I hugged Kenzie closer to me as she whimpered in her sleep. I can't bring it in myself t leave her alone. It's been three hours since we got back and after a quick check up from Daniel, we are finally in the room,lying on the bed. I know I need to sort out different things,but I don't want to leave her even for a second.

I started at her sleeping face and hugged her closer to me. Just staring at her bruises is making me regret why I killed that bastard quick. I planned on capturing him,then torturing him for a long while,but Koda saw him and went all mad and just tore him to pieces. His blood was all over the place when I was done. I even broke few bones in his mate and daughter's body. Okay,maybe more than a few,but it was definitely worth it.

I continued to stare at my mate,I just don't want to take my eyes off her. I could've lost her you know. She whimpered again and I swear I could feel my heart breaking all over again. If I could take all her pains, I'll do it in a heartbeat.

She stirred a bit and I knew she was about to wake up. She opened her eyes and blinked before they finally settled on me.

She looked at me and smiled and my stomach fluttered a bit. She raised her hands and touched my face,like she's still not sure if I'm here.

"You are here. You are really here" She said,her eyes glistening with tears.

I was quick to catch the tears before they dropped.

"I'm here love, I'm really here. In fact,I already ordered a giant bubble from a human store. Wouldn't want you to go anywhere again,would we?" I joked a little,but I was partially serious.

She smiled and it warmed my heart. "No,no we wouldn't"

She laughed and her hair fell on her face. I tried tucking the stray curl behind her hair,but she beat me to it. As she did she winced,just from that little act.

I stood up from the bed and started pacing,I was angry,no I was furious. I continued pacing for a while and then stopped. I turned to Kenzie and saw her confused,but worried look and my anger reduced by a notch.

"I'm mad at you,you know" I began,she opened her mouth as if to speak,but I shushed her. She pouted a little and she looked so fucking cute,but...but I'm not going to allow it distract me. "I'm mad at you because you just followed those fuckers without screaming for help or even better; mind linking me. Is it that you didn't think I'd protect you or what? Because you hurt me real bad,love. You did" I finished.

She stared at me before looking away and biting her bottom lip. Why...why is she doing that? What does she think she's doing? We are in the middle of discussing something very important and she...she is trying to seduce me?

"...Are you even listening to me?" I heard her say as she waved her hands in front of me.

I shook my head to stop my head from wandering and looked away from her beautiful lips,only to see her standing in front of me. I flinched and moved back. When...when did she get here? We was just sitting down a second ago?

I blinked and looked at her, remembering her question. "Of course. I heard you loud and clear" I looked behind her just to avoid looking her in the eyes. She always know if I'm lying,by looking into my eyes. Not that I'm lying,but just because.

I finally looked at her face to see her smirking. This little...little cutie. She is just so fucking cute.

Her face turned serious as she came closer to me,taking my hands in hers and rubbing them with her thumb. "You know,I think you are strongest person I know. Inside and out. I just thought...thought that I'd help you a bit y'know" she gulped and continued."They...they said they'd k-kill the kids if I didn't go with them. I had to Jay. I'm sorry for hurting you okay. Forgive me, please" She said with a cute pout.

I didn't say anything,just hugged her close to me. I bent to her level and buried my face in her chest.(get your mind out of the gutter)

"Thank you for looking out for me and the pack and for thinking that I'm the strongest man...no person in the world"

"I... I didn't actually say you where the strongest person in the world. You know there is Superman and Batman,right?" She replied,being cheeky.

I looked up and glared at her,but she just laughed and pecked me on the lips.

"That was rude" I said with a glare. She looked at me,confused.

"What is?"

"You haven't seen me for more than a month and the kiss you give your mate is a peck? Rude. Fucking rude,lady" i answered.

She laughed and came closer,as her lips touched mine,I lifted her up and kissed the fuck out of her. What! I missed my woman. Deal with it.

I sat down in my office and realized that I haven't been in here since Kenzie left and that's close to a month. Crazy! I know. Like I have been the type to get lost in my work,but having a mate showed me that there are things that are more important than the others.

I finally realized that Kenzie needed rest,so I left her to sleep,but I know that she's not actually resting because I can hear her and Jasmine's laugh from here. I can't bring myself to tell her to get some sleep because she's having fun.

