"Penelope it's just a uniform" Daisy told me while leaning at the window sill all dressed up in her uniform, her hair was styled into space buns and she wore black leather school shoes to go with her white socks

The school does allow students to wear any kind of shoes as long they follow the uniform they have been given out

Daisy told me some of her favorite memories of the first day in high school was, it was wild since people be coming to school in all sorts of weird shoes, others wore crocs, some wear no shoes at all

Since I brought some shoes that I managed to squeeze in my luggage I wore my black Dr.Martens boots, they were gifted to me by Aunt Holly and it looks cute in any outfit so I just brought it

We checked the time and we are 1 hour early before school started, I grabbed my comb as me and Daisy walk out of my room to head to the table where Ted was making breakfast

Daisy looked around the living room "Dad where's Mom?" She sat right after asking with me following her

Ted was washing the dishes and a loud yawn escaped from his mouth, he was so tired I can see a small tear fall out of his right eye "Your mother was called to organize the festival with other leaders of the community"

The festival is close and I just arrived here two days ago so it would be hectic for her and Ted, me and Daisy ate breakfast right after Ted washed the dishes he slammed his body on the couch as a loud snore came from him

We both looked at his sleeping body as he shuffled to sleep comfortably on the couch, I handed Daisy the plate of leftover tacos we had for dinner last night and finished eating our breakfast quietly

Slowly we tiptoed ourselves out of the house and gently close the door

I turned my head to Daisy who was listening to music on her earphones, I tapped her shoulder so she stopped immediately and removed one earphone "hm?"

"Daisy how many cities, towns, or villages are here in Canada?"

She closed her eyes and made a small humming sound "I think there are 1,137 municipalities, why?"

My eyes widened

With Cloud's stubborn attitude he might hire people that can make a population of the entire city

I don't even wanna know if he has hired some people in other countries to search for me since he might think I left the country

That is why I came here to the seaside with the choice of working in the ice cream shop to pay rent and studying

My feet were frozen at the entrance gate as I stared at the new school

Just the thought of it made my palms sweaty, Daisy puts her arm around me and gave me assuring smile "Don't worry, you're Mia now" she whispered to me while the sides of our cheeks are smooshed together.

With Daisy's small strength that she puts in her arm that was around me, forced me to continue walking again as we entered the gates. The moment we entered the campus it has made other students look at me with curiosity

"It's their first time seeing you, they all know one another in the school so they'll get used to you after a week"

The hallways that led to the classroom were worse since they were closer to me, all of them watched my every move as I went to my new locker. The locker was password locked and I have the right to put my password

She gave me a huge hug, if I could describe Mira it's almost like she was Wendy, a little sister to me

Daisy and Mira pulled me to the classroom

"Welcome to class amethyst" Mira cheered

"Amethyst?"

"I forgot to tell you the seniors class section were all named in precious stones" she added

What a weird school

I opened the door to the classroom and all eyes were on us, specifically me but I try to hide behind Mira and Daisy. All the seats were assigned and since I'm new I would be seated at the very back of the classroom

Mira and Daisy were seated far away from me

Daisy knew she would be far so she pulled out her handkerchief and wiped her imaginary tears while looking at me

"Don't forget me Mia I will always have you in my heart" Daisy dramatically said to me and I rolled my eyes

"I'm only a few rows away from you" I shoved her lightly and we got into a fit of giggles

We heard the bell ring so everybody was getting ready to go to their seats, Mira winked at me while Daisy gave me a thumbs up

The teacher came and saw me immediately "It looks like your class has a new student, why don't you introduce yourself?"

The teacher was a lady in her 40's that has her hair in a low bun and her face still glow from happiness when in the classroom

I stood up straight

"I'm Mia, Mia Kathy Junifer"

"She's my cousin!" Daisy chimed in

The teacher clapped her hand once as a smile formed on her face "Do you have any hobbies? Talents?"

Before I could speak Daisy was already speaking for me "She's multilingual and can play the piano"

The teacher sighs "Thank you, Daisy. That was a nice introduction for your cousin even though you answered for her"

Everyone in the classroom chuckled and laughed a little as Daisy gave them all a sheepish smile

"We also have another new student" The teacher was excited

We heard the second door of the classroom open, I wasn't looking at the person because Mira kept giving me weird hand signals

"Why don't you introduce yourself, Aiden"
