《The Girl Who Never Smiles | ✔️》Chapter 64

"I am so full!" I groan and swerve out the way of a big crowd.
"No! We have more in store for today."
"Where are we going? We already went to Sprinkles Cupakes all the way in ther Upper East Side, we went to Broadway and saw Hamilton, shall I go on?" I say and massage my leg.
"Fine. That is it for today. We have tons to do tomorrow. I was thinking we go to Brooklyn tomorrow, maybe go to Barclay Center or Metro Tech."
"Why can't we just stay cuddled together in the bed and watch a rom-com or not watch a rom-com." I say and look up at him with a sly smile on my face. He looks down at me with darkened eyes.
"I like the latter." He says with a smirk on his face.
"So do I." I reply, and Issac guides me into the hotel. He opens the door for me and I walk inside. Instantly, the cool air from the AC hits my skin, goosebumps prickling my skin. Issac walks to the receptionist. They exchange some words and the guy gives Issac a white key card with a number on the back.
"Hey, do they have a pool here?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Nothing." I ask and bite down on my grin.
"I don't want to wet my hair!"
"Oh come on!" He exclaims and starts laughing.
"I just flat ironed it today. Wetting it will make it curly again."
"I actually like when your hair is curly " He says and swims over to the edge of the pool and rests his arms on it. Issac had snuck us into the school's pool after hours. It is 9 pm. I should be home. He should be home, but we found ourselves here.
He trails his wet finger against my skin and instantly, the butterflies start fluttering around.
"Get in." He says softly.
"Nuh-uh"
"Tie your hair up. It won't get wet."
"I don't have a hair tie."
"I do. Look in the pocket of my jeans."
"Why do you have a hair tie?" I ask and lean down and run my hands through his hair. I walk over to his jeans and taking out a bright purple hair tie.
"In case my girlfriend needs one." He says with a smirk on his face. I tie my hair up, a hot blush on my cheeks and no way to hide it. I remove the kimono off me, leaving me in my red dress.
"I don't know how to swim. You have to teach me."
"Fine. This time, I will teach you how to swim, but next time we are in a pool together, we are having actual fun and not the fun your pretty, innocent head is thinking." He promises and quickly grabs me by my waist and pulling me into the pool with him.
Flashback over
Issac presses the elevator button and the doors open up. We walk inside and Issac presses the button 25.
"So what's your plan?"
"My plan?" He asks innocently.
"Yes, your plan."
"First you have to get out of that dress." He says in a low voice, moving closer to me. My eyes flicker over to the elevator sign.
Level 16
Issac rests his hand on the wall next to me and his other hand on the small of my back and pulling me in causing my back to arch.
"W-what do you mean?" I stutter as he brings his head closer, our breaths mingling in the air between us.

"You'll see." He says and the elevator dings and the doors open. He walks out the elevator, me trailing behind him. We stop in front of a door that has the number 23 in golden letters written in script on the door. Issac swipes the key card on the device and the door clicks open. I tug at my little red dress I am wearing, courtesy of Zoe.
We walk inside the room, the lights instantly turning on.
"No. Frickin. Way" Are the only words that come out my mouth as I look at the over-the-top hotel room that Issac got us.
I look back at Issac and he has a wide smile on his face.
A King sized bed is placed in the middle of the room, a red duvet draped on it and rose petals shaped in a heart on it. There is a huge Jacuzzi near the window of the room and a balcony on the opposite side of the room. There is no way I could possibly explain how this room looks, but all I could say is that it is purely beautiful.
Like honeymoon type beautiful.
"I had Chad bring over all our stuff from the jet, including your stuff in the bathroom."
"Issac.." I am completely speechless. There is nothing to say. I- this had to have cost a fortune.
Issac comes up behind me and massages my shoulders, putting pressure where needed. He slowly slips off my sweater and it drops on the floor. He rests his chin right on my shoulder.
"I made you a promise a week ago that next time we were in a pool we would have actual fun. A Jacuzzi is the closest I could get and it's in our room, so you could be as." He plants a feather like kiss on my collarbone.
"Loud." He kisses my shoulder.
"As" A kiss is planted on my jaw right near my ear.
"You" He kisses my cheek.
"Want." He spins me around and captures my lips swiftly. I yelp in surprise and hold onto his shirt to stop myself from falling. His hands travel lower and down to below my bottom. He hoists me up in the air. I wrap my legs around his waist to prevent myself from falling.
This is all happening so fast.
He entangles his fingers in my hair and connects his lips with mine again and pressing our bodies close together.
I have yet to tell Issac that I am....unfamiliar with...sexual pleasures yet and I am not ready to get into that yet. He bought this whole place and the place should practically have a sign saying 'Please have sex, we insist!' I mean it's not like a red room or anything, I mean there is an awful amount of red in here, but-
This is all beside the point.
I just won't let it go that far. I will just tell him later.
Imagine what he would think? Me, Bay Stewart, a virgin. He would probably feel a little mad that I didn't tell him, but again, I don't go around saying 'Look at me. Look at me. No one has ever touched me'
Before I even realize it, I am being gently dropped on the bed. The silk red sheets practically glide against my skin and a few petals fall on my arm and for a minute, I just want to cuddle into these sheets and re watch American Vandal, but all of that knocks out the door when I look up at Issac who is hovering over me, with a darkened look in his eyes. His soft fingers glide against the exposed skin on my waist. His fingertips leave a path a fire on my skin, making me feel hot all over my body. His storm grey eyes meet my caramel eyes and a look in his eyes has the breath in my lungs momentarily leave me.