I sat down and thought of what I'd do with the bastard's pack members. As the Alpha that defeated theirs, I'm meant to either leave them to become rogues,take them into my pack to become my pack members or go the extra mile of looking for a pack that'll accept them. And I must say that the first option is what I want to choose because I'm not about to take the second one. Those fuckers bullied my baby girl and I'm not about to let them stay here. No fucking way.

After many minutes of contemplating with Caleb,who is kinda my co-Alpha now. I don't know if that's a thing,and I don't care. The guy really helped me a lot. We decided on keeping the orphaned kids and send the others to different packs. I hope they get accepted. If not...

'What will you do about the old man?' Caleb asked me in the mind link.

I sighed and massaged my forehead. I found the Beta Williams that Kenzie told me about. The man was not looking good at all. The bastard found out that he helped with Kenzie's escape,so he tied him up and left him in the basement,beaten and all. I thought the guy wasn't going to make it,but he's currently in the pack's hospital recovering. He was dehydrated and broke just a few bones.

The only problem was now to break the news to Kenzie. He was the father figure she had in that pack,so he means a lot to her. At least she knows that we've found Summer,the girl that helped her. Kenzie insisted that she followed us here,so she's currently in a room in this pack house. Poor girl that's not up to eighteen,but has gone through so much. The girl that Jordan has been staring at since we she arrived.

"I'll tell her later. Or I'll take her there so that she'll meet him? I don't know man. I know that she'll cry and will want to overwork herself,but I don't know...I don't just know" I muttered, frustrated.

'How about telling her casually. Like over a tub of ice cream or movie?' Caleb reasoned.

That would actually be good. I looked at Caleb as if he was a kid saver.

"Thanks man"

'What would you do without me?' was his reply and I couldn't help but laugh.

So Caleb's plan actually worked. I brought a tub of ice cream and put on a comedy show for Kenzie. The ice cream was almost finished when I blurted it out. 'I uh found the guy. Beta Williams. He's in the pack's hospital'.

Kenzie froze and turned to me with tears rolling down her cheeks. Yeah! The tears came sooner than I expected.

And it's still running. It's even worse now beacsue there's two of them. You got it! Beta Williams is also crying. Manly tears might I add.

Don't get me wrong. I understand what's happening,but I don't know how to start consoling them or something. So imagine me standing awkwardly at the corner of a hospital room and doing...nothing. Yeah, I'm doing nothing.

They talked for long, occasionally pointing at me with me smiling awkwardly at them. They finally waved at me to come over,and I went to stand by Kenzie while looking at the tired man on the bed.

He took my hand in his frail hands. "Thank you son. Thank you for saying Kenny. I couldn't bear seeing her suffer. Thank you"

I was touched by what he said. "No thank you for taking care if her there. I'm not sure what she'd have done without you there. Thank you sir"

After many 'thank you's' and 'I'll make sure to take care if her' and 'I'll come see you later,I promise', I finally ushered Kenzie out if the room,more like dragged out of the the room.

As soon as we got outside the hospital room,Kenzie hugged me so tight,I was wheezing.

I didn't say a word,I just let her hug my awesome body to her fill. She moved back a little,then she leaned in again and gave me a big kiss. Okay! I'm loving this. I won't complain one bit.

"Thank you for doing this" She said after the very much appreciated kiss.

"You are welcome,love.I'll gladly do it again for the kiss...I mean for you" I said with a sheepish smile.

She just smiled and looped her hands in mine as we walked out of the hospital smiling wide.

We spent the next week catching up on the times we lost. Cuddling in bed, making love,just being together and they were the best moments of my life. Just spending time with Kenzie made me the happiest man on Earth.

She resumed her work as the Luna of the pack and the respect the pack had for her increased drastically. They treated her like a good and treated me like,well me. She deserves it though. She deserves every respect they give to her.

Jasmine and Jordan visits her everyday too. The three are inseperateable. So is me and Caleb's friendship.

I'm so happy that she didn't let what happened to her stop her from being herself. It's as if she bounced back to her normal self. My mate is the strongest person I know.

Kenzie is the only thing that brightens up my day,my life infact. She's like my personal sun. And I'm definitely weak for her.

Hey guys! Chapter thirty. I said in the last chapter that this might be the last,but luckily it isn't. I hope you love it.
