《Bear》8

"No."

Bear crossed his arms around his chest and shook his head like a stubborn child.

He didn't care about the fact that his future mother-in-law was glaring at him, while his Papa looked ready to die of embarrassment.

He would not do it.

Bear didn't care about what tradition or any of Titus' old fashioned royal alpha family members said.

He would not let a bunch of omegas bathe him in milk.

He was a 30 year old man and he could bathe himself, the only other person he would allow to bathe him would be his alpha.

"Dańte Vallen you will stop this nonsense this instant! Time is wasting and you need to be ready for your mating ceremony in two hours. So suck it up and let them bathe you." Growled Elena, his mother- in-law.

Bear raised a brow and scoffed. This woman may have birthed his soon-to- be husband, but that did not give her the right nor any power to order him around.

If she thought she was going to tell this omega what to do, she was in for a huge surprise. A Bear sized surprise.

"Firstly I'm not going to let them bathe me. And secondly you can't change my mind or order me around. So stop wasting your breath mother-"

"Bear!"

Bear shut his mouth, and looked at Alex who looked like he wanted to punch some sense into his son.

"Yes?"

Papa sighed and looked at Elena with an apologetic smile on his face.

"I'm so sorry about this Elena, but I think Bear is right. It's an old fashioned tradition and we're only going to waste time trying to convince my son. He is very stubborn."

Elena rolled her eyes and scoffed.

"Fine."

She turned to face the five omegas who stood in the corner of the room, who looked like they were seconds away from bursting into fits laughter.

"You may leave. Go help out in the kitchen."

The five submissives nodded before leaving the room.

"Well go bathe yourself then. You have 15 minutes. And don't forget to scatter the roses in the milk before you get in the tub."

"Yes mother."

Bear had a huge smile on his face as walked to the bathroom and took his bath.

Titus fought the urge to look up at Bear. He knew that the man was seated behind a white veil that acted as a barrier to separate the two males, and that he wouldn't be able to see his face clearly, but that didn't mean he wouldn't at least try and get a glimpse of his omega.

Bear fought back a smile as the Priest joined their hands beneath the veil and chanted their vows.

"Do you Titus Agrabath take Dańte Vallen to be your lawfully and spiritually wedded husband?"

"I do."

"Do you Dańte Vallen take Titus Agrabath to be your lawfully and spiritually wedded husband?"

Bear inhaled and exhaled. There was no going back from this.

"I-"

"Wait!"

Bear tore his eyes away from the Priest and gasped at the sight of the man that had dared to interrupt his wedding ceremony.

Mason stood at the door panting and trying to regain his breath. The man had never ran so fast in his life before. He had gone to Bear's home and was beyond shocked to find out that his Bear, well technically his ex, was getting married.

The submissive had gone home for two weeks and now here he was getting married!

Of course Mason had to stop it. He had made a mistake, Bear was the best thing that had ever happened to him and he needed to get him back.

To hell with the wedding and the new alpha in his life, that man didn't know Bear like he knew him. And he would prove it.

"Mason?"

"Bear, baby I'm so sorry. I've come to my senses, I was such a dick and I'm sorry. But love don't do this, don't marry this man.-"

Gasps filled the beautifully decorated temple as Mason confessed his feelings for Bear.

"1 year 3 months, that's how long I knew you for and Bear I am sorry. I'm sorry I never texted you back, I'm sorry I came home late for dinner, I'm sorry I never told you when I wouldn't be coming home early, and I'm sorry I never told you when I was traveling. I'm so fucking sorry."

Mason looked at the Priest and apologised for his crude language. The man simply nodded his head and watched the scene unfold.

"But the biggest thing I'm sorry about is that I didn't appreciate you, I didn't show you that you are worthy of love. I didn't show you that you are so special Bear and deserve nothing but the best. I'm sorry love. Come back to me and I'll make it up to you. I'll do everything in my power to make things right and love you the way that you deserve to be loved."

Silence filled the temple as Bear watched the man who had hurt him just a few weeks ago.

"You lived with him?"

Elena shook her head as her husband, Mike tried to shush her.

"What?I'm all for omegas living their lives and having rights darling, but tradition is tradition and staying with a man who is not you husband before marriage is wrong."

"Elena that's enough, this is not any of our business-"

"Tanner was perfect." She whispered before shutting her mouth.

Bear tore his eyes away from Elena and ignored the sting in his chest at her words.

He looked at Titus through the veil that separated them and found himself smiling.

The alpha didn't look worried, instead his eyes were closed as gently rubbed his thumb on Bear's palm.

Bear knew what he had to do.

"I do."

Mason and half of the guests gasped as the Priest chuckled before wrapping the red and white ribbon around their joined hands.

Titus opened his eyes and smiled as well. He trusted Bear and he knew that he would make the right decision.

A hand landed on Mason's shoulder and he looked behind him. His eyes met emerald green ones and he felt himself freezing on the spot.

"Hi, you look like shit."

Mason's jaw dropped as the male chuckled and led him outside.

"Let's go get you a drink."
