《And They Were Roomates. (KiriTodoBaku)》Bang

"We're going on a date."
Todoroki checked his caller ID.
"Excuse me?"
"You fucking deaf, Halfy? I said we're going on a date," Bakugou snapped through the phone, voice distorted with city sounds.
"I'll text you details - wear whatever you want."
Todoroki couldn't even respond before the other hung up.
A date?
"You okay, Shouto?"
He found himself flinching at the sudden voice.
His eyes quickly caught with wide green ones.
It wasn't like it was awkward between him and Izuku. Yet...
"Yes." He snapped his eyes to the folders in Izuku's hands.
"Are those case files?" Standing from his desk, he reached out to take them.
"Yeah, it's the interrogation transcripts. You probably won't find much - but it's something." Izuku smiled, looking closely at his face.
Todoroki focused on not brushing their fingers, rather than Izuku's gaze.
"Thank you." He replied, slumping back down in his chair.
What should he wear?
"Something on your mind?" The other placed a hand on his desk, anchored.
"It's nothing." Shouto dismissed, trying to busy himself with the new files.
It was quiet for a little too long.
Reluctantly, he flicked his eyes back to Izuku - who was still staring - a slight frown on his face.
"I'm sorry, Shouto."
He sighed.
"It wasn't your fault. And you've already apologised a hundred times."
Why he can't release the tension in his shoulders?
"It's just..."
"I'll get over it."
Because that's how it is. He just has to wait for these weird feelings to go away.
...
Honestly, he was expecting a fancy restaurant, a bowling alley or some other clique dating spot - certainly not this.
He eyed the ginormous skyscraper infront of him.
A business building? What kind of date could they possibly have here?
"Oi."
Todoroki had already heard the tell-tale stomps of Bakugou's hero boots.
"The date is here?"
He turned to find the other had his hands shoved into his hoodie pockets. He must not have had much time after his patrol as it was obvious he was wearing his hero suit underneath. The blonde still looked unfairly attractive.
Silently, he thanked himself for not turning up in a suit.
"What are we doing here?" Todoroki pushed, glancing again at the tall building in front of them. The other just huffed at his look.
"Get on, idiot." Bakugou smirked playfully, turning so his back was towards Todoroki.
"I would carry you in my arms like the spoilt princess you are - but I need my hands." The blonde continued, taunting.
"I'm not a spoilt princess." Todoroki huffed, cautiously walking closer to curl his arms over Bakugou's shoulders and easily lifted to wrap his legs around the others waist.

The position felt a little weird - he couldn't remember a time he'd been on Bakugou's back like this before.
"Sure thing, princess."
"I said I'm not-" Todoroki was quickly cut off when they suddenly went airborne. Bakugou used his quirk to propel them upwards. Instinctively, Todoroki tightened his grip - letting out a gasp of surprise whilst thinking of a thousand insults to spit at Bakugou once he'd put him down.
"People are going to notice!" Todoroki decided to shout instead, brushing his lips against Bakugou's ear so that his voice wouldn't be lost in the explosions.
Just as he did so, an uncontrolled blast shot them slightly off balance.
"Don't- Don't give a fuck." Bakugou stuttered, his ears colouring a little. Probably due to the drop in temperature - Todoroki reasoned - using his quirk to heat them both up a little. The wind rushed past his ears and ruffled through his hair - he regretted spending a painful amount of time trying to style it.
It should've been impossible for him to hear the other over the explosions, but they were so close it was like they were part of each other-so, maybe he was just reading the others thoughts. There's muffled murmurs of degrees and functions of speed and Todoroki knows Bakugou's running manoeuvres through his mind faster than the speed of sound - keeping them balanced whilst rising.
Bakugou doesn't need to think aloud.
Perhaps, the words are for him. Bakugou's way of assuring him, he knows what he's doing. There's no need, of course. He trusts the other completely.
When they finally come to rest at the top of the building, Todoroki debates holding him longer. They hadn't had much physical contact recently - he missed it.
Bakugou must have noticed his hesitancy.
"You good? Don't tell me you got vertigo, dumbass."
Actually Todoroki loved it, the thrill. The way his heart skipped. The way his stomach dipped and flipped with every blast from the other's palm. But when he slid off onto firm ground and glanced at Bakugou - he found none of the excitement had left. His heart was beating just as hard as ever.
"Enjoy the ride?"
Todoroki perked at the cheerful voice.
Kirishima.
The last rays of daylight glittered in his eyes, amplified and scattered. His bright grin was almost blinding in the evening haze.
"It was-"
His voice got caught in his throat as he observed the items scattered around the rooftop.
Cheap convenience store pillows, a mismatching picnic blanket, piled fast food boxes and a roughly handled bouquet shoved into one of Bakugou's gauntlets. Littered candles pulled the whole scene together - small flames flickering pleasantly.
He noticed there was a patch of scorched blanket - shoddily hidden underneath Kirishima's placed foot.

