Still the question and a tint of guilt and regret pounded inside me

"Why did you that?"I asked Selo sitting beside me.blood spread on his shoulder

"To save people..."he replied"If you did that to Cesare again to prove yourself...he will not be kind... everyone around you will die.Me ,your mother,your sisters,Andrea and everyone connected to those people and people who are further connected to them...You got carried away "

He's right...

I remembered Cesare's eyes...underestimating me...doubting me ...I hate it

we arrived at the house and I stepped out ready to face my punishment or even my death

"Domenic what are you doing here?"I asked feeling disappointed

"I see my brother is not around"he smiled sending an uneasy feeling down my spine

"So this is what you are doing now huh"He said looking at my restaurant

I nodded

"If you dont have any important business then please leave"I said widening his smile

"You are sending me away...something you can never do before"He laughed

"Please leave"I asked firmly not wanting to hear his words further

"What guilty?"He teased

"Please go"I repeated once more cleching my fists

"No"He replied raising my eyebrows.

I sighed.I know this man and I know he is a stuborn one,I followed him for years

"Then I shall Leave "I said but he caught my hand which I quickly pulled back as if his touch has burned me

He showed amusement by my reaction

"I see,you like that person now"he stated

"What is your real purpose here Domenic?"I asked sraighthening the point

"I'm just gonna visit my brother but he is not here so what else could I do until he comes back?bother my sister in law"He laughed

I woke up streching my arms and opening my mouth as wide as I can for a yawn.I looked at the calendar and its been a week since Romano left for a business trip.

I walked down the silent stairs as saw Rhius and mama Saphia.

"Good morning"I smiled

"Good morning dear"Mama Saphia greeted back putting waffles onto a plate.Rhius approached and took the plate from her straightening Mama's face in surprise.

"Good morning Master"The girl smiles brightly and widely

I let out a low laugh and accepted the plate

"Right coffee"Mama Saphia remembered

"I got it"Rhius said cheerfully

Mama Saphia looked at her with squinted eyes as if there is something fishy about the girl

I merely laughed watching them

"Mama..."

"Hmm?"

"About Niccolo...why isnt he back yet?"

She paused for a while

"Dont worry hija he is usually like that,it takes weeks before he comes home again...you must really miss him"

I choked

Missed him?Hell nah!I am merely wondering if the man left me with this happiness of not seeing his face!permanently

I went back to my restaurant and saw a face I do not wanna see ever

I ignored the man again with the spitting image of Romano

"I have a question"he said halting my feet I turned to look at him

"I dont have the answer Domenic"I replied and continued to walk inside my restaurant and grab my laptop I forgot yesterday

I stepped outside and anticipated that he left as I stayed inside for a while just to make sure he leaves but I was greatly disappointed to see him leaning on his car.

I gulped and walked pass him holding my breath but I felt his hand catch my wrist.I tried to pull it back but he was stronger.He pulled me close and whispered something in my ear making me calm down instantly in shock

I looked at him and felt another hand grab mine from him

"Leave her alone"He ordered firmly.Due to curiousity I broke my eyes from Domenic and look at Adriano wearing his same face.

He has daring dark eyes, caramel skin and brushed back black hair.

Domenic rose his hand in surrender

"Im sorry"He laughed playfully

"I'll drive you home you cannot stay here now"He said in an english accent

I nodded in response to Adriano while looking at Domenic

"Remember!"He shouted watching me walk

"I know all about the fake marriage secret...There is still hope to fix this...You wanna know who that man really is?let me tell you he is not in a business trip...meet me here at 8...if you don't come I'll tell everyone about the fake marriage..."

"Whatever it is dont do it...even if it is a fake marriage you its still your job to watch your reputation"He informed looking straight at the road while he stirred the wheel

Either way my reputation will be ruined...but what does he mean about Romano?How did he know about the agreement?

I stared at the clock once again

an hour left...should I go?or no?why should I trust him?So what if he tells everyone?we are married now so only us can prove what we want to prove...right?

I walked back and fourth inside the room bitting my nail

I was stopped from walking around when I heard a knock on my door

"Excuse me dear,a woman downstairs wanted to see you"She informed"As she said your best friend"

my eyes widened in surprise as hapiness exploded inside of me

I ran down the stairs amazed how I did not trip

there I froze seeing Dafil sitting on the couch.

Her black hair tied to a low ponytail.Her caramel skin shone with her black eyes.Her button nose covered with freckles which are mostly not noticed due to her darker skin tone.

She stood up and circled me in her warm arms

Tears escaped from my eyes.

I missed her.I felt so alone.

" I missed you"I whispered

"Me too"

"Where's Louie?"I asked

"Well he was really busy but he promised to come"She informed

I felt halfly sad, him not being here but I am thankful Dafil came

After three days of being in the torture room Niccolo lay on the bed before me,his body bruised and bandaged.His face almost making him unrecognizable.

"No broken bones...but his muscles..."the doctor paused

"Will he live?"I asked looking at the the man

He hesitated

I nodded getting the answer

"You may leave"I ordered

The door sounded as the man exited but sounded again to open

I glanced behind me and was surprised to see Cesare.He was silent but kept his eyes on him

"I always admired this boy...his bravery...loyalty...and cleverness."He said keeping his hands behind him"but I wondered if his loyalty lies with you..."he stared at me with his deadly accusing eyes

"You know why he pointed the gun at you?"I looked at the man"He was scared...and disappointed he failed you so he pointed the gun at you showing he is the most daring before eveyone.He wasn't aiming at you he was aming behind you...you know to well he would catch a bullet for you..."I said firmly"Besides he did it 3 times already"

he chuckled

"You know the boy too well..."

"And you dont?You know why he did it...thats why you even asked him to shoot because you know he wouldnt hit you...and yet why should you go this far with the torture?if he doesnt wake up for two more days he will die...let me tell you this Cesare,you are about to lose one of the most loyal man you have"I said firmly slapping the words on his face

He just stared at Davide

"He was weak...he needs a wake up call"He said then exited the room.As he was about the room he spoke"And so are you...you get too attached to the boy"

Then why the hell did you come here in his room?