Love.
His head dips down and captures my lips. I snake my hands up around his neck bringing him as close as I possibly can. He rests his weight on his arms that are on either side of me. He transfers his attention to my neck, attacking it with kisses and small bites. I bite down on my bottom lip to hold back the squeaks, the yelps, the moans, and anything else that so badly wants to escape from my mouth.
Oh god Oh god.
I have to tell him.
"Issac, I'm a virgin!" I blurt out. He stops immediately and for a minute, he is just still. His head is still buried in my neck, his nose brushing against my neck. He leans up and looks into my eyes.
Oh god, he is going to break up with me! What guy would want a virgin for a girlfriend? It's a major disadvantage. I can't do what experienced girls can. I don't know the tricks and crap. I am as useful as a sitting duck in a pond.
"You are?" He finally asks.
I nod my head, feeling the tears well up behind my eyes.
Don't cry!, I scream at myself.
He opens his mouth to say something, but I say, "I'm sorry. I should've told you. I was just scared. I am not like the experienced girls that you probably want. I don't know how to do..well anything. I- i'm sorry" A tear slides down my cheek and I sit up and wipe it away and look away from him, embarrassment burning me.
I can't give him what they can.
I will never be good enough or enough period.
"Hey" Issac soft voice says. He crawls over to me and pulls me to him. I am positioned between his legs and he rests back on the pillows on the bed.
Tears stream down my face and he wipes them away gently like feathers.
"It's okay." He murmurs in my ear and caresses my thigh with his thumb.
"No it's not. I am not good enough." I mumble. Issac turns me around so I am facing him, but also straddling him.
"You are good enough,. You are enough for me always. It doesn't matter if you are a virgin, I didn't fall in love with you based on whether you popped your cherry or not. I fell in love with you because you are smart, kind, beautiful, thoughtful, feisty, determined, and a hell of a lot more things, but it has nothing to do with how experienced you are. We will wait until you are ready whenever that is, 5 months, a year or two, I don't care. I will wait. I will always be here. Always" He says and kisses my cheek. "And forever."
And out of the many tears I have shed in the past minute, one finally comes down that is different than the rest. It is a tear of happiness.
How could I have been so lucky? How could the broken girl have scored the golden boy? If I had known 7 months ago that the golden boy would be the glue to my broken life, I would have laughed and punched you in your face.
"You plan on being with me for that long?" I ask, looking up at him.
"Always and forever." He promises. He moves me up and gets off the bed. He opens the nightstand beside the bed and takes out a red velvet box. He gets down on one knee with the box in his right hand. I scramble to the edge of the bed frantically, my heart beating incredibly fast and heat surging through out my body.
No freaking way Issac Evans is proposing to me!
"Issac, don't tell me this is you proposing to me." I quickly say and get off the bed and stand in front of him.
"This will not be the first time I get down on one knee in front of you. This is not me proposing to you, but instead me making a promise to you. A friend recently told me that you like someone because, but you love someone despite. So, I love you despite the fact that you hate hugs sometimes like who hates hugs? I love you despite the fact that you tell me that if Corbyn Besson asked you out, you would leave me for him, I love you despite your long makeup routines. I love you despite the fact that you made me wear makeup for an hour in my own house." He says with a smile and I can't help but giggle. "I love you despite the fact that you love pizza more than me. I love you...despite all your imperfections and flaws. I love you despite... in spite of... regardless of.. I love you still. I love you always and I promise you my love, my appreciation, my honesty, my respect, my everything. I am promising you all of me. I am promising to not just be your boyfriend, but your partner whether that is in crime out in the real world or to fight your own personal demons. My shoulder is yours and yours only to cry on. My hands are yours to hold. My hair is yours to touch and tug on." He winks, causing me to blush a bright red. " My lips are yours and yours only to kiss. My heart is yours to hold, to keep, to have forever. We fell in love despite our differences and something beautiful and rare was created. Bay Stewart, I promise to cherish you and be yours and only yours for as long as my heart beats in my chest." He flips open the box revealing a stunning silver crossover, infinity promise ring with a small ice blue diamond in the middle.
My heart is practically beating out of my chest and I wonder if he can hear it. I rest my hand on my chest hoping to try to calm my breathing. His beautiful speech keeps replaying over and over in my head. A smile breaks its way to my face and I nod my head. Issac's grey eyes light up and it looks almost blue. He stands up and and starts to slide the ring on my finger. Every centimeter the rings slides on my finger, my smile grows bigger and bigger. I look up at Issac who is staring at me.
"My gift is not even as good as yours."
"Show it to me." He says with a smile. I walk away and go to my sweater that's on the floor. I bend down and take my gift out the pocket. I walk back to him and hand it to him. I got him a simple wallet insert card.
Dude practically 'proposed' to me.
Issac-1, Bay-0
Issac reads over the note and his smile stretches and reaches his eyes and his ears perk up.
"This is beautiful Bay."
Everyday I thank the Heavens for making me clumsy because if I wasn't, I wouldn't have had crashed into the love of my life. Thank you for being the golden sun that lit up my dark world. Thank you for being my best friend and my partner. You are my home and I will always cherish you. You are my grey knight in golden armor. I love you Issac Austin Evans.
~Bay Stewart.
"Not as beautiful as you." I quote Issac with a smirk on my face.
Issac looks up at me through his lashes with a charming smile on his face that makes my knees wobble like standing sticks.
"You are the best thing that has ever happened to me." Issac whispers under his breath, almost as if he was talking to himself.
"Likewise." I reply and walk over to him and lean against his chest. He holds me by my waist and embraces me.
"Happy Valentine's Day Issac"

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
