I felt the space beside me on the bed dip and it made me open my eyes to see who it was, Aiden was sitting there eating a bagel while listening to music

"You're up early" I told him with my sleepy voice as I released a small yawn right after, he removed his headphones and lay them down around his neck "Morning to you too Pip, ready for our date?"

I did get permission from Olivia and Ted for the date today, luckily they let me because of how we sold out all of the ice creams yesterday

We are going to go on a date after classes, it's already been 2 days since he tried to pursue me

Surprisingly, the last day of our deal is the last day of the festival

I rolled out of the bed and fell my legs hit the floor of the bedroom

I hate getting up, might as well roll

Aiden stood up and walked around the bed to reach me and help me up "What am I gonna do with you? Even as kids you would always do that, is that old habit it coming back again?"

As the person who is friends with me during childhood, we have a lot of slumber parties for him to know how I get off the bed every morning "I don't want to sit up" I told him while stretching my arms out

We heard the door open revealing Wyett holding a plate full of bagels "So funny story I kind of helped this old lady cross the street and she gave me a paper bag full of bagels as a thank you and I can't finish them all"

He handed me one bagel and I took a huge bite out of it, while eating it I felt the morning air come in through the window and I can hear more sounds that the tourist are making as they explore the seaside town

Aiden and Wyett ate breakfast with me and Daisy, Wyett was 2 years older than us so he is 20 years old. He kept taking pictures of the breathtaking sceneries of the seaside, the clicks of the camera was nonstop

He sometimes takes pictures of us for his blogs, I was walking beside Aiden and he pulled out something in his bag

It was two tickets for the fair that arrived at the seaside town

"No way, we're going!?" I asked him excitedly, it's been so long since I've gone to a fair. The last time I went was Natalie's birthday 4 years ago

"I remembered you like games so we can enjoy our time here" he waved the tickets in front of my face before shoving them in his bag

Daisy saw the tickets and made a pouty face "I want to go too" she mumbled and Wyett's ears perked up

Looks like this is going to be a double date

We heard somebody calling out to us from far away, I turned my head to my right to see Mira dashing towards us with a big sandwich that was between her mouth. I tilted my body to see Max running after her

"What the heck are those two doing?" Daisy asked Wyett as our gazes follow the two past us by, they were heading straight to school without stopping

I do remember that Max and Mira's home were the farthest since it was almost close to the lighthouse at the very end of the shoreline

What kind of red bull did they drink to run that fast!?

Suddenly I felt someone watching me, I saw behind me the dog from yesterday

WHAT THE FUCK!?

The dog was getting closer to me again, Aiden saw my face "Pip don't run" he tried to calm me down, he held my hand and gave it a small squeeze

I swear this dog is everywhere! I looked at Aiden then at the dog who was getting closer and my fight or flight response activated quickly "Aiden get ready" I whisper to him before I started running while pulling him with him

The dog started chasing after us while barking loudly, I wanted to tell but I need to save my strength for running. The entrance gates of the high school were near and I felt like I was in a marathon of being bitten

My legs were giving up, Aiden scooped me up and ran faster than I was. I felt the strong wind hit my face and see from the back the dog was getting farther from us

Just in time before the dog reached us the gate closed when we got in

The dog was on the other side growling at us, all curious eyes were glued on me and Aiden because he was still carrying me

"Don't be so lovey-dovey in front of me it makes me feel single than what I already am" Max walked up to us and threw an arm around Aiden

He leaned in close to us and whisper "By the way, why don't you let her down now since you guys are garnering a lot of attention" we all looked at many students who were gazing at us and gossiped

I cleared my throat before I jump down from his arms "Thank you" my hand went to fix my messed up hair

He beamed at me "No problem" he kissed my temple "See you after school" he told me while walking away with Max to a group of boys where Max is introducing him to them

Aiden Elliot is getting used to this without warning me

Mira strolled to me while taking the last bite of her sandwich "Where's Daisy?" She looked behind me and beyond the closed gates

We may have left them behind

She grabbed my wrist and pulled me somewhere where there were no people, the place was well hidden behind the trees and bushes, we saw someone climbing the wall and Daisy's head popped out

Her head was full of leaves, she looks down "Come one push"

"I'm trying, hold on, you're too heavy" Wyett grunted as he tried to push her over the wall, I can hear Daisy smack his head "I'm not heavy, I'm only 125lb" she said before putting one foot on top of the wall

She rolled a bit before falling to the ground with a loud thud, Daisy groaned in pain as she holds her behind "I think I landed on a branch"

We helped her up as she dusted the dirt off of her skirt "Thanks Wyett"

We saw a thumbs up from Wyett on the other side of the wall before we can hear him walk away, Mira sighed "You told me that you wouldn't do that anymore, the last time you did it the fall almost broke your back"

I helped Daisy remove the leaves that got stuck on her hair "Yeah but I don't wanna be put on the late list, I hate the long lectures the school gives" she answered

We all parted ways when we got in the building, I headed straight to the music room because music class was my first subject today. The stares and small whispers from everyone was nerve-wracking

I was pushed into the spotlight just because of yesterday

I can hear music from the inside of the room

They're starting already?

My hand reached the doorknob and I opened the door to take a peek, the music was wonderful to hear but there was no one playing the piano

"Mia?"

I was startled when someone say my other name, it was that lady teacher from the music department "Aren't you going in?"

My eyes landed on the piano at the corner of the room next to the window "I was about to"

She went and open the door widely to let me in first, everybody stopped playing music once we both entered "Since this is your first music class, you told us you can play the piano right?" She asked me and I nodded

"Great!" A girl who was playing the tuba said loudly "We need someone to play the piano but our pianist recently broke his legs and is now in the hospital"

Well isn't that a great timing

The girl let's go of the tuba and gave me a piece of paper that contained the music notes for the entire song "It will be our piece for the last day of the festival, right Ms. Cass?"

The teacher nodded "How about you play one song so we can see if you can catch up to the tempo of the music" she led me to the piano and I feel awkward because I was being given special attention which caused others to sneer at me

A boy who was playing the violin crossed his arms at me, his gaze was filled with annoyance "Do you know any song that you can play?"

Looks like someone is pissed

"I can play mostly classical music"

"Why don't you play us one right now, no wait, scratch that. Why don't you play 2 or more if you can"

The nice girl who was with me glared at the boy "Evan!"

The boy shrugged at her "We can't have someone be given a free pass because getting in the school orchestra was hard enough and so many wanted to get in for its many perks"

Mira once told me the high school orchestra is almost like being a varsity player, you will be given many opportunities and scholarships to prestigious colleges once you get in

I can see the angry faces of many students who worked hard to get in but I was given a chance to audition on the spot

I didn't say a word to Evan and just sat in front of the piano "I guess I'll just play some songs then"

I took a deep sigh before I feel my fingers move on their own like every classical song was my muscle memory

The first song I played was Für Elise, next was Claire de lune then I play Ode to Joy right after

It was a continuous line of playing one song after another without rest, I stopped when I was already on my 8th song. We heard someone clap and all eyes went to Aiden who was at the very back of the class

He must have entered the back door

Everybody was speechless and so does the teacher, I scratched the back of my head "So uh, I kind of needed a rest, I'm not sure how many songs you want me to play" I asked Evan

He rolled his eyes then massage this temple "Whatever, practice starts at 8 AM"

I gave him a wide smile

I felt victorious
