I played with the kids for a while, then bid goodbye to them and promised I will come soon again. I walked to the restaurant as it is just across the street.

Soft music playing through my ear phone but my mind wandered to that stranger and his smile. I clearly remember his face, he so tall and muscular. Even in that suit I could see his perfect biceps and broad shoulders. And his blue eyes, those were the beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen in my life. Lemme not start about his voice, it was – wait what the hell I'm thinking but I'm still confused about it. Why would he smiled? I was rude to him and I didn't even let him speak.

I shake my head trying to get rid of this thoughts. I reach the restaurant and the bell jingles as I opened the door. I was greeted with fresh and sweet aroma of coffee.

"Hey, Claudia" I greeted my co-worker who have become a good friend of mine.

"Hey, hottie" she winked at me.

She always call me hottie because according to her I'm hot. But I don't think I'm. I'm average looking girl, who is struggling to make her life better.

I walked towards the kitchen and tied my apron. I work as a waitress here and I don't get paid much but it's all I can get. As I don't have a college degree yet, I can't afford a good job.

The bell jingles again signaling a customer has arrived. I walked towards them to take their order.

"Hello. And what can I get for you both?" I asked politely to two old couples.

"Honey, I will get those chocolate muffins" the old lady look at her husband and plead.

"No, you remember doctor said no to sweet food" the old man explained to his wife.

"But I want it" the old lady whines, folding her arms together across her chest.

I smiled looking at them. They might be old but they still act like a kid.

"Fine, two Chocolate muffins please" the old man said defeated.

The old lady smiled at her husband so lovingly that it would melt anyone's heart.

"Okay sir" with that I made my way to the counter and told them the order.

I severed those old couples their muffins and started taking orders from other customers.

Along with me, Claudia and Liam also started serving their orders.

I was so exhausted, my legs are aching.

It was 6:55 in the evening and my shift is almost over. I placed my last order to the customer and took my apron out when the clock strike 7.

I walked towards the other side of the restaurant, it's a small size room, with a table and bench placed there.

After my work, I always come here to take my online classes or sometimes read books.

I walked towards the small bookshelf and took out a book that I have been reading from last few days. As I didn't bring my laptop today, so I would spend some of my time in reading.

I was so engrossed in the book but a sudden noise of something breaking interrupted me.

"You idiot. Look what have you done" a loud voice boomed from inside the restaurant.

I closed my book and ran towards the other side of the restaurant to look what happened.

I see our Manager rushing towards the table where two men are standing. One of the man has his back turned towards me so I was not able to see his face. Then my eyes shifted to Claudia who was looking at the ground.

There's a broken cups lying and coffee is spilled all over the floor. I see those two men in suit wiping their dresses.

"Where is the Fucking manager?" the man with his back faced towards me shouted. He looked so angry. I guess Claudia might have done it, but it happens. There's nothing to make such a fuss about it

"Sir, I'm the manager" Mr. White shuttered.

"I want this girl to be fired right now" he said in a cold voice, pointing towards Claudia.

I walked towards Claudia as her face go pale.

"Sir but-" Claudia was cut in middle by the man.

"Shut you clumsy little sh-" he stopped in middle when his eyes landed on me.

I was shocked when I saw his face. The same blue eyes. He was the man I saw in the morning. The stranger.

From the look on his face even he was shocked too but soon he composed himself but his eyes continued staring at me.

" Mr. Maxwell" our manager spoke.

That's when he took his eyes off me and look around.

"Hey, are you alright?" The other man in suit asked him

"Yeah" He cleared his throat and looked back at me and then at manager.

"Sir, I'm sorry. Please don't fire me" Claudia sobbed.

"It's okay. I overreacted" he was looking at me when he said those words. He took one last look at me, and with that he took off while his friend followed him.

I stared at this retreating figure in shock about what just happened?
