. My throat is parched, my eyes are paining.
I opened my eyes but closing it back because the sunlight is making my headache more miserable. I blinked my eyes rapidly getting used to the morning lights.
I lay in my bed for few more minutes, groaning and regretting about having drink. I swore to myself that I would never touch alcohol again.
I pushed myself off the bed and walked towards bathroom still my hands on my head. I gasp in horror when I saw myself into the mirror.
My hair looks like a bird nest, my makeup is smudged, my eyes looks like raccoon's eyes, and my dress is crumbled up.
Ughh! What a great start of the day.
I brushed my teeth and took a nice bath. Changed myself in oversized t-shirt and jeans. I pulled my hair back in a tight pony tail. I just put some moisturizer onto my face then head off to the kitchen.
My head feels like it is about to explode, I made some coffee for Freya and me, as she would soon be downstairs.
I pour my coffee in a cup and sat on the chair.
"Mhmmm" I sigh in pleasure when I took a sip of my coffee. I feel better but I still feel hangover.
"Ugh. My head hurts, my head hurts" Freya cried sitting next to me.
"Yeah mine too" I put my cup down, then pressing my fingers tip on my head massaging my temple.
"I don't even remember drinking. I don't remember anything" I complained still massaging my head
"Ohh I remember everything"
I looked at Freya, she have this silly smile on her face, giving me a creep. I don't really like that smile. It means I have done something stupid.

"What did I do?"
"Lots of things. Where should I start from?" She teased
"Tell me now"
"Well you got yourself drunk. And then Mr. Maxwell carried you and drop you off at the apartment, Again"
I looked at her with my eyes wide and my mouth open.
"He did not"
"Yes. He did. I was there"
We sat in silence. I observing the new information that I just don't remember I actually did. How? How can I be that stupid?
"Looks like he is your knight in shining armor" Freya wiggled her brows
I glare at her to which she raised her hands up in mocking surrender
"What am I gonna do?" I asked my hands on my head
"Nothing. Just pretend you don't remember"
"Yeah like that would be easy. You know I suck at acting"
"Well than thanks him. He dropped you off at the apartment twice, when you were not okay. I sometimes feel he care for you" she said walking towards the kitchen and placing both our cups in sink.
I didn't answer that. We barely know each other. My head was hurting more now.
"Do we have Advil in the medicine box my head is hurting really bad" I asked Freya going towards the cabinet to look into medicine box.
"There might be some. And give one to me"
I opened the box, and saw that we only have one tablet left.
"We only have one" I shouted as she went to her room
When she came downstairs, I told her
"There is this medicine shop near the restaurant, I will buy it front there. You have this" passing her the tablet and headed off to my room.
Is the sun too bright today or is it just because of my hangover. I reached the restaurant on time.

Greetings Liam and Claudia on my way to kitchen. They didn't asked me anything, looks like Freya took care of it. Otherwise it would be too awkward if they knew about Mr. Maxwell
I took my notepad and started taking orders.
By the time my shift was over I was beyond exhausted. My head hurts more than morning and I remember I still need to buy Advil from the pharmacy.
I bid goodbye to my fellow workers and walked towards the pharmacy shop.
The bell jingles when I entered inside, the shop owner welcomed me with a smile.
I straightly went towards the medicine stuffs, looking at labels of different medicines.
As I saw the packet of Advil, I grabbed them and turn around to go to the payment counter but instead of it I clashed on hard wall.
"Ow" I winched raising to rest my hands on the wall but the wall was quite warm and wearing a cloth?
"Uh oh" I murmur Know that it wasn't a wall but a person
I slowly peek at the wall person and the person was no other than Mr. Maxwell

The world isn't fair. If anything, the inherent injustice of the world is what separates it from the fiction we so adore. Luis Freighthold knew this all too well, and that was why it took a bit longer than it should have to realise when he suddenly had everything he could ever have wanted. Raised in a working-class single-father home, Luis had no other escape than fiction. Specifically, vampire stories of varying quality and genre. There was something appealing about the ability to fly, turn into shadows and become smoke. Danger. An unfamiliarity with the social world that rejected him so. Was it so wrong for him to hope for a different life? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, now he had it—a lust for blood and abilities beyond the understanding of civil man. Could you really say that he had anything left to complain about? A vampire story following an unconventional vampire boy forced to accept that maybe becoming a vampire doesn't magically solve all your problems. As a matter of fact, it might just make a whole bunch of them even worse. Regardless, Luis is prepared to try everything to live up to the vampire books he had previously gorged on. What did it matter that his vampire form had no teeth, replaced instead by a long, needle-tipped tongue? He was still a vampire, wasn't he? Chapters are around 10 A4 pages long, releasing once a week on Mondays, 01:00 CET.
