There's a bomb in that car but he disabled it.He sat watching them drive away feeling dread in his chest.He may have disabled the bomb but the car was tracked.

He shot the person he is supposed to be helping,betrayed the man who trusted him the most...

The cars rushed pass him determined to catch the runaway mafia and his wife.

Then a drop of rain landed on his shoulder followed by another

"Oh my God Niccolo"She said looking at my back.Panic concurred her face as she starts to remove her shirt to cover the blood from flowing out.

"Andrea"I said stopping her and lowering her shirt with one hand

"I'll be fine"I assured

"We need to stop the blood"She said

I removed my coat while I kept control on the road

"Will you be okay?"She asked in a teary eyes

I laughed

"This is nothing amore,Its just a small wound,its only a bite of an ant"I smiled"I'll be fine"I assured her holding her chin then focusing on the road

She nodded but she was still very worried

"But why would Adriano shoot you?"She asked

"To save himself,to make it look like he tried to capture us but we got away"I explained

"Will he be okay?"She asked,my head turned towards her

"You are worried about him?"I asked curious

"Well yeah,we're friends he doesnt know it yet but we're friends "She said in a smile angering me

"How?"I asked

"Well when you were gone I hated your brother so I asked him to play chess with me everyday and---"

"And what huh?"I asked in anger

"Niccolo it wasn't like that,why are you jealous?"She asked

I was silent,that explains the way Adriano looks at her,the way he tried to save her

I shook my head

"Im sorry"I said

She screamed as a woman stood in the rain before us,I slammed the brakes seeing she doesn't have any plan to move away

I quickly got out and saw it was Adis

"Move Adis"I ordered

"No you cant he will find you no matter what"She said

"Move Adis"I said in a warning tone

"You need to come with me"She said

"Why should I trust you?Let me guess another play of his?"I asked

"No Niccolo,I'm sorry I have to gain his trust so I did that.It's not only you who's in danger here,everyone who's close to you has a gun pointed at their head anyone who is figured out helping you will lose their lives"

"If that's the case,Why are you throwing your life just like that?why are you helping me?"I asked

"Selo ordered it"My foot froze in place

"Selo?"

"The car is tracked,Adriano disabled the bomb but he cant disable the tracking device.I'll keep Andrea with me and take her to a hidden place while you crash that car"she said walking up to the car but I caught her arm

"I will keep her safe Niccolo"She said then removed my hand from her arm and took Andrea out

Andrea's golden eyes looked at me asking my permission to trust Adis.

I looked at Adis

"Trust me Niccolo"She said firmly

I looked at Andrea and nodded

"I will be back,do everything she says okay?"I said cupping her face

"You're not coming?"She asked in surprise and intense fear

"No but I will come back"I said,her hands gripped on my hand

"No...No I'll come with you"

"We have no time"Adis said pulling Andrea to her arms

"No please Adis let me go with him"she pleaded making it difficult to part

I gave Adis a last look then hopped into the car making it roar in speed

"No please Adis let me go with him" I begged as I watch him get into the car and left in such speed

"You need to calm down and trust me Andrea if you want both of you to live"She said,her sweet face faded into a cold firm expression

She took me into her car and drove it into a thundering speed

I cried rubbing my hand thinking if he will come back

"He won't die Andrea,he is one of the three best mafia I have met,he will be fine"she said making hope live inside me

"w-where are you taking me?"I asked

"To a small place prepared by Selo just so we can plan our next move"she said

"How will he know we are in there?"I asked

"Not to worry Selo must've texted him right about now"

Then we reached a small apartment in a city she took me into.The apartment was small and crusty,the paint was peeling off and the kitchen was a part of the bedroom.

"Here"she said handing me dry clothes

"I'll be outside"she said then closed the door.

My thoughts asked the same question as my chest

The car traveled in a thundering speed

I opened the door as I spotted a blind curve with railings.he fall leads to a cliff.

I accelerated to the limit of the car,as I got close I dived out and rolled on the road.I watched the car fly

I took out my phone and a text

Another car is close by

I ran and found the car,I hopped in and rushed to the place Selo texted

"Where is she?"I asked Adis rushing into the building

"Wait"she stopped me

"What?"I asked

"Let me talk to you"she said.We sat down into one apartment

"You know exactly he will find you,he is just playing you in the palm of his hand,you do know if he is really serious you are killed or found much quicker.He's having fun might as well we take advantage of it"she said

"You dont realize the danger you entered"she continued

she is right...

"At the end of the night one of you will die and you know exactly that its not you...so to make thing less bloody,I'll take Andrea to the airport tonight while you go there to talk to them.You love her but she will die if she stays longer with you so she needs to leave forever and and you will beg Cesare to let her be."she said

I was silent.I know the danger I took on her.I shoudn't have confessed to her

In the end the only thing I wanted was the thing I can not have...

"Let her go Niccolo to keep her alive"she said in a low voice

I nodded and stood up
