Me, Aiden, and Wyett went to the ice cream shop where Daisy was waiting by the door

"Where were you? You're 5 minutes late!" She turns me around to check if anything happened to me

At the corner of my eye, I saw Wyett was starstruck when he saw Daisy who hasn't noticed yet because she was now scolding me like a mother. Aiden explained the situation to her and she laughed out loud

"I can imagine your face when you run for your life" she grinned up at me while holding her stomach, I rolled my eyes at her and put a hand on my waist "Can't you just pretend that you were worried about me?"

She shakes her head before giving me my apron "More customers are coming in today so we gotta get ready Genius" she teased me before going back into the shop

Aiden and Wyett sat at the corner of the shop watching over me and Daisy while they drank the milkshake that the menu in the shop provides

Isn't Aiden supposed to be in his practice for his concert?

With Aiden in the shop, all of his fans started swarming in trying to take pictures with him or get his autograph. Since a lot of people were in the shop but none of them were buying any ice cream I got a sudden bright idea

I tapped Daisy's shoulder as she watches the fans crowding the shop "How about they buy ice cream and he gives an autograph?"

Her eyes widened in the realization that we could use this opportunity to gain more money

Once an opportunity for arises you must grab it

I ran to my bag and messaged Aiden

I have a request

Aiden felt his phone buzz so he immediately read my message, he raised his head to look at me through the small gaps the fans are making. One nod was enough to make this plan start in motion

Daisy ran around the counter and started preparing Aiden's seat and I got ready at the cashier, Aiden walked up to me to the counter "So what do I do?"

"You will give an autograph to the fans who buy one of our ice creams"

"And what is my reward for doing it?" He whispers to me and I can see his lips form a smirk

I look at him in the eyes and being the bold one here I say "We'll go on a date for the entire day tomorrow after class, I'll take a leave if this becomes a success"

Aiden was satisfied with my reward for him "Deal, I might want an additional kiss on the cheek for that since my wrist will hurt if I give out autographs"

How cheeky

"Fine"

He grinned at me before turning around to head straight to the chair, Daisy stood up on the chair "Attention, whoever wants Aiden's autograph would have to buy one ice cream first!"

"The more ice cream you buy the more pictures and autographs you can get!" I added

Since all of Aiden's die-hard fans wanted his autograph so bad they started forcing their way to the counter

"Please make a straight line please" I said to all of them and they started following with their excited faces

For the next 6 hours, I was in charge of the cashier while Daisy was running around at the back giving out the ice cream orders. Aiden like the professional he is was not even breaking a sweat

He looks delighted to meet his fans and he even got many gifts that were given to him, it was not long after that Ruth came running in once he heard the news that Aiden was giving pictures and autograph for fans to buy ice cream

Ruth was a good manager that he contacted other workers to help the fans make a single file line since some are fighting one another

It was troublesome to break off a fight

Aiden's bodyguards ran in after Ruth called them asking for help since the fans were a bit aggressive

Wyett on the other hand was taking lots of shots of in the shop

If photos of the shop go in the magazine it would make a great exposure

After he took photos he started typing on his laptop

"I didn't know you were a journalist too" I told him as I took the money the customer gave me

"We're a travel magazine, I have to put interesting stories of what I did here. I post some of it in my blogs" his eyes were drilled to the laptop as his fingers were typing quickly

When it was time for the shop to close and also it's because all of the ice cream stocks are all out I told it to Ruth, he announced it to everyone "Announcement, the shop will close and the ice creams are all sold out. Please come back tomorrow or you can wait for the concert"

The crowd groaned and many complained while they walk away

The plan was a success!

I feel rich and I started counting the money in the cashier, we were able to secure a lot of money that the shop could only make in two months without the festival or Aiden here

We thanked Ruth and Aiden's bodyguards for the help, the bodyguards want ice cream too so we gave them a free ice cream ticket for tomorrow

Ruth didn't want any because he boasted he could buy everything on our menu with his wage, he left right after telling Aiden to be careful around fans

We cleaned up the shop and left right after, Daisy walked beside Wyett who was shy when talking to her. I felt a warm hand holding mine which made me stop in my tracks, Aiden glanced at the two who was already far away and didn't recognize we were not with them anymore

"So what about my reward?" He asked me that he bit his bottom lip with a little happiness

I looked around to see if there were any paparazzi that might take a picture of us "How about we go back home first"

He understood what I meant so he walked me home first, I looked down at Aiden's hand that was holding mine "How's your wrist?"

Aiden followed where I was looking then he chuckled "It hurts a little if you keep writing your autograph over and over in the next 6 hours Pip, I feel like I can write my autograph in my sleep now" he joked

We stopped at the front door of Daisy's home "I guess we can go on a date tomorrow" I told him and he nodded

"Can't wait" his voice sounded like he has anticipated this moment

I was about to lean in when we heard the front door open revealing Olivia "Hey Mia, Oh! Aiden we have spaghetti for dinner wanna eat with us?"

"No thank you Mrs. Junifer"

"Just call me Olivia"

She waved at Aiden before closing the door, While Aiden was focused at the door I took the chance and wrapped one arm around his neck to make him lean down and kiss him on the cheek "Thank you for today"

Aiden stood there frozen in place with wide eyes, we stared at each other for a minute. The air between us was not awkward and slowly he gave me a warm smile

Not the wide grin nor the simple smile he gives to everyone every day. It was the smile that made me feel all warm inside and that everything feels complete

But I didn't feel complete

"Good night Aiden" I told him softly near his ear before I walked in the house leaving him outside

I took a peek at the gap in the curtains and I can see him jump from happiness as he walked away to his home, the sight made me giggle at his cute reaction

"Young love" I heard a voice behind me which made me jump a little from surprise

It was Ted who said it and he was drinking iced tea while reading some files "Want some?" He asked me as he shows me another empty glass

"No thank you" I politely declined as I sat on the couch

"I heard from Daisy what happened, Cloud was the final nail in the coffin that led you here"

Ted didn't seem disappointed because he was trying to understand my point of view

He took a sip from the glass then glanced at me "Men can also be misunderstood Penelope, take it from this old man here. Olivia, my wife, she used to misunderstand me too"

What is Ted trying to tell me?

"Um, could you please be more clear Ted"

He chuckled a little then sighs "What I'm saying is, have you let Cloud explain himself?"

"I..."

I have no words, I acted on impulse once I saw the scene in front of me that my judgment was clouded instantly

"I'm not saying you should go back to him but take my advice, let them speak and you decide for your final decision once they explain because a relationship will only work if both people would try to understand and listen to each other" he told me like how an old man would give wise words to a kid

I look down at my lap "Maybe I should've let him explain but the scene in front of me felt like they were about to do it" the image of the scene once again came into my mind that I clenched my hand

"There is a thing called a backstory Penelope, what you see is not everything"

That fact gave me a huge slap in the face, the wise advice he gave me is what made me doubt what happened that night

Something must have happened that made the scene look like they were gonna do it

We heard Olivia call him and before he left to go to the kitchen he said "Why don't you give him a chance? The poor boy is searching the entire country for you"
