《Bear》7

Bear had a small smile on his face as he exited the Doctors office and made his way down the hallway to the elevator.
He had just gotten his monthly check-up and had not been surprised at the fact that he was healthy. Bear looked after himself and made sure to exercise and follow a good diet, with cheat days of course.
He had also gotten his bi-monthly heat supplements and birth control pills which he had to get in his home town's clinic since he was stuck in town until they sorted out the Titus' issue.
And speak of the devil, or in this case think of the devil and he shall appear, thought Bear as Titus appeared before him.
The smile tore off Bear's lips as his eyes met that of Titus, the alpha that had caused his brothers heartbreak and was the reason that the omega was locked in his bedroom since the previous night.
"You!"
Bear forgot his manners. Bear forgot that this was the alpha who had made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
All Bear saw was the man who had broken his baby brother's heart and had caused the man to hate Bear.
Bear was seething with anger.
"Bear-"
"Shut up!" Bear growled earning a few gasps from the nurses who stood across the hallway watching the omega.
Titus frowned as he took in his soon- to-be husband's angered form. Judging by his clenched fists, the alpha concluded that the submissive might have wanted to hit him but his cocoa brown eyes said something different.
Bear wanted to submit.
Submissive's were built to submit to the dominant. It didn't matter how many rights the government gave them or how many skills they were taught to fend for themselves. It was in their nature to submit to someone more dominant than them, regardless of gender.

But Titus wouldn't use that against his omega.
Yes, his omega.
The man had surprised his family with his decision to marry Bear. His mother, who had developed a liking for Tanner, had been against his decision while his father didn't care who the alpha chose. All he wanted was to see his son get married. Titus' brother had broken down in laughter when the man had Skyped him to inform him of his decision but ultimately his twin had supported his decision.
Titus kept silent as he opened his office door and walked in, he knew that the angry Bear would follow him. And the man was right.
As soon as Bear stepped into his office, the man slammed the door shut and pinned the omega to the wall.
Bear smelled divine and Titus had half a mind to kiss him senseless as he inhaled his sweet, delectable scent.
"Bear."
His voice was barely above a whisper and the submissive fought the urge to submit himself to the man and instead pushed him away.
"I'm not going to marry you. I don't care what anyone says. You made a mistake in that letter, you will write another one apologising to my family for the pain that you have caused, and then you will confirm that you are getting married to Tanner Vallen. I'm not yours Alpha Titus, and I will never be."
Bear did not wait for the man's response, instead he sent a glare in the man's direction before walking out of the handsome doctor's office.
Titus stared at his open door and laughed.
Bear was truly something else.
°•°•
But dad-"
"Shut up! You will marry Titus and you will be happy with him. I've thought about this and Jessie is right."
"With all due respect father, I will not marry Titus."

David slammed his fist down on the desk causing the omega to jump up in surprise.
"Father-"
"All your life I have let you do your own thing. The world would say go right and you, you my son would go left. And as your father, I went down that path with you. I've always turned my cheek when it came to you. But today you will listen to what I have to say. I don't care if you are 30 years old, I don't care about the fact that you left home long ago. You are still my little boy, my son and I am your father. And you will listen to me. Do you understand me?"
Bear nodded his head before scooting backwards in the bed, trying to get his body under control. His father had never spoken so sternly to him and it had shook him to the core, his body wanted to bear it's neck but at the same time it wanted to jump into the alpha's arms for comfort.
Bear needed a drink.
"Do you trust me?"
Bear looked at his Dad and nodded.
"With my life."
"Then trust me when I say that this is it. That Titus is the man for you. I love you Bear and I wouldn't do anything to hurt you."
"But Tanner-"
"Is going to be okay."
Bear looked behind his father, and spotted the owner of the voice in his doorway.
The younger man walked inside and sat down next to Bear on the bed. He took his hand in his and looked at his elder brother.
"I prayed to Goddess to let you finally meet your mate. I prayed to Goddess for your happiness and she used me to open that door for you. If it wasn't for my Introduction ceremony you would not have met Titus. And I'm sorry about earlier, I just needed to vent and I let out my anger on you. And it wasn't right. I'm happy for you and now that my mind is clear I can see that Titus and I would not have worked in the long haul. He's yours and-"
"I'm his."
Bear completed.
Tanner nodded with a smile on his face. He wanted to be angry with Bear, he wanted to curse and hate him..But he couldn't.
Bear had loved him, protected him and always been there for him. Bear always put others before himself. His older brother had been through so much and he deserved more. He derserved a break.
It was Bear's turn to be loved,to be protected and to be taken care of. And Tanner knew deep in his heart, beneath all the pain of being rejected and humiliated, that Titus belonged to Bear. That Titus was meant for his brother.
The alpha never belonged to him and would never be his. And anyone with eyes or any sense could see that.
"So do I call them to confirm the wedding?"
All eyes turned to their Papa who stood in the door way, eyes filled with hope and excitement, both David and Tanner nodded while Bear paled as he memories from his last doctor's visit flashed in through his mind.
"Oh um...there might be a problem."
Bear was in so much trouble.