"Perfect."
...
Todoroki decided there's just something about sunsets. Something about how the blue sky gets lighter and lighter until it's almost white, until the sun brushes the horizon and it bursts into vivid color. It's in the way the sky to the east fades to a deep, midnight blue, even though midnight is hours away. There's something about those days where the moon is just arriving as the sun disappears, as if they're desperate to share the sky for just a few more minutes.
There's something about sunsets. But Todoroki thinks he likes it most just before the sun falls below the skyline - where hints of red and orange swirl amongst the remaining clouds.
...
Todoroki had no idea how long they spent talking. Now, only the neon city lights from neighbouring buildings seeped up onto the rooftop.
No, they didn't kiss, hold hands or whisper sweet nothings to eachother - they threw cold fries at whoever made a lame joke, accidentally set a bag on fire from the messily placed candles and almost died of laughter when Bakugou tried to blast a bird for snatching his burger bun.
"You should call us by our first names." Kirishima's thigh nudged into his own, fingers barely sliding over Todoroki's knuckles before drawing them back to twirl at his hoodie strings. Shouto's muscles twitched at the contact.
"All the time?" Todoroki responded, subtly leaning a little more into the red head's shoulder. He glanced through his peripheral vision, noting how the other's cheeks glowed a flustered red.
"Obviously." Bakugou- Katsuki spoke up from Kiri- Eijiro's lap, a wearing a matching blush.
"Maybe not when we're around fans though." Eijiro added, running his hand through blonde hair.
"You can call me Shouto."
"Shouto."
Todoroki felt his heart stutter in his chest.
Yes, they'd called him his first name in sex before - yet this felt completely different.
"You like that, Shouto?" Kirishima chuckled, moving so he could wrap an arm around his waist. Immediately, he turned his head so the other two couldn't see his flustered face.
"Ah - no you don't."
Eijiro's other hand cupped his jaw, pulling his stained cheeks back into full view. He glared at Katsuki after he let out a loud snort of laughter.
Huffing, he pouted at the teasing grins of the other two - failing at stopping the upward twitch at the corners of his lips.
The moment quickly faded as he noticed the other's hand hadn't moved from his face, thumb stroking his jaw.
His eyes widened as he locked gazes with Eijiro, who couldn't help but glance down at his lips. Below them, Katsuki was completely silent, watching the situation cautiously.
This felt so different to all the other times they were about to kiss. His stomach was swirling and fluttering so much - he swore he was about to throw up. His heart crashed against his chest like it was fighting to get out. The faint shadows of birds and flashing lights of passing aeroplanes all seemed to pause.
"Shouto..."
His name was whispered against his lips.
"Can I kiss you?"
Is this what loving someone feels like?
Like he can barely breathe?
Like his veins are buzzing with electricity?
Like the stars have aligned for this very moment?
"Yes."
Maybe he was hallucinating - but he swore there were fireworks burning across the sky the second their lips touched.
...
But the stars couldn't align forever.
There would be no fireworks left to light.
Eventually the Earth would have to move again.
But the high he felt seemed like it would never leave.
Just as their lips parted, there was a loud bang at the roof top door.
The other two immediately stiffened.
There was a reason they didn't just walk through the building to get to the roof wasn't there...
"We're not allowed up here are we?" Todoroki questioned. Eijiro quickly averted his eyes whilst Katsuki grew a playful smirk.
"Goodie two shoes afraid of getting in trouble?" The blonde teased.
That smirk quickly faltered at a louder noise at the door - a familiar sound of metallic jangling echoing.
"Let's finish this date off with a bang." Katsuki grinned, jumping up from Eijiro's lap.
"Katsuki you better not- Ah!" Bakugou yanked the red head from his position, hoisting him up and over his shoulder.
"What the fuck!" Eijiro yelped, hitting the blonde's back. The struggle was ignored as Katsuki held out a hand infront of Shouto's face.
"Come on, Shouto." Katsuki dared, spreading out his fingers a little more as invitation.
Reluctantly, Shouto took the hand - pulled up into standing.
What was Katsuki thinking?
Then he noticed the evil glint as the other's eyes flicked towards the edge of the rooftop.
No no no-
"Wait - Katsuki!"
The devil threw Shouto over his other shoulder, gripping his thigh so that he'd stay there.
"First time?" Eijiro openly laughed next to him, eyes tearful with laughter.
"And hopefully the last ti-"
Katsuki smacked both of their asses with each palm - cackling loudly with laughter.
"Hold on tight, idiots."
Shouto was pretty sure the whole of Tokyo could hear their screams as Katsuki blasted them off the rooftop.
