Cloud's POV

I was woken up by Nikki who kept shaking me "Cloud wake up! Penelope is not in her room!" She said in a panicky voice

I shot up from the bed and hurriedly put on my coat before running to her room, her luggage wasn't there anymore only mine was left. Nick was inside the room "Have you seen her leave?" I asked him and he shook his head

"I was supposed to ask if she wanted to eat breakfast with us but when I knocked on the door it was open and she wasn't here!" Nick was worried to the point he is stressing a lot

Could this be from last night?

I ran around the hotel to search for her and asked some workers, all of them told me the same thing

She left...

She left without a word, not only that but I found out that Aiden might have accompanied her on the way back

Last night was never supposed to happen but the timing was not on my side that day

I went back to the hotel room where Angel was supposed to be

I don't know what's wrong with me like I expect her to be there when I return

I feel that someone entered the room so I turned around to see Abby who was smiling at me "Morning Cloud"

Angel was supposed to greet me that way not you

She looked around the room "Penelope has left?" She acted shocked like she wasn't the reason she left

Last night I was supposed to storm off and head to Nick and Nikki's room but I was stopped by Abby who was going back to her room that night, she asked me if I needed any help and I told her my problem with Penelope

She let me in her room so I can continue to 'vent out' that's what she told me and I forgot to close the door properly, she tried to seduce me by removing her shirt and forcefully pulling me to her. When I tried to pull away it made me step on something that made me slip and fall on top of her and exactly at that moment we were caught by Angel

I couldn't forget her hurtful eyes when she saw us by accident

I ran after her back to her hotel room but she locked the door immediately and for the whole night I waited by her door but Nick persuaded me to go to their room so I could sleep properly and explain everything to her tomorrow

Abby tried to approach and I glared at her "I hope that this is the last time we will be seeing each other" I tried to walk away but she blocked my path

"I thought we had something after what happened that night, she didn't look like she had anything to offer"

It was that from that moment that the girl that I thought who has finally become a normal person turned out to be a bitch, she insulted Angel and I can't accept that

"It was my mistake for inviting you, I hope karma bites back. Also, for the record, there was nothing between us after that night" I sneered at her before hitting her shoulder on my way out

Nikki ran to me and told me that she told Angel's parents that she went home immediately and that they were going home too, I decided to join Angel's family on the way back and both of the twins followed me

We caught a train going back home and for three straight days I tried to call and message her to the best of my abilities, Aiden also must have turned off his phone because he wasn't answering Nick's calls either

Her sisters were worried but the parent has it worse, they looked like they were going to faint if they couldn't find her. When we finally arrived at the station I hurriedly went to my car and started to drive back home immediately

I prayed to God that she is there either cooking, reading a book, or is sound asleep

As long that she is there I'm happy with that

I reassured myself that maybe she is there so when I finished parking my car I ran out to the elevator. When the doors of the elevator opened I searched around the penthouse, I went to the terrace

She's not here

I searched the bedroom

She is not here

The kitchen is also empty, so does the library and the room where the piano is

WHERE IS SHE!?

I feel my eyes water and I try to hold my tears

Maybe she is hiding and waiting to scare me

That's when I finally saw it, there were 2 folded letters on the coffee table. One of them is for her family and the other is for me

I didn't have the strength to open my letter so I delivered the letter to her parents first, when I arrive at their home Ella told me that Penelope is nowhere in their home too. She was the one who accepted the letter before "The letter was left on the coffee table at home" I told her

She looks at the letter with a puzzled look but then when she opened it her eyes started to water, tears were falling out of her eyes before she turned around to face inward of the house "MOM, DAD, PENELOPE RAN AWAY!" She yelled as she started to cry a lot

That can't be true, I was just with her three days ago that night at the hotel she can't be gone

Her Mom and Dad went down to see the letter and suddenly Mrs. Price fainted the rest of the sisters cried, Laborè was also trying not to cry while she help her sister in law

I went out and was headed to my car when suddenly I heard someone call my name "Cloud"

Adeline was behind me, her eyes were filled with tears yet it was filled with all the anger in the world. She walked up to me slowly before she slapped me "I heard what happened from Nick, You promised us...YOU PROMISED US THAT YOU WOULDN'T HURT HER NOW LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE!"

"BECAUSE OF YOU, SHE IS NOW MISSING!" She started to hit my chest with anger and with every hit I kept saying "I'm sorry"

"I'm sorry"

Adeline continued to hit me with frustrated tears falling down from her eyes

"I'm so so sorry"

I promised her sisters I wouldn't hurt her

I didn't care if I was getting hurt, all I care about was where is Angel right now

When I got back home I looked at the neatly folded letter on the table, my hands were shaking when I tried to open it

It says:

Thanks for everything, I'll make sure someday when we meet again I'll repay my debt. I hope you will be cured of your insomnia and live happily as you should

Angel you fucking idiot, how could I live happily when my only happiness was you?

If I have confessed earlier maybe this could've been avoided, I didn't notice that my tears were falling on the paper

First my sister, now her, Luck must have come with a price

It's taking away everything I care for even if I have everything but in reality I don't

Angel, please come home

I'll stop teasing you, I'll call you pretty, I'll call you smart like you've always wanted, we could get a bunny and dog together, I will listen about your hopes and dreams

Please just come back, I'm begging you

Angel, please come back

It turns out I might have been crying for about 1 hour, it's so quiet in the penthouse

Is this how Angel feels when I was in Spain?

I can't hear her voice or laugh anywhere, the picture of her face in my hand was not enough. It was a picture of her when she first visited my home at the palace, I looked through my sketchbook and admire her face from all of my sketches

She always wanted to see my sketches but I always hid them from her

The bed feels empty even if there were many pillows that it almost seemed cramped, I miss her hugs they were the most comforting and warmest hugs that I can always feel happy in

I dialed a close person that I knew before I started High School, While waiting for him to pick up my call I continue to look at all of Angel's pictures and my sketches of her

I'm not gonna let you go, I'll turn this world upside down if I have to
