"Someone's going to have to head over to a store while we're still docked so that we don't run out of alcohol." Tom sighs as he lays down beside Max on the day beds at the back of the boat.
Queenie is lying sandwiched between Cara and Lola on the beds opposite the boys. The group is having a lazy morning today, not having much planned until the night and after the girls had squeezed all of their belongings onto the boat yesterday, Queenie is starting to feel a little guilty about taking up more space, food and drink than Lando and his friends were expecting.
"I'll go." The twenty-one-year-old volunteers, sitting up on her elbows so that she can see Tom. The older boy lifts his head from the bed to send her a thankful smile in reply.
"I'll join you," Max says as he stands up, stretching a little before reaching his hands out for Queenie to grab so that he can pull her up. "Knowing you, you'd end up getting lost or kidnapped and we'd have to deal with Lando giving Liam Neeson a run for his money."
Queenie gives the boy a quick shove, her face feeling hot from the hidden meaning behind Max's words. "Shut up."
"I will find you," Max continues to tease, this time impersonating the infamous scene from Taken. "And I will kill you."
"You're funny." She retorts monotonously, turning to wave goodbye to the girls and Tom as the pair make their way through the boat. Max only chuckles in response.
Queenie follows closely behind Max before reaching for his arm to stop him by the bedrooms. "Let me just put something on really quick and then we can go."
Max's eyes drop to the white bikini Queenie is wearing before rolling his eyes when he sees the smug look on Queenie's face when he realises he involuntarily just checked her out.
"No, please," Queenie smirks. "Don't let me stop you."
Max blushes. "Just put some clothes on and meet me outside."
Queenie laughs at Max's awkwardly retreating figure. "I'll be two minutes!" She calls after him, not waiting for a response as she dives into her bedroom and pulls on some cotton shorts on and grabs her bag. She slides her feet into some sandals on her way out, jogging slightly to not keep Max waiting for too long on the dock.

"Hey!"
Queenie halts in her step, turning around to see Lando hanging over the railing on the top floor of the yacht. His eyes are covered by his sunglasses but she can just slightly make out the furrow in his brows above their frames.
"Where are you going?" He asks.
Queenie points a thumb over her shoulder in the direction of where Max is standing. "Tom said we need more alcohol so we're gonna run to the store," She explains. "Do you want anything else picking up?"
"Nah," Lando shakes his head. "But don't take too long."
"We'll be back in a flash." Queenie grins, turning back around and continuing her jog to where Max is waiting for her.
Once she finally reaches the brunette, she puts her hands on either side of his shoulders and pushes him along the marina from behind him. "Let's go spend copious amounts of money on alcohol."
"Copious..." Max repeats. "That's a big word for you."
"Who has the university degree?" Queenie's cocky retort earns a scoff from the racing driver.
Max moves so that Queenie's hands fall from his shoulders before he waits a beat in his step so that the younger girl can walk beside him. "Which store do you wanna go into?" He asks, eyeing the little markets along the marina for one that seems to stock a lot of liquor.
Queenie shrugs. "Somewhere cheap."
"Oh, Queenie, Queenie, Queenie," Max smirks, slinging an arm over the girl's shoulder. His other hand reaches into the pockets of his shorts and pulls out a card which he flashes in Queenie's face annoyingly. "I took Lando's card."
"First of all, that's theft," Queenie quips. "Second of all, I'm a lawyer."
"Not a criminal one, though."
"Touché."
After walking a further fifteen minutes, the pair finally decide on a small liquor store hidden away in a small alley. Their eyes instantly start scanning the shelves for alcohol that they know everyone will drink rather than buying drinks that may end up being wasted.
"We should get this one." Queenie jokes, picking up the largest bottle of vodka she has ever seen in her entire life.

Max instantly wheezes with laughter. "The whole bottle is longer than your entire torso."
Queenie giggles along with Max, hugging the bottle to her chest. Max grabs his phone from his pocket and faces the camera at Queenie, who smiles awkwardly for the photo he's trying to take amongst his laughter.
"I don't think they have a basket big enough for that, never mind the rest of the stuff we need." Max comments, putting his phone away and grabbing some other bottles from the shelves.
"We should have recruited more manpower for it all." Queenie groans, juggling two of the comically large bottles of vodka in her arms.
Max gasps mockingly. "Are you trying to say we're not strong enough to carry all of this back with us?"
"That's exactly what I'm trying to say."
"We'll get a taxi back." Max says after a moment of thinking about how long the walk home will feel carrying their combined bodyweight in bottles.
Queenie grins, leading the way to the cashiers to pay for the alcohol. "You're smart."
Max chuckles. "I try."
The cashier rings their items up quickly, offering sturdier plastic bags so that they can hold more bottles with less of a guarantee of the bags snapping and the bottles breaking as soon as they leave the store.
"So..." Max trails off as they wait outside for a taxi.
Queenie sends him a questioning look. "So?"
"What's going on with you and Lando?"
Queenie immediately blushes. "Nothing."
"Nothing?"
"That's what I said."
Max hums, giving Queenie a look that lets her know he's not convinced. "So, you don't like him at all?"
"Of course I like him," Queenie says. "We're friends."
"Right..."
"Stop looking at me like that!"
"I'm not looking at you like anything, Queens." Max says innocently.
"You're giving me that look as if you know I'm lying."
"That's because I do know you're lying."
"You're annoying." Queenie pouts.
"I've been told," Max nods. "He likes you, you know?"
Queenie rolls his eyes. "We're not talking about this."
"Why not?"
"Because it's awkward."
"What's awkward about it?"
"I don't know," Queenie shrugs. "Talking about your crush with your crush's best friend just isn't on my bucket list."
"Aha!" Max exclaims, making Queenie flinch in shock. "You just admitted to having a crush on him."
"I also have a crush on Mason Mount but you don't see me talking to Declan Rice about it." Queenie counters.
Max flags down a taxi and begins to pile the bags of drinks into the boot of the car while Queenie climbs into the back. Moments later, Max is rounding the car and climbing into the back on the other side and instructing the driver to drop them off near where their boat is docked at the marina.
It takes no longer than two minutes for the taxi to drop them off at their destination and Queenie doesn't doubt that the man overcharges them for wasting his time.
"I think you guys would be good together." Max says, bringing the subject back around to playing matchmaker between his best friend and Queenie as they walk back onto the boat where their friends are waiting for them.
"So would my foot up your arse." Queenie smiles sarcastically.
Max chortles, catching the attention of Lando who is laying on the day beds that Max and Queenie were laying on before their shopping trip. He's too far away to hear what Max and Queenie are talking about, but close enough to know that hearing Max laugh so loudly at what Queenie is saying is turning his stomach over.
"Fine, I'll stop." Max tells Queenie, holding his hands up in surrender after he puts the bags of bottles down on a table.
Queenie is quiet as she watches Max unpack the bags.
"Hey, Max?"
"Yeah?"
"Does he really like me?" Her voice is shy as she asks this and the sight of Queenie avoiding eye contact makes Max smile softly.
"Yeah," He answers. "A lot."
Queenie nods. "Good."
